We (4) enjoyed 3 nights in the cottage which was modern, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The location was ideal for getting into Sheffield by train (sort drive to Hathersage station) and for driving into the countryside. Thankfully we did not need to make use of the drying room during our stay! Would happily say again.
Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts and grateful for provision of milk and tea/coffee (and kitkats!!). Great location to explore Hathersage and local walks. Beautifully decorated and furnished cottage. Would definitely recommend 🙂
Very comfortable & clean cottage & convenient for Hathersage where we were attending a party, Beautiful views
Lovely, friendly & helpful owners,
Thank you for a great stay
We had a lovely time staying at Hawthorn Cottage over Christmas. All contact with Helen was prompt , efficient and informative. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and we found the cottage to be perfect for our needs. Thank you for helping to make our Christmas break 2017 very enjoyable indeed.
Hawthorn cottage is a nice size for a short break, has good, off-road parking space and is well located to explore the Peak District. The beds were comfortable, there were ample, clean towels and we found the kitchen equipped with everything we needed - including small, useful items like foil and kitchen roll. The only other thing, that might be nice to have, would be a DVD player but the cottage is very pleasant and we would like to return in future.
Clean and well equipped comfortable cottage.Short walk to Hathersage. Road noise can be heard in twin room but less in double.Helpful owners live behind cottage.
