Exceeded expectations!

This is a lovely place to stay in the heart of St Ives - within walking distance of many sandy beaches, the town and the station (altough, at the top of a steep hill, it's not for the unfit!)The propery is clean, well-maintained and very spacious. It is also very well equipped.

The property has 3 double bedrooms, 2 of which have ensuites, a further family bathroom, a bunk bedroom and a loft room with 3 single beds. There's sea views from all the bedrooms too. The small outside courtyard is a suntrap - perfect for mid-morning coffee! The only downside (as with many properties in St Ives) is there is no parking. If you are lucky you may be able to grab a space on the road outside but these spaces rarely become available and we used the long-term parking at the rugby club 10 mins walk up hill out of town (which cost £5 a day).

I would definately recommend this property to friends.

Would also recommend The Beach House Restuarent on the harbour-side - their fish chowder was the best!

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Painting holidays can be booked through the famous St Ives Art School, and there are a multitude of water based activities available in St Ives, especially surfing.

St Ives is a town for all seasons, and is wonderful walking country


You can see the beach from the house. St Ives has five great beaches, Porthmeor, Porthminster, Porthgwidden, Bamaluz and Harbour are all within a few minutes walk, and Carbis Bay is just a mile away.


Newquay airport is an hour away. There is a train station in the centre of St Ives. Once in St Ives you do not need to use your car as everything is within walking distance there is also a bus station with buses to nearby towns and resorts.

Review 1 : I booked to stay in 'Blue' for 3 nights in November with a group of friends for a holiday and had a brilliant experience. The hosts were extremely flexible on arrival time, and have a great system for arrival, getting keys etc. When I got there the house was clean, warm and welcoming - with full cupboards of food and supplies in case you get there really late, even a bottle of wine, all on condition that it is replaced on leaving.

In the house there were ample bedrooms with loads of different sleeping arrangements so everyone was very happy! Two of the rooms have nice en-suites, and a large bathroom, particularly enjoyed the top bedroom which feels a bit more secluded than the rest and offers some great views.

Kitchen - very easy to use and cook in, dishwasher was a help and ended up eating in and cooking for all the guests every night, it's a good space to be social in.

Living area - super cosy and comfortable, great space to relax in, even a box of Cornish Monopoly in there. I don't surf but saw there were a few boards outside too!

Everyone really really enjoyed our stay and excellent value for money. Big thanks to the hosts for being so co-operative and helpful.
