Cottage in St. Teath, Nr. Camelford, Cornwall, Friendly village setting

Tynedale, sleeps seven people in four bedrooms and is centrally located in the friendly North Cornwall village of St Teath. It is the perfect base for an outdoor or family holiday. Ten minutes from the glorious North Cornwall coast for walking and the sea. It is close to the charming seaside towns of Port Isaac (of Doc Martin fame), Rock, the foodies’ delight of Padstow, Polzeathand Widemouth Bay for surfing, the wild scenery of Arthurian Tintagel, the South West Coast Path, Poldark country, Rosamund Pilcher trail and many other picturesque and historic sites.

The area abounds with good restaurants and friendly pubs, it is within easy reach of the Eden Project (45 minutes) and many of the other attractions, both natural and man-made that Cornwall has to offer. The bustling small town of Wadebridge is twenty minutes away, with its three supermarkets and interesting speciality shops.

The cottage has two cosy living rooms, each with television and log burner. The four comfortable bedrooms and spacious and well-equipped kitchen/ diner also render it ideal for just chilling out. Free wi-fi is provided along with a good selection of games and a Wii. The secluded patio with barbecue and garden furniture offers a relaxing space for outdoor eating and entertaining, and the property also features a charming low-maintenance front garden.

St.Teath welcomes its visitors with a shop/post office/off licence (“open all hours”), butcher selling locally produced meat, a 14th century church and a dog- and child-friendly pub serving excellent and good value meals, all within 200 yards of your front door. The area is a pooch’s paradise and we welcome up to two well behaved dogs.

About Mrs Liz Miskin

I am a young at heart grandmother, retired translator, grew up in Kent, extensively travelled and lived many years in Kenya, where my children were born. I live in the village 300 yards from the property, am involved in village affairs and eager to share the delights of the area with new friends. I have a large and somewhat unruly German Shepherd and welcome visitors' dogs.

Tynedale has a "homey" feeling. It is comfortable and well-furnished and equipped but child- and dog-friendly. The log burners give it a cosy atmosphere. It is well-placed for activities and attractions but not overrun with other visitors.

A friendly place to stay

This was an ideal place for me to stay for a month. The cottage was large enough for family and friends to join me but cosy so I didn't rattle around by myself. The owner was very helpful and the village the friendliest I have ever been to. An ideal location for visiting northern Cornwall.

Half term at Tynedale Cottage

We were welcomed with tea and chocolate cake by Liz which was lovely after such a long journey. The house is lovely and perfect for a family like ours. (Myself , partner daughter, husband and 2 children and of course 2 dogs). My partner and I are regular visitors to the village so it was great to be able to stay somewhere we could share "St Teath" with my family. The house was very well equipped, and the beds comfortable - the rooms were all more than adequately furnished and, although the décor was a little tired this is to be expected when letting out to families with dogs. A perfect base for North Cornwall and its attractions. Would definitely stay again - loved it!.

Beautiful and spacious

Such a friendly warm welcome with mince pies and a Christmas tree! We were two families staying the winter and the cottage was very warm and cosy. So well equipped it have everything we needed. The log burners were amazing. The local pub and shop are 30 seconds away and were friendly. Our kids loved having their own living room!

Warm & comfortble

Just coming to the end of a wonderful 6 week holiday in this cottage. With 2 living rooms both with log burners it is warm and cozy and the large kitchen is very well equipt. Liz met us at the cottage and welcomed us with tea and home baked cake - delicious! St teath is well situated for lots of places to visit. We will be back again next year. Thanks Liz.

Beautifull well equiped

We had a marvelous holiday in this delightful well equiped cottage it was a real home from home. Liz met us and had the kettle on there were homemaker scones with jam and cream and a pot of homemade marmalade waiting for us. Fresh flowers and toiletries as well. The cottage is well situated for visiting Cornwall. The village has a lovely pub that serves food a cafe a local shop and a butchers. We loved the cottage Si much we didn't want to leave this morning. We will definitely be back
