About Clive and Angela Nixon

We live about 100 yards up the road on a sheep farm with our 16 year old Son. Bevan House is a delightful detached property with it's own hot tub, which is clean and ready to use all year. The house can sleep up to 7 guests in 3 bedrooms with a family bathroom upstairs and a second toilet downstairs.

We love Bevan House because it is a lovely warm house with stunning views across the Edw Valley. It is so peaceful and quiet although you are still able to walk to the local pub for an evening meal if you don't want to cook yourself.

Clive and Angela Nixon purchased this house in 2010

Why Clive and Angela Nixon chose Powys and Brecon Beacons

We love the area.

What makes this house unique

Close to Brecon Beacons, Hay-on-wye book town and Builth Wells home to the Royal Welsh Show ground.

Also a short drive to Elan Valley Dams and the Red Kite feeding Station at Rhayader.

There are lots of children's parks close by including Quackers indoor play barn, Cantref Play park and riding, Kington Small Breeds Park and Outdoor pursuits centre at Llangorse.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Loved the House, very clean and the Hot Tub was amazing.

Hot Tub was so clean and relaxing - perfect holiday.

The views from the windows are fantastic and the house is so peaceful and warm - we had a lovely few days away. Most relaxing.

Bevan house is the nicest house we have ever stayed in and the Hot Tub was out of this world. Red Kites even fly above us whilst we were relaxing.

Great Period Property

Love this property, a lot of genuine character still remains, yet where it matters it has been tastefully re-furbished, it was cosy , comfortable, bit dissapointed that the Ping-Pong was no longer available, but Hot Tub made up for it relaxing instead of burning off energy !! a lot of nice touches left for us by the lovely owner Angela which we thank her for, basically there was everything you needed and more for a relaxing stay including excellent service from the owners, we were very impressed and would recommend for a relaxing vacation .

Relaxing stay in a cosy house

  • 5 of 5
Verified Stay

My husband and I stayed with our 1 year old daughter for a long weekend away. It was perfect! Angela was very accommodating with our rather late arrival time and when we finally got there the house was lit up, warm and Angela was there to show us where everything was. She had even got in milk and bread for us, the cot was all set up and there was a box of toys for our daughter to play with. Everything you could need for a weekend get away is in the house, it was spotlessly clean and there were a few lovely thoughtful details too such as the log burner already having the fire wood stacked in it ready to light. Obviously the hot tub was amazing and finished the whole experience off. We would definitely recommend Bevan House to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, home-away-from-home get away.
