The Barn at Swallowfield is a luxury holiday, self catering, four bedroom semi-detached converted barn, set in a fabulous rural location in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. The barn is ideal for relaxing family and couples holidays set in tranquil surroundings. The barn has exposed timbers throughout and solid oak floors with underfloor heating. A wood burning stove make the barn warm and cosy. It is luxuriously appointed, perfect to relax and unwind. Everything you need to make an unforgettable holiday. The Barn at Swallowfield is ideally located to take advantage of the many activities and places of interest for all year holidays and short breaks. These include the stunning beaches along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, hiking and mountain biking in the Preseli Mountains and great shopping, eateries and pubs in the nearby town of Narberth. The village of Llandissilio is only 1 mile from the barn and the pub is within walking distance of the barn(approximately 1 mile). This is a no smoking property. ONE DOG WELCOME BY ARRANGEMENT. During high season, changeover day is Saturday. Living and Dining: The main living area is open plan, making it ideal for relaxing family holidays with all the extras you would expect from a 5 Star (Visit Wales rated) property. You can cook, dine and relax in this area which is very well equipped for your comfort. A door leads to a terrace with outdoor dining facilities provided in the summertime. There are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside from this area. The kitchen is fully equipped including two ovens and microwave, fridge and freezer and a separate utility room with a washing machine and ironing facilities. A high chair can be provided if required. The living area facilities include 40inch TV with Freeview HD and a DVD player. There is also an ipad, iplayer and iphone docking station. Free WI-FI is provided. A variety of DVD's, music CD's, games and books are provided. Sleeping: Two large bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one with an en-suite and the other has a shower room next door. Two further large bedrooms are located to the first floor, both with full height ceilings and exposed beams. These bedrooms share a family bathroom. Master bedroom with ensuite (ground floor): This bedroom is extremely large and comfortable. A travel cot or temporary childrens bed could be accommodated if required. This bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite with a full sized bath and shower over. There is ample storage provided. All bed linen is luxurious pure cotton with duck feather and down duvet and pillows (these can be changed if required). Towels are also provided. Double bedroom (ground floor) with shower room next door. This bedroom has a double bed and again luxurious bed linen and towels are provided. There is ample storage provided with drawer space and full length wardrobe. First floor bedroom 3: An extremely large twin bedroom with single beds and synthetic duvet and pure cotton bedding - suitable for people with allergies. Towels are provided. This bedroom has full height ceiling and exposed beams. The family bathroom is next door and shared with bedroom 4 on the first floor. First floor bedroom 4: An extremely large double bedroom with full height ceilings and exposed beams. Synthetic duvet and cotton bedding. Towels are provided. The family bathroom is next door and shared with bedroom 3 on the first floor. The layout of the bedrooms offer excellent flexibility. Outside: Outside there is plenty of secure storage for surfboards, bikes, walking boots etc in the large agricultural barn and boiler room. The large rear garden is fenced for the safety of younger children.

Just spent a week at Swallowfield fantastic accomodation, well equipped and beautifully furnished - with lovely welcome from Sue the owner. Our dog loved the spacious fenced garden to play in - great location to explore the area would definitely return and recommend

A home from home

We stayed with a group of friends for a long weekend in March. We had a wonderful stay at the barn; we were welcomed by a 'Welsh' welcome pack, consisting of Prosecco and other yummy goodies, we did some exploring and shopping in the local town (Narberth) and ate Welsh tapas. The owner of the barn was extremely welcoming and friendly, making our stay as relaxing as possible. We only wish that we could have had longer in the area - luckily, we will be back for more!

Wonderful stay in beautiful barn

We enjoyed a very relaxing week in this wonderful barn. It was very well equipped, clean and well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who made us feel very welcome and had some good recommendations of places to visit. It is in a very peaceful and quiet location but only a short drive to some amazing beaches and places of interest (St David's , Narbeth, Pembrokeshire coast) to name a few. We would definitely recommend a stay here to friends and family. We hope to return soon.

The perfect holiday

Perfect holiday barn in a lovely location. Sue the owner was very helpful. Would highly recommend this accommodation if you like plenty of space in a quiet location but plenty to do in the area the barn is ideal. Look forward to returning next year.

Beautiful barn, lovely location.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at The a Barn at Swallowfield over New Year 2015/16. We had a fabulous stay, the barn was beautifully clean, well equipped and ideally located for lots of fabulous places to visit in South Wales. Sue was very helpful and there to meet us with a lovely log fire ready laid and a fantastic welcome package after our long journey from Leeds. Even the very wet weather didn't put a dampener on our stay but would love to revisit in summer when hopefully it would be a bit dryer.

From the Owner

We bought this property because of its location in Pembrokeshire. It is in the heart of Pembrokeshire so all parts of the county are within easy reach, whether you want beaches or beautiful countryside. The property is located only a mile from Llandissilio village and only 5 miles from the town of Narberth with all its hustle and bustle. The shopping and eating in Narberth is excellent so really good to have this just on our doorstep. The deli and tapas bar in Narberth is one of the best I have been to. Amroth beach is just a short car drive away (approx 15 minutes) as is Saundersfoot and Tenby. There is so much to do locally, the property is within easy reach of many attractions such as Bluestone Water Park, Oakwood Theme Park and Follyfarm. Pembrokeshire is surrounded by beautiful coastline and the coastal path. Right on our doorstep we have Llysyfran Country Park and Reservoir. This stunning country park has something for everyone, beautiful walks and cycle runs and a lovely cafe. Ideal for a day out whatever the weather.

The beautiful beach of Barafundel Bay is also within easy reach and is located at Stackpole. A lovely tea room is located at Stackpole and then you can walk over the headland to the beach which can only be reached by foot.
