Apartment in Edinburgh, Scotland - Perfect Location With Easy Access To Centre Of Town

This property is a short bus ride from the city centre. It is close to many places of interest, The Botanical Gardens, The Royal Yacht Britannia, Portobello Beach, The Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre and Cinema, the Water of Leith, to name but a few. The surrounding restaurants and bars are superb, having atmosphere and character, superb food, and are only a 5 minute stroll away. The shopping centre is well worth a visit, and when the bags get too heavy, head home and unload, ready to start again!

About the Owner

I live in the sleepy town of Kelso in the Borders, and work part-time in a local Doctors Surgery. At weekends I love to head up to the city and enjoy the buzz and faster pace of life. I have always loved the area of Leith, mainly for the restaurants and the stunning views, and was lucky enough to find this wonderful converted whisky warehouse 12 years ago. It has all the charm of an old building but a modern interior. I used to have a soft furnishings business so have made all the curtains etc and enjoyed making a few quirky bits and pieces too which can be found in various rooms throughout the apartment.

I love meeting my guests if work allows, and answering any questions they may have. It is very important to me that their stay is the best it possibly can be!

Beautiful spacious apartment in perfect location !

Stayed for the weekend in this fantastic, beautifully appointed apartment ! Location and facilities perfect - everything needed on doorstep ! Great transport links, plenty of wonderful eateries and spacious apartment with everything you could wish for at your fingertips. Diana was perfectly lovely - informative and has the best taste ! Can not recommend this property highly enough - you couldn't ask for a better place to stay - only downside - we didn't stay long enough ! Amazing property many thanks Diana - superb ! We will be back - for longer stay !

Spacious. Well situated. Clean and cheerful.

Diana was so accommodating. She waited outside while guiding us in by phone when we were turned around. The location, while not central, is very convenient to the city centre by bus. We didn't walk it although we saw a sign that said it was 2.5 miles. There were lots of restaurants (Mimi's for breakfast was terrific!) and a Marks&Spencers walking distance to pick up groceries. The apartment itself was very clean and bright. We really enjoyed our stay and would enthusiastically recommend this apartment!

Quirky, quaint conversion in a great location!

We had a lovely short stay in this quirky converted warehouse! Very friendly and efficient owner who helpfully provided useful information before our visit and put herself out to welcome us in person on arrival. The milk & biscuits "welcome pack" was appreciated too. The flat was clean and warm, and the furnishings very tasteful. We all loved the feather duvets - what a treat! The location, near the Ocean Terminal for shopping and cinema, and restaurants aplenty within easy walking distance, was super for our various needs. We wish we had had more time to sample more of them! Free parking on site and very regular bus services into the city and beyond, even on Sunday, was an impressive bonus. We certainly hope to return sometime! Thank you Di for a great mini-break in Edinburgh.

Travel:

Edinburgh airport is a 30 minute taxi ride away or the No. 34 bus comes all the way to Leith. Waverley Station is a ten minute taxi ride away, or hop on a bus down to Leith from Princess Street. They run every five minutes. If travelling by car, there is ample parking at the door on the cobbled tramlines in front of the building.

Further Details:

We have an Asda, a Tesco and a Lydls, and a Marks and Spensers Food Hall, all within 3/4 mile, so guests are spoilt for choice! There are many of the main shops in the Ocean Terminal such as Debenhams, British Home Stores, Gap, French Connection, Fat Face, to name but a few. Also a very good Whisky Shop if you like to enjoy!

Please email me for a price. This very much depends on the amount of people staying and the length of the stay so can be variable. A deposit would be taken on initial booking, and the remaining balance is due six weeks prior to arrival.

Changeover Day:
I usually try to accommodate my guests with departure and arrival times, but a rough guide is 10.30am and 2pm. Every booking is different though, depending on travel arrangements and I can store cases if you have a late flight where possible.

Prices very much depend on the amount of people staying and the length of stay.
This flat can sleep from 2 up to 8 people so it is always best to email Diana for a price for your individual party.
