Very cosy.

Really great to be able to wander around the gardens.

Good bird life without having to leave the property and great to be allowed to a access the wood at the top of the track.

Outside: The Small Barn has a small private garden and patio accessed from the living room French doors .Visitors are most welcome to enjoy the nursery gardens at any time during their stay.. These gardens have evolved gradually since the nursery was established at Severals Grange in 1992. The mixed planting schemes illustrate how colour, shape and form can be created with very little emphasis on blooms. By using ornamental grasses movement and lightness can be created and harmonise perfectly with the main structural variegated and coloured leaved plants. An added bonus is the interesting architecture and history of Severals Grange and its barns. The image barn is a listed building. Surrounded by fields and woodland the nursery is a haven for wildlife. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen is provided but please bring your own towels

Small barn was wonderful, all we could ask for in a place to call home for our time in Norfolk. Jane and her colleagues at Severals Grange were very helpful and friendly. Location was great, peaceful but very near to roads leading to local attractions. Affordable, and adorable. Would highly recommend and would visit again. Thank you Jane and team.

Long time visitors to the Small Barn .

  • 5 of 5

The Small Barn is a super little place to stay -self -contained & with it's own private garden. Everything you need is in the barn.

We have been staying there every year since 1997 & will, hopefully continue to do so. We've taken our grandchildren there & they love walking around the nursery as it's perfectly safe.

Another lovely week at the Small Barn.

  • 4 of 5

Another lovely week at the Small Barn. It really is a home from home with everything you need for a very comfortable holiday in Norfolk. The Barn is warm and cosy and is set in the the most delightful gardens of Hocroft Nursery. It is also the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the North Norfolk coast, Norwich or Sandringham. If your thing is a spot of birdwatching, then you will be truly spoiled by this area. In fact you only have to wander around the nursery to see a large variety of birds, not to mention the sheep, chicken and cats! It is also an excellent area if you are a foodie with lots of really good pubs and restaurants not too far away. Roll on July when we will be back again.

New to Norfolk

  • 3 of 5

Small Barn was a cosy and relaxing home for our first time holiday in Norfolk. It was adequately furnished for the needs of the two of us.The owner was very friendly and welcoming at all times whenever we met.

Small Barn was ideally situated for our Birding trips to different Nature Reserves in the area, as the coast was not too far away. It had been chosen for it's central location and it did not disappoint. There was a large superstore with petrol garage on the outskirts of Fakenham, which made shopping very easy.

The wildlife viewed through the window was entertaining too.
