Superb location in small private cul de sac, with beautiful large garden, shops/pub/restaurants in walking distance

A light and spacious detached seaside home of great character, with wonderful sea views from nearly every room! Surrounded by a large secluded garden with a sunny terrace overlooking the garden and beach, this recently extended and updated home is the perfect Cornish gem. There is plenty of off-street parking on the private driveway (2 cars) and in the new parking bay at the top of the drive (a further 2 cars).

The house is very quietly situated in a cul de sac of just 8 privately owned properties, off a private road.

Major improvements recently completed: brand new high ceiling entrance hall, beautiful new staircase in light and airy corridor, amazing sea views from all bedrooms and new ensuite shower room. Plus heated outdoor shower and wet suit drying rack.

New for 2017: upright piano with music to suit all abilities

All the roads around Blue Seas have now been resurfaced - no more potholes.

Blue Seas was purchased by 2 families in July 2014 who have been coming on holiday to Mawgan Porth for many years. Between us we have 5 children and 2 dogs and love all the activities that are available nearby.

Why Mrs Catherine Tarnopolski chose Newquay & St Austell area

We love the peaceful cul de sac location and the delightful walk to the beach from the gate at the end of the garden. We also love to use the restaurants and spa facilities at the 2 nearby hotels and our caretaker is a wonderful chef who can prepare meals for you as required. This summer he did the most amazing seafood BBQ for us - with freshly caught local lobster.

Both families who own the property live 200 miles away so being able fly from Gatwick to Newquay is a great advantage. If you book early it only costs £50/head.

One of the best things about staying at Blue Seas (apart from the view) is the peace and quiet, interrupted only by the sound of the roaring sea, the trickling stream going through the garden and the sound of birds singing!

What makes this house unique

A very special house in an unsurpassed location. Surrounded by glorious gardens on all sides, with its own stream and pond, tucked away in a small private cul de sac. Just 5 mins walk along the stream to the glorious sandy expanse of Mawgan Porth beach and 10 mins walk to local shops and restaurants in the village. But don't taken our word for it - read our guests' reviews to see what previous guests thought. We have many repeat visitors, booking year after year. Record so far: 4 visits!

We completed major improvements to our lovely beach house in May 2016:

* an extension to the front for a light, airy entrance hall with loo and utility room (washing machine & tumble dryer)

* beautiful bespoke oak and glass staircase set in spacious new corridor

* 2 ensuites upstairs

* new sea view windows to all upstairs bedrooms

* heated outdoor shower

* new wooden flooring upstairs

A great place to relax and chill. The views were amazing and even at the end of October it was warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the views. The place was immaculate, spacious and in a great location. Definitely would like to return next year! Carly (28/10-1/11/16)

Totally Awesome!

This was our 3rd Christmas stay in Cornwall and Blue Seas exceeded all expectations. The house was perfect for our two families with stunning views of the sea and the kitchen well equipped to make a perfect Christmas dinner! The property itself is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Catherine was just lovely to deal when making the booking and James (who looks after property maintenance) arrived promptly when we had a problem with the TV. The beautiful Christmas tree & hamper was the icing on the cake! We look forward to returning to this beautiful property.

A not so little 'Gem'

We were a party of six with dogs, the accommodation is set overlooking the bay surrounded by beautiful gardens where many different types of flora can be admired. The garden is not enclosed so If you have small children or dogs you would need to be mindful.

The house is furnished to an excellent standard and provides facilities that would meet the needs of a large family or group.

Two of our party had restricted mobility so the ground floor bedrooms were a bonus.

The property layout can be flexible as areas can be opened up or closed off to suit a range of activities.

We would all defiantly stay here again.

Better than we thought

Blue Seas surpassed our expectations and the photos just don't do it justice! A beautiful beach on the doorstep, fantastic views and superb accomadation space - well equiped and designed - having two sitting rooms down stairs was a blessing!!! Can't recommend highly enough.

Fabulous Getaway

Lovely place to stay. House has loads of space, inside and out. The house is spotlessly clean and the owners have provided everything possible to make your stay comfortable - even down to dog beds for holidaying pooches. There were fresh flowers, wine, scented candles, tea and coffee, games, DVDs, books...the list of home comforts goes on. Short stroll to the beach, 10 minutes to Padstow. A fabulous place for a relaxing holiday.
