About Tanya R Haigh

I have owned a lettings company which specialises in private owned self catering holidays since 2006. In 2011 I acquired a fully ATOL bonded travel business which meant I could enhance the "Cyprus Villa" bookings by assisting clients with flights, airport parking and lounges, private transfers, car hire and resort excursions. This now means our Villa customers can have more peace of mind knowing I have travel experience, and can offer them a complete package, rather than them booking the holiday extras themselves.

Travel is my passion and I have travelled extensively for 20 years. At the last count I had visited 7 Continents, 56 Countries & 140 destinations. Because of this I love to give travel advice on many destinations, not just Cyprus.

Why Tanya R Haigh chose Paphos & Suburbs

We bought the Villa in June 2007, even though it wasn't complete we fell in love with the location, and knew the villa would be completed as per the plans by the reputable developer.

I have always been a fan of the Greek Islands, and Cyprus had a nicer feel to it, and I suppose more modern.

We had already decided on the Paphos region, and chose Chloraka because of the idyllic location between Paphos & Coral Bay

What makes this villa unique

When I stay in the Villa myself, I especially like the short journey from Paphos airport, around 15 minutes. The local restaurants are fabulous, and of course the constant sunshine you get in Cyprus.

If days are spent at the Villa, I enjoy swimming in the private pool. It was a wise choice upgrading to a larger kidney shaped one, rather than the standard square size.

We stayed here for one week but wished we had booked to stay for longer. The villa is so comfortable and spacious inside and out. The pool is massive and so clean the pool area and gardens are private. The beds are comfortable and clean. We watched the sunset every night from the patio before we went out. There is a bar within a five minute walk from the villa showing Sky sports. The Wifi at the villa was great. We have stayed in lots of villas in Paphos over the years but I have to say this is the best one we have stayed in. Tanya who dealt with our booking was very helpful. Whilst we were there we loved it so much we have booked to return for two weeks in September, so if you are looking at this villa just book it you won't be disappointed (latest review on TA)

Outside: The front of the Villa consists of a private garden and large kidney shaped pool. We have a selection of sun loungers, chairs & parasols plus there is a shaded patio area for Al Fresco dining. To the rear of the villa we have a small terrace and small dining table and chairs for breakfasts in the sunshine. Utility Room: Iron, Ironing Board, Clothes Airers Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and Linen are included on all bookings. A check in / check out clean is included in the rate, additional cleaning mid-term must be arranged and a fee is payable locally

Be aware

The villa is as described in the other reviews, spacious, comfortable, air-conditioned, good Wi-Fi, etc. The same can be said for the management team, certainly the team we had, they were excellent.

The location is great a bar only minutes walk away and a restaurant a bit further at ten minutes walk. All other amenities are twenty plus minutes walk or a car/bus is needed, we had a car so can't comment on the busses.

We turned up in the dark and were unaware of the building site opposite until the next day when a large tipper truck turned up and dumped a sixteen ton load of hardcore. That was the start of a holiday constantly disturbed by builders from early morning till mid/late afternoon trucks and forklifts trundling past and cement mixers with pumps, (two trucks), directly opposite and the dust? Don't get me started.

The coastal path one way was cut off by the extensive building project that stretched all the way down to the sea.

We did have lovely holiday but not quite as imagined and the owner was very apologetic, she offered a reduction in the rental or alternative accommodation, neither of which came to fruition.

It's a great villa but sadly, I imagine, no longer sunset view.

I left it this long to review to give the owner time to, "discuss with the management team what sort of tenants we were", before any offer of compensation was made. As mentioned we've heard nothing.

The pictures are clearly out of date if the building work carried on at the rate we witnessed and I urge you to check before agreeing to rent.

Owner's Response: I'm a little confused about your comment re: "the delay" in posting - Your wife Tonia did post a review on Trip Advisor but it got removed due to it being abusive (towards me personally) and many incorrect statements, which were investigated by all concerned. We honestly had no idea of the construction before you arrived, in contrast to your wife's statement that "I knew all along", if you check the reviews on booking.com, we had a high score rating from a guest who stayed 02/07 to 09/07 and no mention of construction, which actually commenced "the day you arrived", for which we were really sorry, when we realised later. You were offered alternative accommodation, but your wife responded and I quote her text which we still have "we have booked some trips, have headphones in case of noise, and are totally making the most of our break, have a great time in London xx" If anyone did want to move, we refunded (it happened once in October) But in your case you stayed, gave great feedback to our managers, then came home and asked for money "after" your full stay. I am sorry but we don't respond to threats to damage our business, and / or give refunds to people who have enjoyed a full holiday. The building work has finished now, and anyone affected, who conducted things in a correct manner, did indeed get moved or compensated between August & October. Thank you for your positive feedback regarding our managers, they are the best we have had. It is such a shame in their first year of employment, we have had some construction issues, however 2017 looks trouble free, thank goodness. Just as guests review us, we also review guests, and that is to see our local manager's report on feedback they encountered, & any maintenance issues that may of occurred during the holiday. The report we have states you were happy with everything, and there were no critical issues. It is really important for us to get a report too, so we can improve on anything in the future.

Nice clean and spacious villa.

Enjoyed the Villa and pool, the on call maintenance people were very good. Disappointed we were only told the day before we flew out that there was building work directly opposite. Very noisy every day from 7am to 4pm even on a Saturday. Was anoyed that the owners were obviously aware of this yet still charged the full rental price. Kind of spoiled what would have been a good holiday.

Fab for our girls winter sun break

Peaceful and picturesque location, Large open kitchen/dining area great for a big family/group of friends.

Easily accessible to pretty beach called Coral Bay & Paphos Harbour, Decent sized private pool, clean throughout and good Wi-Fi reception

Above all our expectations!

Really loved our stay here! Absolutely gorgeous villa, everything there you should need - including very good wifi! The pool area is fab! The villa also has stunning ocean views and we spent a lovely evening just sitting on our balcony and looking straight out to the sea.... :-)

This villa completely exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be booking again!

Great Stay

My family and I stayed in Chloraka Sunset View for 2 weeks in August. It was a wonderful holiday, right from the private pool to the local beaches, shops and restaurants. For those who don't like to venture so far, there are many reasonably priced supermarkets in the area so you can stock up in the villa and enjoy lazy days by the pool followed by nights watching the sunset. Many Thanks we will return in the future for sure.

Wonderful Villa

After visiting the Paphos region for many years, my family found the perfect location - Chlorakas ! It is ideal for visiting both Paphos and Coral Bay. This villa is modern, clean, has a beautiful pool and very important for me - excellent wifi connection !! The owner is extremely helpful and assisted us with all our travel arrangements, therefore a very smooth booking process. I would recommend a car so you can enjoy driving to the special restaurants off the tourist trail and sample the 'real Cyprus". We will return again, Jay Oct 2014

500m to the sea front, however rocky infront of the villa. The nearest sandy beach is a 10 minute walk to St Georges. Alternatively, Coral Bay is a 10 - 15 minute drive away.


The nearest airport is Paphos airport, only 15 km away, and takes around 20 minutes by car.

Larnaca airport is 135 km and takes around 1 and a half hours by car.

Car are is not essential but highly recommended so you can enjoy visiting local attractions at your own pace. It's very easy to drive around Paphos, especially for the British because its the same side of the road !


There are a couple of bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the Villa. The nearest busy area is "Tomb of The Kings" a short drive or a 25 minute walk. Then slightly further you have Paphos Harbour which is too far to walk but easily accessible by car or regular bus service. Going in the other direction you can drive to Coral Bay in around 10 minutes for one of the best local beaches.

Further Details:

There are many local shops in the Chloraka / Paphos area but the most convenient & cheapest is Lidl just on the main road from the villa. The nicest Cypriot supermarket is Papantonious For a local friendly bar a stones through from the villa I recommend "Dimma Bar" and for a great value meal with huge portions "Gustos Restaurant" which is just on at Tomb of The Kings. For a fabulous authentic taste of Cyprus I would highly recommend Viklari (The Last Castle). I would certainly need to give you directions for that, once you find it, you will love the food, service and amazing views over Paphos.
