A lovely quaint cottage

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights in Weaver's Cottage. It was clean, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. The setting was lovely with the cottages leading up to the church. The area was very good with a small Motor Museum nearby. Rye and Tenterden were not far, and we also made a visit to Chartwell about an hour away. We hope to be able to return some time in the future.

We would love to know the age of the cottage.

Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing my cottage to have a break.Very pleased you liked what it had to offer you. The house dates back to the late Georgian era circa 17 centaury for your interest. The whole row of cottages was consigned to a Weaver's cloth making business, hence the high ceiling downstairs, and steep staircase .The property is listed and needed to be protected. It realy was a hive of industry once. So pleased you may consider coming again too!

A lovely cosy cottage

  • 4 of 5

A charming tiny cottage with all you need after a day out and about in the surrounding countryside. The stairs are step, the bed is short but mere observations rather than complaints.

Our Expectations Exceeded

  • 5 of 5

My wife and i both agreed that Weavers Cottage was the nicest cottage we have stayed in to date. The interior has been designed with a great deal of artistic flair and is absolutely charming (as is the garden). The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. Everything we needed was available, and it is very quiet and peaceful as it is set off the road.

The staircase is very steep and narrow and might pose a problem for someone with limited mobility.

Thanks to Alison for all the effort and thought that has gone into making coming 'home' after long days out so pleasant and welcoming

Delightful cottage, super stay

  • 5 of 5

Weavers cottage is a delightful base to explore the wonderful sights of Kent and neighbouring Sussex. The cottage itself has been lovingly and artistically furnished, and has everything that you can possibly need to make your stay comfortable. It is situated near the Church which holds a farmers market on Thursday mornings. Tenterden is nearby and has good shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay and would certainly return there again. Special highlights include sitting in the cottage garden, fairy lights twinkling and seeing shooting stars. Visiting nearby Sissinghurst, Bodium Castle and Great Dixter. The owner is super and nothing is too much trouble. Jane and Peter
