We dont just want you to stay with us-we want you to come back--again and again.

The Villa

The Property is set in the Centre of its own 10,000 square meters of Land, so privacy is guaranteed.

All modern facilities are there, including free WIFI internet access, satellite TV, and plunge pool.

The 15000 litre plunge pool (15 tons of fresh well water) is totally secluded and is raised off the ground for safety reasons

Being only 12 years old the property is in immaculate condition inside and out.

The Property is fenced around the villa itself, and so is ideal for small children to wander around in complete safety and also for your pets.

You are not alone,-- unless you want to be.

Our villa is only 100 meters away--although due to the topography,there is no direct line of sight.

We can help you with all the local information you require and be at hand should you require assistance of any kind

The list is endless depending on the type of holiday you want, but I will name a few.

The local area

This is the "real Spain"--not a concrete jungle as you will find further afield along the coast.

The Majority of the surrounding land is used for the production of Grapes,Olives,Avocados and Mangos.

With the Villa being 450 metres above sea level, on the south facing side of a hill called el tinaou, on the outskirts of Los Romanes, above lake Vinuela, --the views to the Mediterranean sea and nearby towns of Velez- Malaga and Torre del Mar are incredible night or day.

(Both Velez malaga and Torre del mar are only 20 mins away by Car.)

Hopefully you are still reading this--if so, your next step would be to make an enquiry to us (we hope) this costs you nothing-and indeed on a lot of occasions we would not require a deposit!

A bit more information

Velez Malaga-- is the capital of the region of the Axarquia on the "sun and avacado route" which runs for 75 kms along the coast.

With a population of 77,000 inhabitants it is a vibrant Town and only 1 km from the coast. During the 800 year rule of the Moorish occupation, it was known as the fortress of Malaga-much of this still exists today.

Torre del Mar is basically between Velez Malaga and the Mediterranean--again a vibrant Town with a population of 22,000, one of its main industries is tourism, every activity you would expect is here!! -but without the crime sometimes associated with some of the bigger tourist cities to the w

For the summer months in 2016 we are Building a new 8000 litre Plunge Pool--that's 8 tons of fresh well water to splash around in.

In the Village of Los Romanes 5 mins away, are two shops to provide your everyday needs, two Restaurants -both of which we would recommend, and a couple of small spanish bars.

Further down on the banks of lake Vinuela are two further Restaurants, which again, we would recommend, and if you were to continue on further there is the village of puente don manuel with 2 English supermarkets, garages,banks,hairdressers,dentists,health centre, All 10 minutes from the Villa.

About the Owner

Having served in the Royal Marines for 12 Years, and during this time travelled all over the World, I decided on a new life in a warmer climate.

I ran a few successful small businesses in England but wanted to slow down-life was going too fast for me-and work was all my life.

Having found this area, life is a lot slower--we get things done, but at a much more relaxed pace.

During the first Years it was so frustrating not to get a delivery, for example, on time, now I expect it to be late.

Between the afternoon siestas (excuse for a sleep or a brandy in the local bar)--romerias, fiestas and every other excuse to slow down even more, it suprises me we get anything done--but we do.

The villa is in a beautiful position, very clean and well equipped, private but not isolated

This was our first visit to Spain and we could not have had such a great environment to experience the country. Paul & Gabrielle were fantastic hosts giving us tips and direction but from a professional distance. They helped us feel at home in the villa and completely free to ask for help if needed. They are fun to be around.

From the villa we managed to visit and enjoy Granada, Cordoba, Torr Del Mar and the wonderful countryside. The plunge pool gave a very welcome break from the heat. The odd visit from Marley and Perry were a delight. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at the villa and intend to spend more time in the coming years there.

We found having a car invaluable, a small one would be inadequate as the hill climbing is not for the faint hearted. That said, Paul is very helpful and will always come to your rescue. Booking this villa will never disappoint.

Well what an amazing holiday we had at your beautiful villa it had everything we needed and it was so cofy. The views are just stunningly breathtaking. The pool was an added bonus and it was so relaxing. Paul thank you for the warm welcome we have definitely got a new friend. We only came home yesterday and miss Los romanes it was so peaceful just what we where looking for. We miss it already and will be looking forward to returning

WOW What a VIlla, Location and holiday

This was probably the best holiday we have had in Spain and we come every year. The Villa is perfect for the two of us, the views are priceless and the location is perfect. Having the plunge pool is worth its wait in gold with temperatures pushing the high 40's. And to cap it all, Perry, the most adorable visitor anyone could ask for, we nearly smuggled him home (He's a small dog not one of the human family of Paul's) Summing up all in all a great holiday and we are coming back. Thanks to Paul and Joachim for the help when it was needed and allowing us to have peace and quiet when we needed that too. Top Notch

Another wonderful stay at 'our' villa!!

We have just spent another fantastic time at the villa ..... This was our 4th time and already booked again for this year and next. Added bonus was the plunge pool which was definitely needed on those very hot days. We spent most of the time reading and taking in the awesome view from the terrace! We had trips down to the beach at Torre Del Mar and frequented the local markets too.the local restaurant Venta El Charco still does the best steak in the world! Having a few months in England then we are back again in the Autumn. We would recommend the villa to anyone wanting a nice quiet getaway in the sun!

Great Villa,fabulous scenery,good location.

The Villa is outstanding immaculately clean and very well presented,with a huge comfy bed,plus stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Mediterranean Sea. We had a restful,relaxing holiday staying for 10 wonderful weeks. (3 months are booked for 2017).

There are many interesting and historic places to visit locally,and if you require some extra excitement,Paul and Gabrielle the owners provide Quadbike safaris,which our 2 grandsons sampled. They said it was the best day of their holiday.

The local restaurant El Charco,a few minutes drive away provides exceptional food, and excellent service.

Special thanks to Paul, Gabrielle and family who made us feel very welcome and gave us help and advice during our holiday.

Great scenery and fantastic value.

Spectacular views, incredibly peaceful, excellent facilities and a very comfortable bed all added up to a 5 star experience. Paul, Gabriella and family could not have been more helpful. Any issues, there were only a couple of minor problems, were dealt with quickly and efficiently. If you want a wonderfully relaxing holiday, yet near enough to local or international sites of outstanding beauty, to give the holiday real variety then Villa Varmin is a must. Great value for money.

The nearest restaurant, El Charco provides outstanding food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Location

I bought a House in the same area when I first Moved to Spain in 1996, My Wife and I thought we would have a Villa built for us as an investement and hopefully as an income stream. The Villa is nestled amongst the Olive Groves of Andalusia Southern Spain. With views of the Mediterranean Sea to the south and the Sierra Nevada Mountains north, these views at 450 mtrs above sea level are awe inspiring--forget the postcards you can buy on the Coast--you are actually here! If your wish is to experience life in the true Spain, and involve yourselves in the local culture including local fiestas and romerias you will be made most welcome. Just walking through the villages you will be greeted with an OLA!--(HELLO) from a total stranger-where they speaking to me? Yes they were! try it and see?

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 70 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : there are 3 bars in Los romanes at 1 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : use the A7 direct from/to malaga airport at 8 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Venta charco-the best place to eat for 20 kms at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Torre del mar, an excellent white sandy beach at 10 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

The white sandy beaches of Torre del Mar are only 20 minutes away, but if you were to to drive,-picnic in hand- you can find secluded coves off the beaten track-we know where they are!!

Travel:

Malaga Airport is 1 hour away by Car. We can pick you up if you wish, or meet you somewhere to direct you to the Property.

We would recommend the use of a Car, however the Property can be self contained- with enough supplies.

Distances:

Los Romanes is 5 Mins away--Velez Malaga 20 mins-Torre del Mar 20 mins.

Torre del mar is more Touristish- for want of a better word and has water Parks, Boat rides ect -all the normal facilities associated with a large Town aimed at the Tourist Market.

Velez Malage is more Historical.

Vinuela lake 10 mins away has a water sports centre, windsurfing. canoeing, sailing.

Further Details:

Benarmargosa is also 10 Minutes away , and has a Large Supermarket,2 Banks, and various Bars and Resaurants.

Puente don manuel is 15 Minutes away --again Banks, Restaurants ect.

The Best Restaurants--we would suggest are, Restaurant el charco, in the Village of Los Romanes, or The Pantano Restaurant on the Banks of Lake Vinuela 10 mins away by Car

The scenery is stunning, from the Mediterranean sea to the sierra mountains, lake Vinuela (the largest man made lake in andalucia)-the list is endless.

Quad bike riding,horse riding, canoeing, walking,go-kart racing,water parks.bird watching.jet skiing,sightseeing,

The beaches on the coast are only 20 mins away by car.

We will be happy to organise all the above activities for you.

We have our own Property 150 metres away further up the Hill, although we do not have a direct view of the rental property, so your privacy is secure. 5 minutes away is the Village of Los Romanes, a white washed Village undiscovered by most--with small " local" priced shops, and restaurants-why pay tourist prices? Also the community outside pool in the village is huge, and always kept in immaculate condition--open all summer You truly need to visit this special place--you will never forget it--and you will return again and again. Because we are nearby-we can offer you our support and knowledge of the entire area if you need it. We can organise trips of any kind for you, & point you in the right direction for anything you need

Fitted Wardrobes, bedside cabinets, and chests of drawers.The Sofa bed in the lounge is easily converted into a double bed--Swiss made --it is of high quality and again super comfy, because the Lounge is large this can be left in "bed mode"

  • Outside: The Garden is fully fenced so pets and Children are in a safe area, the BBQ is excellent for al fresco summer days and evenings in the moonlight looking over the lit up towns below you-- The patio Table and chairs seat 6 People. Utility Room: We don't have a utility room because the Bathroom is large enough to incorporate this. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The Laundry can be done either by the clients or dropped off to us 100 metres away. Towels and linen are included, and the property is cleaned top to toe between change overs. Daily cleaning services are available. Other: The Dining room is suitable for an 6 seater Table and Chairs. New for 2016..we will be providing quad bikes for the more adventurous. More details on application--great fun!! Organic and free range eggs are available from our smallholding only 150 metres away.
