Super cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable week at Badgerford Cottage and found it to be very clean and comfortable, and set in such beautiful surroundings. Especially loved feeding the numerous birds and seeing the Highland cattle across the road. Would definitely recommend this cottage if you are looking for peace and quiet.

Lovely quiet cottage...ideal place to relax and get away from it all

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cottage. It had everything you would need. The only thing I would change would be the bathroom...it is very compact. You get used to it though.

Loved the birds in the garden and the little field mice visiting the bird feeder. Plenty of places to visit nearby. Kitchen well stocked with pans and trays etc....even had big mugs which is a plus for me. WiFi was great. My hubby's only stipulation was WiFi and it did not disappoint. We hope to be back when the weather is nicer. Rained all week. Loved the log fire too...warmed the place up a treat.

Good location, easy to find, just right for a couple, in a lovley area.

  • 4 of 5

Compact and attractive, clean and inviting. A summer visit may have allowed is more time in the small but secluded garden. The property was warm and well lit, and easy to manage. The small bathroom was a bit of a challenge, but it didn't bother us.

Delightful area, and people are very friendly. Good value for money to eat out, and plenty of choice. We did the over-night ferry to the Isle of Man to look up some family "roots".

All in all, we had a really good week's break, and would return.

Many thanks. David and Margaret Cannell.

Lovely, well equipped property.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 4 nights at this lovely cottage & it couldn’t have been better! The kitchen is well equipped, bed is comfy, cottage & surroundings are beautiful & the log burner was the icing on the cake. The cottage was spotlessly clean also.

We wanted a peaceful, romantic break & the cottage was perfect for that, we will definitely return.

Only minor gripe is the bathroom is very small. I’m 5’11’’ tall and had to sit on the toilet sideways (sorry!) because the space between the front of the toilet & the wall was too small. This didn’t in any way spoil the holiday or our enjoyment of the cottage but just worth a mention. The shower & hot water in the cottage were very good, plus the wet room was excellent.
