Villa in Alcalali, Jalon Valley, Costa Blanca North, Spain - Peaceful Cul De Sac location On a small urbanisation just outside the villag

Alcalali is in the beautiful Jalon valley famous for its almonds and wine. In spring the valley is a mass of pink almond blossom and in September the grape harvest is in full swing. The villa was built by the owners and has been furnished in a tasteful and modern fashion. The focus is on outside living with many different areas to eat and relax both inside and out. The villa is suitable for families and couples and provides a great base for your Spanish holiday.

With three large bedrooms (2 doubles and one twin) the property provides flexible sleeping arrangements together with 2 bathrooms and a large open plan lounge/dining room with satellite TV. Finally the fully fitted kitchen completes the package.

Outside there are 4 eating areas including a covered Naya and a formal dining terrace with large gas BBQ.. The garden has lighting to enjoy dining and relaxing in the warm evenings.

Plenty of sunbeds are provided to soak up the sun on either the pool or garden terraces and a large swimming pool comes with pool / beach towels. Should the children ever tire of the beach or pool various outside games are provided for all the family.

The Valley and mountain views from everywhere are fantastic and the garage and drive give plenty of safe parking.

When Linda and I retired we decided to buy a holiday home in Spain. We undertook a lot of research before we found the Jalon Valley and decided to build our own villa.

Over the years we have changed and improved the property and we now think we have everything just right and we would like to invite you to come and enjoy the villa where outside living is just as important as inside.

If you have not yet visited the Jalon Valley you are in for a real treat.

Just about a perfect villa. Good location for biking and quiet countryside relaxation. Very well kept property, will all the required amenities. Quick an efficient communication with owners and service team. We hope to be back some time

Quiet, rural, beautiful, fantastic pool, great views

Stayed in october, and heating the pool was well worth the extra money as the weather was mixed! The pool is big and slopes to at least 1.8m deep which delighted the children. The pool and outside toys kept our 3 children (ages 8,11,13) happy. It would have been nice if the swingball ball was replaced, as it was broken and we didn't know where to get a replacement, but otherwise villa was faultless and well equipped. Being Scottish we missed having a teapot!

The drive to the beach is 30-45 minutes and needs a sat nav/mobile maps but we easily found some beautiful spots, as recommended by the brochures in the villa. Villages nearby have all you need- great bakery, local wine, charcuterie/butcher, fruit/veg stalls are great quality and value. There are plenty places to eat out, some are walkable. There is a great walking route between the nearest villages in amongst the farms. Locals were friendly, very welcoming and were patient when we tried to use spanish for the first time.

We had a fabulous holiday and all of us would definitely want to return. The villa description is accurate and we were not disappointed in any way. The layout is great, with parents having en suite room at one side of villa and the children at the other side. I would not recommend this villa for toddlers, because of a lot of hard steps outside and the pool is right outside the front door. Anyone that has diffficulty with steps might struggle too.

Any queries we had were answered very quickly before we left and the couple who meet you are very welcoming and helpful- they are a english couple.

This Villa had everything we wanted and more!

Peaceful,private and wonderful views. This is a really comfortable villa with everything provided to make a great holiday. We paid extra for pool heating as it was late September. Worth every penny and we were able to make great use of the fantastic pool. The owners use a very efficient agent who kept in touch prior to our arrival and were excellent throughout our stay.

Excellent standard, modern villa in a tranquil setting. Perfect for chilling out.

Just spent 2 weeks at Casa Alta. We have returned thouroughly relaxed and rested. The villa is modern and fitted out to a high standard. Pool is excellent and kept my 13 and 8 year old entertained, Paul was thoughtful enough to put out a couple of inflatables until we made the inevitable trip to purchase more. The area is quiet but there are plenty of good restaurants and easy access to supermarkets etc. Neighbours were very friendly and informed us of any local events happening within the area and would have been pleased to help if required. Day trips to Calpe and Denia were enjoyable and a trip to the Valor Chocolate Factory was good fun. If you enjoy gardening, the many garden centres are worth popping into (although frustrating that you cannot bring home any plants), the garden areas within the villa are interesting and we enjoyed the different seating areas depending on the time of day. I am unable to think of any negatives about this holiday at all, both adults and children enjoyed equally as much.

Perfect villa with stunning views

We went for two weeks with our two teenage boys, 16 & 14. We have stayed in the Jalon valley on a number of occasions. It is a beautiful peaceful area with stunning views, but still only a short drive away from the beach resorts.

The villa location was perfect, taking advantage of those views with plenty of outside living areas and a very clean large pool. The villa itself is modern and extremely well equipped. It has the added benefit of air conditioning so a good nights sleep is guaranteed.

The owner, Jerry always replies promptly when sent any emails. He uses a local agent so you have contact with someone over there during your stay. Paul and Louise were our contacts and they couldn’t have been more helpful, cleaning the pool, changing the linen and provided local knowledge of where to eat at the many local bars and restaurants.

We will certainly return to the Jalon valley in the future and when we do we will definitely book this villa again. All in all it is a big thumbs up.

Activity and Interests

Car: necessary


There many beautiful beaches of Denia, Moraira, Javea and Calpe are within half an hours drive, the nearest being 20 minutes.


The villa is equidistant between Alicante and Valencia airports, both about an hours drive away.

A car is essential.


The old moorish village of Alcalali with its historic tower, local shops and restaurants is within walking distance, about 15 minutes. Jalon, famous for its winemaking and bodegas, is about 3 km, 5 minutes drive away. Jalon has a large supermarket and famous Saturday rastro market.

There are famous caves at Benidoleig about 20 minutes away and the water and theme parks of Benidorm are about 35 minutes drive.

Guadalest, the beautiful hill top town, and its waterfalls are 45 minutes drive

Further Details:

In the village there is a church, bakers, butchers and delicatessen, small supermarket, bank, newsagent. There's a choice of about half a dozen restaurants and a number of great local bars.

Jalon has the supermarket and many more local shops

  • Outside: Large plot with secluded gardens. The garden is lit at night for al fresco dining on the dining terrace with a table for 6 and adjacent BBQ area with modern gas BBQ. There are 5 terraces, one of which is a very large terrace on the upper level for sunbathing or dining with stunning views over the valley and the Montgo mountain. Various seating areas are scattered about the garden taking advantage of the wonderful views.The mountain behind the garden is left to nature with a back gate for access. The private pool is 9m x 5m surrounded by large terracing for sunbathing. It can be heated at an additional charge. There are sunbeds and cushions with parasols, together with another outside dining set. The pool areas have non slip crazy paving and are accessed directly from the villa. There are lime, orange, lemon, mandarin and fig trees which you are welcome to pick when in fruit. There is a large integral garage with additional space on the drive for 2 more cars. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Cleaning, towels and bed linen are included with beach towels available for use. Fresh bedding and towels are provided weekly. Twice weekly pool cleaning in summer, weekly out of season. Large landscaped garden fully maintained.
