Mallorca, Porreras - Peaceful EcoFriendly Statehouse

An eco-friendly house in the middle of forests and farmland in the middle of Mallorca which will make you feel peaceful amidst the madness of the summer time. And yes, there is a pool and own well and electricity.

Wi-Fi Internet access, fresh eggs from our own hens, so many walks and hikes around the countryside, lots of roads for cycling, International satellite-TV channels, 20-30 minutes drive from the best beaches of the Island, e.g. Es Trenc) and farmer's markets in Porreres town.

I always welcome guests personally for any explanations related to the house and visits. And I will be available for any inconvenience that occurs.

Several sheep and one distant neighbor is all you may encounter!

Public transport is available in Porreres town, but it is advisable to rent a car to be able to visit the nearby attractions and beaches.

Every appliance in the house is of the highest energy efficiency and the house is built in the traditional Mallorca way to be cool in the summer and warm in winter.

This house is absolutely perfect

We are a family group of 7 adults, 3 children ages 6 - 10 years and a toddler of just under 2 years, and have just returned from a fabulous two weeks in this perfect house.

On arrival, we were immediately stunned by the beauty of the property. The photographs on the web-site just do not do it justice. Pilar and her family were waiting to greet us with the warmest of welcomes possible. As they showed us around the house, demonstrating all of the features, our family's sense of excitement grew with exclamations of "Wow" "Wow!"

The house is traditionally built in the Majorcan style, to remain cool in summer and benefits from high quality ceiling fans in every main room. The efficiency was fantastic in even the hottest of nights.

It is clearly obvious that great care and expense has been lavished upon the house, in order to retain all of the authentic Majorcan features whilst adding those comforts and expectations of the modern world.

Coupled with huge timbers and stonework, the house just oozes a feeling of grandeur.

The layout of the bedrooms was perfect for our group. There are a double and a twin room, downstairs, sharing a full bathroom and a vine covered terrace.

Up the grand stone staircase there are two twin bedded rooms with magnificent views, sharing a full bathroom. Next door is a fabulous master double bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom/shower room which is simply stunning. The master bedroom leads out on to a huge roof terrace overlooking the pool area and with views over the fishpond and surrounding countryside.

The swimming pool, where the younger members of the family spent most of their two weeks, uses no conventional chemicals but is kept clean by the use of natural salts. Excellent for everyone's skin condition.

The whole place is very secure and private within its own large, well maintained grounds, being situated some distance from the main road, yet only 4 or 5 minutes drive from the shops, bars and restaurants in the centre of Porreres. We were all very impressed with the quality of the restaurants in Porreres. How many restaurants are there in the UK that can accommodate 11 people at a moments notice and then serve a splendid, top class, 3 course meal for 11 euros per head, including wine, water, bread and olives.

The greatest compliment that we can make is to say that,the first thing we did when we returned home to the UK was to contact Pilar and book the house for a further two weeks in August 2016.
