About Stephen Conway

Hi my name is Stephen Conway, a publisher and my wife Hazel Morgan who is a world class portrait artist

We have created Stonhenge Cottages to give people like us the ultimate boutique getaway.

Stephen Conway purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Stephen Conway chose Salisbury

We love this area as it is the most stunning valley near to Salisbury and Stonehenge. It has the real wow factor and yet is peaceful and tranquil. A very spiritual area.

What makes this cottage unique

Being directly opposite the pub means no more deciding who is going to drive. It serves great food and has a great restaurant. We also provide spa therapies of your choice at the property for an extra fee.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Having booked this accommodation from Australia, I was a little nervous as to whether I had done the right thing, but as soon as I arrived my worries evaporated! From the great welcome by the owners Hazel and Stephen, to the thoughtful touches such as wine, chocolate, eggs, butter and bread awaiting our arrival, right through to the high quality of the decor – the place is very welcoming.

There are so many places to visit nearby such as Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral and a range of beaches within a 30 minute drive, this is the perfect holiday location. There is some of the best fishing in the country on the river Avon (200 yards away) and a lovely country pub with a great pub garden and great value food – this is perfect for those who don’t want to drink and drive!

Beautiful cottage but next to a surprisingly noisy country road

  • 4 of 5

Extremely clean and lots of nice touches including a delicious and very generous breakfast. Right opposite a pub with great food and service. Only down side was that it is right next to a surprisingly noisy country lane which was very busy during peak times and woke us in the middle of the night with a car racing past very noisily. We are traffic noise sensitive so we found it too noisy for us but if traffics noise doesn’t bother you then it is a great place to stay.

What a Stay

  • 5 of 5

This was the most wonderful couple of days. The owner communication was good, the accommodation was outstanding and the ambience was just perfect. The dog was so impressed he didn't want to leave! The rooms were lovely and the bed was like heaven. We will be going back soon to enjoy this piece of joyous tranquillity in such a fantastic setting

Last minute gem

  • 5 of 5

We booked this as a last minute trip as we had appointments in Salisbury the next day and it was nothing short of amazingly beautiful.

Everything you need is there - even things you've forgotten!

Thanks so much and we'll be back as soon as is humanly possible.
