São Rafael is a prestigious complex of low rise apartments and villas set in mature gardens occupying one of the most sought after locations in the Algarve. Our apartment is only a short stroll from São Rafael beach and one minute walk from the main pool and adjacent children's pool. It faces south giving plenty of sunshine and breathtaking ocean views from both the master bedroom and the open plan living area with a terrace. This is our first rental property and shortly after purchasing it we renovated it paying special attention to details that we consider important when we take our holidays: We believe holiday homes should be clean, comfortable, cozy, and environment friendly. On the top floor of this 2 floor apartment you will find two bedrooms and one bathroom. The bedrooms are decorated with traditional Algarvian wooden ceilings, hand painted mosaics and have their own built-in closets. The beds are fitted with high fiber count Egyptian cotton linen and a choice of either natural goose down or hypo-allergenic hollow fiber pillows. The bathroom is equipped with a walk in rain shower and high fiber count Turkish cotton towels. The stairs down to the living area are protected with optional child proof gates. Downstairs on the main floor you will find the open concept living area with the kitchen, the dining/living room and a terrace. The kitchen boasts modern high efficiency appliances and all the amenities you need to prepare and serve up your culinary creations. The living and dining area boast a phenomenal ocean view, a fire place, is fitted with modern audio-visual equipment. On the terrace you will find a place to relax with an unprecedented view and an open fire grill to enjoy some open air cooking. Keeping the environment in mind, the apartment has been fitted with high efficiency appliances, efficient lighting, water efficient plumbing, double glazed wooden windows, and a solar powered hot water heating system. High Speed Internet available both by Wi-Fi and cable.

I moved to Portugal back in 2008 just before marrying my husband with whom I have two beautiful children with; a boy and a girl. We often come to this part of the Algarve for holidays and decided to buy an apartment here as an investment and also to enjoy ourselves.

My husband first brought me to this area of the Algarve on my first trip to Portugal. He spent a lot of holiday time here when he was younger and has very fond memories. Since then, I have also fallen in love with the location because it is beautiful, quiet, and very close to the beach.

But, if you feel like going out for a good time, then Albufeira is just 10 minutes away by car.

Simply the best.

Diese Wohnung wurde unser Zuhause in dem Moment, in dem wir die Tür öffneten. Man bekommt noch mehr, als auf den Bildern zu sehen ist.

Die Wohnung hat eine ausgewogene Mischung aus modernen und traditionellen, rustikalen Elementen. So fühlt man sich von einer netten Atmosphäre umarmt:

Eine gut durchdachte Architektur mit zwei Wohnebenen, schöne Details und hohe Standards, mit schönen Bodenfliesen und Farben, die Decken der Schlafzimmer, die Küchenausstattung, zwei Kamine, das Duschbad, die Elektrogeräte inklusive einer "unsichtbaren" Waschmaschine unter der Treppe, und sogar die Moskitonetze an Türen und Fenstern. Alles passt wunderbar zusammen. Es bleibt nicht viel übrig, was wir ändern würden, wenn es unsere eigene wäre.

Wir haben zum Essen immer auf dem Balkon gesessen, sogar zu viert. Der Blick auf das Meer ist einfach klasse, vom Balkon des Wohnzimmers und sogar vom Haupt-Schlafzimmer.

Wenn Sie nach einem schönen und ruhigen Ort zum Übernachten suchen, nicht überfüllt oder laut, nicht zu weit entfernt von dem touristischen Hot Spot Albufeira oder Faro (mit einem Mietwagen), in der Mitte der Algarve gelegen, mit einem Strand in der Nähe und einem Parkplatz vor der Tür, dann haben Sie ihn hier gefunden.

Alle schwärmen immer noch von der schönen Wohnung. Das war sehr schön. Danke!

A fabulous apartment with the peace of Sao Rafael and the excitement of Albufeira!

Our home away from home !

Perfectly located for us...we drove from one end of the Algarve to the other....more than once in our 4 week stay.

We lacked for nothing and Marco jumped in immediately if we needed something,

A Magical Place

We chose this apartment for many reasons, upscale location, ocean view, close proximity to a beautiful beach and the apartment itself with its true Portuguese style interior. This apartment exceeded our expectations and was clean and comfortable for three adults and two children. The location is quiet and relaxing and just a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, Praia de São Rafael. If you wish to visit the Old Town of Albufeira you will need transportation but we were fortunate enough to have a rental car. The apartment is fully equipped with laundry and everything you need to cook in the kitchen... except the food of course. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely recommend it as well as stay here again. My only wish was that we could have spent more time there!
