The property is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from it all but still only be a short drive from Pembrokeshire's best beaches and the UK's smallest city of St Davids.

Great stay at Carreg Las

What an outstanding property in this tranquil part of South Wales.

We had seven days of peace and quiet with our Daughter, partner and two children, in this idillic location with plenty to do in the surrounding areas and plenty of walking available down the country lanes and footpath.

Particularly appreciate was the layout and the beautiful garden although I would advise taking your own barbecue implements since none were provided.

The kitchen is very well equipped and there is tons of space. Also the utility room is great for emergency washing when required, (Take your own washing powder though).

The agency staff were very helpful and attentive.

All in all we would recommend this for a great holiday home away from home and would return in the future.

Good places to visit are Tenby, St Davids, Dinosaur World, Pembroke Castle and the local pub Wolfe Inn at Wolfe Castle on the A40 is a good traditional pub with well cooked food though book in advance for Sunday Lunch.

Good supervised beaches are to be found here with plenty of surfing though check for dog friendliness since some are off limits during the summer season. The beach ad Tenby allows dogs and its a very clean beach with caves in the rock face.

Outstanding. Well thought out, warm and spacious.

The property and its garden were well maintained, clean and comfortable. If anything, it exceeded its descriptions and our expectations. It was in a quiet peaceful rural location but with easy access to the coast, the Pembrokeshire coastal path, and some excellent places to dine. It is a holiday location I will be recommending to my friends and relatives. My only minor concern was that it lacked a bottle opener, but I have rectified this. My wife and I felt quite sad when we were leaving and look forward to going again.

Location

From the Owner

The feeling of calm and peace of the area. The fact it is off the beaten track so cars are few and far between. We love the silence that comes with this property. There is something special about sitting in the garden and hearing only nature.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is Newgale 7 miles away with its miles of golden sands and a good selection of water sports such as windsurfing, surfing, kite boarding and kayaking it has something for everyone.

As with all of Pembrokeshire a half hour drive will take you to many different beaches all with their own unique tributes. so whether you want quiet, small, a cove, or a beach to yourself you can easily find one. Our guide to Pembrokeshire beaches in the welcome folder will help you find one.

Distances:

Haverfordwest is the nearest town with supermarkets, shops, takeaways, swimming pool and small cinema, It is 8 miles from the property. 5 mins drive takes you to Wolfe Inn which has excellent standard of meals available.
