Located in the centre of the old village. The cottage is a 1830's grade II listed fisherman's cottage, which has been renovated to a high standard and has everything for a relaxing stay. The cottage has a a southern aspect making the front garden a lovely sun trap. Hinderwell House has everything you need for a perfect stay in Staithes, a village steeped in history, with so much to see and do. A lovely tearoom, great pubs, fantastic butcher and lots more .

Hinderwell house was very nice. Clean and tidy on arrival with a welcome pack. Nice kitchen and good shower. Bedroom very pretty with a nautical theme. In a good position for the village and local amenities. The only reason I have given 4 stars is that a microwave would have been appreciated. I would recommend this cottage and would visit it again.
We had a lovely 4 night stay in Hinderwell cottage in Staithes. The cottage was perfect for the two of us, and was clean and homely. The owner, Simon, who lives nearby was friendly and welcoming but left us to our own devices. Staithes itself is charming, and is a great base for exploring the area. We'll be back !
The Cottage provided a cosy retreat from the "Spring" weather in Staithes, which was abysmal throughout our stay!
The Multi-fuel Stove was an absolute boon, as outside temperatures, during the day hovered around 4 Degrees C. We brought our own Logs, but wood and coal were, also, on sale in the Village.
The downstairs Living area was comfortable and the Mood Lighting in the well equipped Kitchen area was a novel addition. Our only real issue, was the Digital TV Signal which broke up at times and we were unable to watch BBC Channels for some reason (possibly due to our ineptitude with Technology!).
The upstairs Bedroom was lovely - beautifully furnished and equipped, whist the roomy Shower Room, with a reasonably powerful electric shower, was wonderful.
We dined three times at the Cob and Lobster, which is a friendly and busy Pub, with the added attraction, for me, a good selection of Real Ales. The extensive Menu, should suit every taste, although in terms of quality, our experience was mixed, from lovely to just average to poor - maybe a little inconsistent?
In short, a pleasant stay in a picturesque Fishing Village.
Got there and found how clean the cottage was heating was on tea bags coffee and milk waiting which was a lovely could not falt anything about it will be going back soon as we had a lovely chilled out weekend
We had a lovely 4 nights at Hinderwell House. The house was clean, comfortable and ideal for 2 people. The location was excellent in the heart of the village and we enjoyed eating at The Cod & Lobster which is just a short walk away. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was of good quality. 'Now TV' also had lots of programmes and films available. Great stay and we hope to be back.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hinderwell. We will definitely be returning soon.
