Overview

About the property

Cottage in St. Teath, Nr. Camelford, Cornwall, Friendly village setting

Tynedale, sleeps seven people in four bedrooms and is centrally located in the friendly North Cornwall village of St Teath. It is the perfect base for an outdoor or family holiday. Ten minutes from the glorious North Cornwall coast for walking and the sea. It is close to the charming seaside towns of Port Isaac (of Doc Martin fame), Rock, the foodies’ delight of Padstow, Polzeathand Widemouth Bay for surfing, the wild scenery of Arthurian Tintagel, the South West Coast Path, Poldark country, Rosamund Pilcher trail and many other picturesque and historic sites.

The area abounds with good restaurants and friendly pubs, it is within easy reach of the Eden Project (45 minutes) and many of the other attractions, both natural and man-made that Cornwall has to offer. The bustling small town of Wadebridge is twenty minutes away, with its three supermarkets and interesting speciality shops.

The cottage has two cosy living rooms, each with television and log burner. The four comfortable bedrooms and spacious and well-equipped kitchen/ diner also render it ideal for just chilling out. Free wi-fi is provided along with a good selection of games and a Wii. The secluded patio with barbecue and garden furniture offers a relaxing space for outdoor eating and entertaining, and the property also features a charming low-maintenance front garden.

St.Teath welcomes its visitors with a shop/post office/off licence (“open all hours”), butcher selling locally produced meat, a 14th century church and a dog- and child-friendly pub serving excellent and good value meals, all within 200 yards of your front door. The area is a pooch’s paradise and we welcome up to two well behaved dogs.

About Mrs Liz Miskin

I am a young at heart grandmother, retired translator, grew up in Kent, extensively travelled and lived many years in Kenya, where my children were born. I live in the village 300 yards from the property, am involved in village affairs and eager to share the delights of the area with new friends. I have a large and somewhat unruly German Shepherd and welcome visitors' dogs.

Mrs Liz Miskin purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Mrs Liz Miskin chose Lanivet

Tynedale has a "homey" feeling. It is comfortable and well-furnished and equipped but child- and dog-friendly. The log burners give it a cosy atmosphere. It is well-placed for activities and attractions but not overrun with other visitors.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world.

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was ideal for our holiday. Plenty of charm and room for our family. Liz was very welcoming and helpful. Ideally located for getting to all the sights. We particularly loved Trebarwith Strand, Padstow, Watergate Bay, Port Issac and Eden Project. Thank you

Lovely Cornwall in comfortable cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and perfectly suited for a family holiday with dogs. Liz is very welcoming but leaves you alone to do your own thing. St Teath is perfectly located for reaching places such as Padstow, Rock, the Eden Project, Camel Trail and Tintagel. Would definitely book again - thank you Liz!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Liz greeted us with tea and cake which was much appreciated.

The Cottage was in a perfect location. St Teath is a lovely village . Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed a meal in the local pub. We also took a walk to the beautiful 14th century church. The Cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We visited many places during our stay, Port Isaac, Watergate Bay and Newquay to name a few. We had a very enjoyable holiday.

A warm welcome awaits you!

  • 4 of 5

Thank you Liz for your warm welcome and Cornish cream tea on arrival. The cottage fulfilled our expectations and really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for four individuals and would like to thank the village of St Teath for their warm welcome, especially at the pub on their service and food. Highly recommend a stay here!

A friendly place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This was an ideal place for me to stay for a month. The cottage was large enough for family and friends to join me but cosy so I didn't rattle around by myself. The owner was very helpful and the village the friendliest I have ever been to. An ideal location for visiting northern Cornwall.
