2 Luxury Lodges In Rural Vines Cross Nr. Heathfield East Sussex England - Bramble Lodge

Overview

Property

Updated: 29-Nov-2016
2 bedrooms with en suite shower rooms. Countryside views.

Vines Cross Farm is located on the edge of the rural hamlet of Vines Cross, which is in the heart of the East Sussex countryside and lies within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The market town of Heathfield is 2.5 miles away.

Our two holiday Lodges enjoy a peaceful setting and provide tastefully furnished, luxury accommodation with wood burning stove, super-king double beds (or twins if you prefer), en suite shower rooms with walk in shower, 32” HDTV with freeview, free WiFi and outside a private decked area with views of the meadow and surrounding countryside. We carry out our own cleaning and maintenance and pride ourselves on our very high standards.

Vines Cross Farm is an ideal base for a peaceful, rural holiday with footpaths from the door, including a great Geocaching route, the Cuckoo Trail (old railway line) just a mile away for cycling or walking and many National Trust properties locally.

If, on the other hand, you like a spot of serious shopping then you are only 18 miles from the spa town of Tunbridge Wells.

The beaches at Eastbourne or Pevensey Bay are 15 miles away and London can be reached from Stonegate Station (8 miles). There really is something for everyone!

About the Owner

We moved to Vines Cross Farm, a former plant nursery, in 2012. Since then we have set about developing it into a smallholding with chickens, sheep and pigs. We have also just been joined by a small herd six alpacas including two babies.

Guestbook comments from the owner

From the moment I booked, I received great communication from Yvonne & Anthony. when we arrived, they were both there to greet us. The accommodation was simply perfect, immaculately clean, great layout with a bedroom with en suite on either side of the living room.

All the little touches were much appreciated, fresh eggs and milk in the fridge, flowers on the table, absolutely everything had been thought of that you may need during your stay.

I could not recommend this highly enough, for a great relaxing, home from home get away.

Great location and facilities

Lovely clean lodge with all the equipment needed for a self catering break, spacious and comfortable with views over the adjacent countryside. Great location for the surrounding attractions and plenty of good pubs in the area for food.

Superb Holiday Lodge

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted with our choice of holiday venue. There was every comfort in Bramble Lodge, en-suite bedrooms particularly good. The beds/pillows made for lovely restful sleep ! The purpose for our holiday was for me to re-visit my old home in Sittingbourne, Kent and the church where my husband and I were married 62 years ago last May. We also went to Eastbourne, to the Haddon Hall Hotel, where we met, then along the pier to the ballroom where we danced every evening as we fell in love. As my husband died last May, this was a bitter/sweet time for me, but helped me to cope with his loss. We enjoyed Beachy Head and Birling Gap. Also visited old friends in Worthing. The weather was so lovely and the autumn colours in the sunshine just wonderful. When you asked about our stay, I bet you were'nt expecting to hear all this, but - you did ask !! will certainly be recommending Vines Cross Farm to friends and family.

Wonderful stay in Bramble Lodge

  • 5 of 5

This truly is a wonderful Lodge and had the WOW factor as soon as we entered it. It was immaculately clean and all the fixtures, fittings and furnishings were all of a very high standard making it a genuine luxury lodge. The lodge is centrally heated so was warm and cosy even though it was October when we stayed. Also, although dogs are allowed into Bramble Lodge, there was absolutely no evidence that any had ever been in there. The patio outside the lounge/dining room is a sun trap and the Alpacas that grazed in the adjoining paddock enhanced the already beautiful countryside. It is a stunning lodge with everything we wanted to make our holiday perfect. Thank you Yvonne and Anthony

Lovely place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We were warmly welcomed to a modern, spacious lodge which was well-equipped with all we needed for our holiday. It's a peaceful location (but easy enough to find) and ideally placed for exploring the attractions of Sussex and Kent by car. Highly recommended.

Weekend break

  • 5 of 5

Can't fault anything about this place, it's by far the best holiday lodge I've stayed at. It was spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly need is there. The owners are exceptionally friendly and make you welcome.

The lodge was beautifullly furnished and the layout was perfect for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Yvonne and Anthony made us welcome and were there if we needed help or directions to places of interest nearby. The accommodation was more than we expected and everything you needed was to hand. The highlight of our stay were the Llamas and piglets. We were able to watch these from our patio area and our westie dog was intrigued by them. We would certainly recommend this holiday to our friends/family.
