Converted factory warehouse - beautiful stone building on outskirts of Soller set into the mountain. High ceilings and spacious apartments, each with own private entrance & private outside area with beautiful views of the town and mountains. 10 minute walk into the busy town square, excellent weekly market, range of shops bars and restaurants. No need for a car - local buses, trains and trams run through Soller year round. Only 3km from the beautiful sandy beaches of Port Soller and the glamorous waterfront marina. The property is situated on the GR221 walking route between Soller and Deia, and is very close to the Ma10 tramunatana road for cyclists. The notorious Col de Soller is well worth the effort. The apartments have plenty of space for bikes which can be hired locally or brought with you. The property is surrounded by lemon and orange groves as well as olive trees, typical of the Soller valley mountain area. Local buses, the 'Orange Express' train and Port tram operate daily services year round.

About the Owner

Christian and I bought the property in the summer of 2014. Having left London and busy city life, we now enjoy the peace and quiet of this rural mountain town location.

We also love this area - it's got everything, a large range of high mountains for stunning hikes and world class road cycling; fantastic food including michelin star restaurants; exciting art galleries with original works by Picasso and Miro; and a large marina nearby with great sandy and rocky beaches.

Our guests find the area incredibly relaxing - there's as little or as much to do as you want on your holiday. Plenty of fresh mountain air and good food - with stunning scenery all around.

Relaxing stay in tastefully renovated apartment

We (4 adults) stayed in the Mountain View apartment for 4 nights in mid September. It was all we hoped it would be and more. The photos don't do justice to the spaciousness of the apartment which has been interestingly renovated. The facilities are very good and the shower is especially effective (and welcome on hot days). The view from the large roof terrace is awesome and we spent quite a few hours relaxing reading in the sun .

Car parking was easy and the walk into the centre of Soller took about 10 minutes. The local supermarket (great croissants and meat pies!) was only about a 5 minute walk and had a good choice of essentials.

Phoebe and Christian were super hosts and gave us plenty of local tips. We enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend the apartment.

Great location and accommodation

We've stayed in Fornalutx a couple of times, but on this occasion we decided to base ourselves in Soller, as it's a more happening place in early Spring. We were fortunate enough to book Soller View for a short break. It's ideally situated: just outside town, but a few minutes walk from shops, restaurants and everything else; and it is right on the route of some great walks in the mountains. Car parking space here is plentiful, and a lot easier than the town centre.

Phoebe and Christian were perfect hosts. The weather was unseasonably cold when we were there, and they made sure that we had plenty of heating to be cosy in the accommodation. Highly recommended.

Phoebe and Christian have are marvelous hosts and have done a tremendous job renovating the apartments in this unique soap factory. We loved the apartment. It was very spacious, clean, had everything we needed and was in an ideal location. We were just a 5 minute walk from a great market and from the city center. The property is right on several hiking trails. Phoebe and Christian were wonderful. We definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

From the Owner

We wanted a property with some character and the former olive oil factory site has provided that to a huge extent. We have been trying to renovate sympathetically without losing the site's remaining original features. The weather is always great - even if it's raining, the sky will be blue the next minute. Great during the long hot summer season, but also great during winter as the crowd's die down and the valley takes on a romantic feel whilst giving that all-important dose of sunshine.

Activity and Interests


3km to the beach - 5 minute drive or 10 minutes on the local tram from the square, an experience in itself. Port Soller has several sandy beaches, great for families; and a large waterfront marina with a long promenade.


Half an hour's drive from Palma airport and ferry terminal. Car hire is not necessary - there are good public transport links within a 5 minute walk. Local buses run to the mountain villages (Deia, Valldemossa) as well as through to central Palma. The famous Tren de Soller runs between Soller and Palma and is a beautiful mountain ride. Their are connecting trams from Soller to the Port every 15 minutes.


5/10 minute walk from the centre of Soller, 3km to Port Soller. We are opposite the Botanical Gardens and very close to famed Jardins D'Alfabia. Plenty of excellent walks and cycle routes from the property. 15 minutes from Deia, the mountain village full of artists and famous faces.

Further Details:

Several local supermarkets, a full range of shops and banks in Soller. It is the main town for the area. Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and even more at the Port.
