Apartment in York, Yorkshire, England - High Quality two bed roomed and two bathroomed flat with private parking

Well located close to local shops, within a 3 minute walk of a Sainsbury's Local, Aldi and Iceland, a newsagent and a Lloyds pharmacy. The flat is a 15 or 20 minute walk into York city centre and close to main bus routes into the centre. It has free wifi internet connection with towels and linen included. We also provide a flat screen TV and DVD player. The apartment is on the second floor with a lift for easy access.

Why Lisa and Pete Sumners chose North Yorkshire

The property was chosen as its close to the city centre ( a 15/20 minute walk ) and also on a direct bus route. So you can get in and out of town quickly. It is close to all the local shops and has all you need for a nice short stay, and, its also close to some nice local restaurants. The local area is known as Fulford, it a nice and peaceful residential area between the University and Race course. You are a short bus ride away from the Designer Outlet shopping park which is on the outskirts of town.

What makes this apartment unique

Unlike a number of city centre flats, ours is much larger and comes with two bathrooms. Parking is easy with an allocated space. At night it is very quiet unlike some of the city centre apartments.

The apartment is very clean, spacious, very well equipped, walking distance into town. Perfect!

We had a fabulous time in York. Lovely apartment. It is clean, spacious, well equipped, walking distance to the University and into town about 20-30 minutes, either along the river or along the main road. It's near to shops etc. It is quiet, beds are comfortable and the owners are very accommodating. The welcome pack was absolutely ideal! Thank you. I would highly recommend the apartment and hope to revisit.

Great home away from home

This property was immaculate and one of the nicer properties I've had the pleasure to rent.

The property had everything I needed to make it a weekend to remember.

Fabulous, spacious apartment, spotlessly clean and in an excellent location.

Wonderful stay at this excellent apartment. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and the sofa bed was an added bonus. The standards of furnishing are high and the property is very comfortable and warm. Having a car parking space was very useful although we enjoyed walking to most places. Having a Sainsbury's store around the corner was ideal for food shopping and they stock all the basic groceries you may require. We enjoyed an excellent meal at The Plough Inn in Fulford and we would highly recommend it.

York itself is a beautiful city with so many things to see and do. We particularly enjoyed walking the city walls, The Minster, The Treasurers House (National Trust), the National Train Museum, The Shambles and the Christmas Market. The highlight however was a visit to Castle Howard where the Christmas decorations have to be seen to be believed.

This was a pre- Christmas break for our family and being able to stay at this lovely apartment made it a special holiday.

Really good accommodation close to York's centre

Well equipped apartment in a great location

We had chosen this apartment for a week-end in York as we knew this location from a previous visit. The booking and arrival arrangements went smoothly and the apartment and facilities were spotless. The apartment has an en-suite bedroom and a main bathroom which gave two couples the luxury of privacy. The kitchen/lounge area is very comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The walk into York city centre is very picturesque along the riverside path to Clifford's Tower area and takes 20 mins. We enjoyed the beer garden at the local Light horseman pub and dined at Rustique at Lendal which was great. We had a brilliant weekend and can recommend the apartment and the wonderful city of York.

A super place

A delightful, quiet, clean and light, bright and spacious apartment, with all the amenities you'll need, in an ideal location. Turn left out of the front of the apartments and walk down to the Millennium Bridge, or along the dappled shade of the Ouse pathway into town. Turn right and into Fulford Road and shops (Sainsburys Local, Lloyds Pharmacy, Iceland and Aldi) and a very good coffee shop (Croque Monsieur), are all close by.

Pete and Lisa are attentive, helpful and the tea, coffee, milk and a cake are a lovely welcome.

Highly recommended.

Notes on accommodation: Once the flat is booked we will you send a Welcome Booklet that describes the local area and suggests places to visit based on our local knowledge. We can supply a travel cot if required. Sorry but no hen or stag parties, we respect the peace of our neighbours. There is only one allocated car park space in the off-road court yard next to the flat. It is a monitored car park and if the pass ( which we supply ) is not displayed you will get a £100 fine for which you will be responsible. There is the possibility of additional off-street parking close to the flat but this cannot be guaranteed - just ask and we will guide you with the options. Outside: The property enjoys private , enclosed gardens. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are supplied on arrival. Other: There is a dining table that sits six along with a high chair. The flat has secure access and a lift. There is off street parking in an allocated space. Wifi is fitted with access codes supplied on arrival. A hair dryer and iron are also supplied.
