This beautiful 3 bedroom character cottage was formerly 'Keepers cottage' to Woodperry manor and is set within a 1/3 of an acre of mature garden. It was recently updated, has central heating and WIFI. The cottage offers a relaxing break with lots of interesting places to visit nearby.

Bedding and towels per guest are provided.

High chair and travel cot available.

Pets maybe accepted at the owners discretion and a cleaning charge.

We offer a 3 night minimum stay, 2 night bookings maybe accepted at the 3 night rate, please contact the owner.

We supply 1 bottle of gas per week

The garage is a separate let which is occupied.

We require a 25% non refundable deposit at time of booking and full balance 30 days prior to stay, cancellations will not be credited during this 30 day period.

All bookings and secure payments are managed by myself, not the advertising company, due to additional fees.

We do not accept any liability for loss or damage to vehicles or property.

Notes on accommodation: The cottage has a newly installed LPG boiler. A travel cot and high chair are available on request, pets maybe accepted at an additional cleaning charge. The annexe and garage are rented separately - long term tenant in the annexe Outside: Garden area surrounded by mature trees. Raised patio area with wooden bench. Utility Room: Cottage only: airer, iron, ironing board, boiler situated here, warm drying area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Fresh towels and bed linen supplied for all guests. Cozy Oxford

We had 3 adult couples staying at the cottage. We had picked here because of its central location to places we had day trips planned.. Bath, Cotswold s, London, Oxford. Of course with this itinerary, a car is necessary. As hoped, it proved convenient for our plans. The place is located in the countryside, and very quiet. Occasionally, arriving at the end of the day, evidence of the garage tenet was visible, by the car parked there, but otherwise there was no indication that someone was there.

There a a couple of pubs within a short (2 mi) drive. But, alas we did not have the opportunity to patronize them as we were out and about.

The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, the only challenge being, timing use of the bathroom by 6 adults trying to get ready in the morning. All things considered it meet our needs.

Briliant stay

After couple of weeks stay in hotels. found this place. Owner been very helpful and easy to deal with. One of the best stay in oxford, comfortable, clean, quite.

What else u need. Made our working week far more enjoyable. Will defiantly come back.

Awful property and aggressive owners

Upon arriving the property had an overpowering smell which was found to be contamination from a fuel oil spill previously which we had not been informed before arriving. The building adjacent has a rusting car and rubbish outside. The kitchen was poorly equipped with a noisy old fridge which struggled to hold temperature. The washing machine had a clogged filter which had not been cleaned before our arrival. Towels had not been prepared for the guests and the rooms were very basic with uncomfortable beds and noise from the bathroom extractor fan. The decor in the property is worn, with chipped paint and walls and old furniture. the WI Fi did not work throughout the weekend, and the TV struggled to get reception. There was no welcome pack or information provided as is customary. these concerns were raised to the owner, upon which rather than an apology, severe threats and harassment to myself and my wife were received, with a high level of aggression from the owner.

Owner's Response: Please read the previous reviews of this property I was only informed over 24hrs after the booking that the guests could smell gas - which they now declare to be oil - this was checked and there was no problem - this and a leak from the fridge were the only points initially raised after the booking from the lady who booked the cottage - I responded with a message reassuring her that there was no problem, I mentioned to her then that the old boiler was removed 18months previously. 2 days after these messages I received a call from a man I did not know about the booking, my husband spoke with him and asked him to email me due to me being unavailable and telephone conversations being misinterpreted - he persisted to ring my phone and was ill mannered and abrupt he did not email, it was explained that he should contact me by email as it was harassment, he did not email he persistently rang on a witheld number - we did not meet these people and do not feel that aggression was used in any way. The property had an oil fired boiler which was removed over 18 months ago and replaced with a new LPG boiler - the old boiler was dismantled and the utility room was cleaned and painted - the property does not have an over powering smell of oil or gas and has all safety certificates required by uk law The property was cleaned thoroughly as with all bookings - there were clean towels in the utility room next to the bathroom with a spare bath mat and toilet rolls - tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits were set out in the kitchen - information sheets were located on the fridge directly as you walk in - local information sheets of places to go were in the front room on the coffee table along with brochures of many attractions and bus timetables - the router for the wifi was switched off at the wall, it was working correctly when I cleaned the property prior to their arrival- the vehicle was my tenants work truck - there was no rubbish outside to the far of the garden a tarpaulin covers some building materials - the local TV mast is situated 2 miles from the property and obviously works. The property is a 100 year old period cottage and previous guests have enjoyed every aspect of their stay and never mentioned any of the above problems, I have to accept that you can not please everyone, I would suggest that a 5 star hotel would have suited these people as the cottage did not meet with their expectations or standards.

Forward into the New Year

Our family stayed in Keeper's Cottage for a short term let over New Year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Arriving, the place was clean and well cared for. It was an ideal base to see our relations over the festive period as well as visit Oxford. If we'd have had more time we would have explored the local area as the pubs nearby seemed quite enticing. Thanks to Emily for providing such a great place to celebrate the start of the New Year.

60th Birthday Celebrations

I have just returned from a three night stay with 4 girlfriends at Keepers Cottage. We found the house clean and comfortable and well equipped. Emily was very helpful with all my questions about the house and location, prior to our visit and this made planning our itinerary much easier. Our only criticism was that we could have done with bins in the bedrooms which is a very minor point and indicates how pleased we were with everything!

Loved it!

We stayed at the cottages with 5 people for the weekend. It is a lovely old cottages with wonky flooring and all. The three bedrooms are a really good size and we al sleept lika a baby. The kitchen and bathroom are beautiful. The owner is really friendly and helpfull. And communications are really good. We even got a fresh bouquet of white roses on the mantlepiece on Arrival. Oxford is only a few miles up the Road. We really reccomend this cottage!
