Cosy , warm cottage

  • 3 of 5

On entry the sitting room looked clean and tidy, however there were beverage drips on the coffee table, a sticky area on floor by cooker and old, dried on gravy splashes in the pan cupboard. The latter two areas I made a point of not cleaning. The 2 dinner plates were in poor condition with 'crazed and damaged ' surfaces. The third dinner plate was in a bad state with a large crack across the middle, it should have been put in the bin. The bedroom is lovely with plenty of storage. The bathroom spacious with a good large shower. There were no instruction booklets for the induction hob or for the 'Now TV' system. We could not get any programmes besides ITV. It can't be assumed that all guests will know how to use the gadgets

Staithes is a lovely, friendly village, it has lovely butchers and new deli, good pubs.

Beautiful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We love Staithes and have visited many times before. This is the first time we used this particular cottage and we were not disappointed.

We stayed for a long weekend in early November. When we arrived the cottage was lovely and warm {no need to light the Woodburner for us}, it was well equipped and clean.

The cottage is in the heart of the village so in easy reach of the Cod and Lobster pub, tea shops, general store and harbour.

If you have never been to Staithes before we would recommend a visit to this unspoilt, charming seaside village where the locals are all very welcoming.
