This is a lovely detached lakeside property with gardens that slope down towards the lake where guests can enjoy the beautiful clear waters to cool off from the heat of the sun.

Inside, the property is set over two levels with the majority of the living and bedroom space currently arranged on the first floor area. This first floor space houses a kitchen, living and dining area, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The interior is contemporary and stylish.

A staircase leads down to the lower floor, which is completely open to the lake. There is a third bathroom downstairs, ideal to shower in after coming in from the garden as well as a laundry room. From this level there is direct access to the garden, which slopes gently down to the beach area. Loungers are provided and there is plenty of shade provided underneath the overhanging terrace. Two sets of stairs on either side of the property go back to the parking area.

The interior has been arranged so that all rooms offer beautiful views of the lake. The views from the property are exceptional. There are fantastic lake views across to the opposite shore with the picturesque towns and villas of Meina, Lesa and Belgirate.

The villa is within walking distance of the boat stop where you can catch a boat to all the other towns and villages on the lake. You can also walk to a village store and restaurant.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest lakeside beach is literally at the bottom of the garden! The lake is wonderful to swim in, with beautifully clean and clear water. There are plenty of other beaches to enjoy around the lake as well as a number of lidos, many offering swimming pools as well as lake access, along with watersports hire.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa which is approximately 40 minutes away by car. Other airports include Milan Bergamo and Milan Linate. Both are under 90 minutes from the villa. Car hire is not essential as you can walk to restaurants and a village store from the property. However, car hire is recommended if you are to make the most of your stay and explore the area fully.

Distances:

The nearest restaurant is within walking distance of the property. You can also walk into Ranco where there are a couple of additional restaurants and a village store.

Further Details:

The property is perfectly placed for visiting Stresa, Arona & the Borromean Islands, or to catch a boat to the other wonderful towns and villages on the lake including Cannobio, Ascona, Locarno and Luino. A great day out is the Lake Maggiore Express by boat up to Ascona and Locarno where you take the '100 Valley' train into the Swiss Alps. It's a trip that can be done in a day or over a couple of days. Also in Switzerland, Valle Verzasca is worth a visit. You can visit the Verzasca Dam which features in Goldeneye. The setting is idyllic. You can also use the property as a base to visit Lake Como or Lake Orta. Orta San Giulio is definitely one of the prettiest villages on any of the Italian Lakes. Or you can catch a train into Milan and go shopping. It's a short metro train ride to Santa Maria delle Grazie and Da Vinci's painting of 'The Last Supper.' If you're more of a sports fan, you can take a tour of San Siro stadium. For cheaper shopping, Luino boasts the biggest weekly market in Europe. Or you could have a look at Foxtown, an outlet centre where the most famous brands offer their products at factory prices. The nearby Mottarone is ideal for hiking. The scenery and nature is fabulous. Most of the nearby mountains also have tracks for mountain bikes. You can also enjoy plenty of other sports there including skiing in the winter, hand-gliding and parascending. The area offers plenty to do for children - Swissminiatur, the Alprose Swiss chocolate factory & the European Museum of Transport. The Mottarone is also a great place for children with an alpine bob sleigh! There is also a superb adventure park for children in Baveno. Or you could try your hand at falconry or visit a safari park! There is a huge water park near Milan. Water sports such as sailing, surfing & water skiing are provided at Club Nautico in Stresa. Outside: The property has private off street parking to the rear of the villa. The parking area is several feet above the lake level. A door from the parking area leads to the first floor of the property where most of the living space is arranged. There is a large private garden to the front of the villa. This is a large lawned area, stretching down to the lakeside. It is ideal for those who enjoy sunbathing but is also large enough for children to play. Sun loungers are provided. The property also has a large terrace measuring approximately 20 square metres which leads off the living and dining area. This terrace is equipped with both a dining table and chairs as well as more relaxed seating around a central coffee table. Utility Room: There is a laundry room with washing machine on the lower level of the property. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is thoroughly cleaned ahead of your arrival. Additional cleaning can be provided during your stay if required. This is charged at an hourly rate. Please ask for more details.
