About the property

Luxury 125 square metre apartment in unbeatable location

Ciel Bleu Prefecture is a recently renovated 125 square metre 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It is arguably one of the best rental properties in Nice.

With an unbeatable location, it is situated on the edge of the Old Town just 50 metres from the Cours Saleya and 70 metres from the beach.

All the main tourist sites are within a short walk and there are countless restaurants and café’s on the doorstep as well as a small supermarket just 70 metres away.

The apartment has a vast living/dining room with two large stylish comfortable sofas, coffee table and a dining table with Eames chairs for 8 people as well as widescreen television with Apple TV and Netflix, high speed unlimited Wi-FI broadband and DVD player.

The fully equipped kitchen has a cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine and also a bar table and bar stools.

The bedrooms are all a very good size. There are two double bedrooms with King Size double beds (160cmx200cm) and a twin bedroom with 2 large single beds (90cmx190cm).

The main bathroom has a large bath, separate shower, travertine sink, heated towel rail and WC and the second has a walk in wet room style rain shower, travertine sink, heated towel rail and WC. Both bathrooms have limestone tiles throughout.

There is high quality double glazing throughout the apartment and to ensure guests have a peaceful nights sleep we have recently installed a second set of acoustic double glazed windows in all the bedrooms. This is the approach used by very high end hotels.

There is also reversible air-conditioning (heating and cooling) throughout the apartment with separately controlled units in each room.

The apartment is situated in an historic building and therefore there are numerous beautiful original features such as the original fireplace, ceiling cornicing, parquet flooring and 3.5 metre high ceilings.

The building is one of only 5 in the Old Town which does have a lift so the access is excellent.

Whilst we do not have parking in the building itself there are 3 large car parks within 150 metres.

We provide Egyptian cotton linen for all the beds, luxury towels and basic Occitane toiletries.

The apartment is a great choice for guests who are looking for something truly exceptional.

Why Mike chose Nice

The Ciel Bleu Old Town apartment is situated on Rue de La Prefecture which borders the south side of Nice Old Town.

The building is over 200 hundred years old and is one of the most impressive buildings in the area. It is also one of the very few buildings in the old town which has a lift !

Given the age of the building the apartment has numerous original features such as beautiful high ceilings, original fireplaces, huge windows and antique parquet flooring.

With this apartment we have tried to create one of the best apartments in the whole of Nice.

The living area faces directly south so the light is fantastic.

We have completely renovated the apartment. Replacing all plumbing and electrics as well as installing a new bespoke kitchen and high quality bathrooms.

What makes this apartment unique

The location of the property is absolutely fantastic.

It is just 2 minutes walk from the seafront and all the best that Nice has to offer is literally on the doorstep.

The famous market on Cours Saleya is just 50 metres away.

Look no further - this property has it all!

This apartment is in a perfect location in old Nice, close to all the shops, restaurants, Promenade Anglais and, of course, the beach!

The suite is beautifully and tastefully decorated, comfortable, and wonderful in every respect.

The apartment itself is as the pictures show - very clean, spacious, and in excellent condition. Everything in the apartment has been renovated, including the 2 large bathrooms, and kitchen appliances are brand new.

The apartment is on the first floor, so very easy access up the broad staircase, although there was an elevator which was handy to bring in the luggage when we first arrived.

Another bonus was AIR CONDITIONING in the living room and all 3 bedrooms, a real luxury in the summer heat! Lots of hot water for showers or a bath. A dishwasher and washing machine make life easy as well.

A bonus for this apartment was there is both a kitchen breakfast table, as well as a proper dining room that seats 8+ people, which not every apartment can offer even for a 3 bedroom.

Our hosts were friendly, reliable, very responsive, and everything handled in the most professional way in terms of booking, site greeting, and exit walk through.

This is where we will stay on our next visit from Canada to beautiful Nice!

This was a really good, clean and well maintained property with a very nice (looked new), well equipped kitchen and good quality utensils - nothing appeared to be lacking: oven, hob, microwave, washer, dishwasher etc etc.

The beds were really comfortable with good quality linen and soft towels. All 3 bedrooms plus the lounge had air conditioning which was a godsend after a day out on the beach.

Mike and Diana were very helpful and friendly and the whole experience (from booking to checking out) was very well organised - everything had been well thought out and not a stone unturned.

The apartment is located in a fantastic area in the old town with all amenities close by - just a short walk through the market to the seafront. The market converts to restaurants and cafes in the evening and are literally just a 100 yards from the apartment.

We thoroughly enjoyed Nice and will return in the near future, hopefully in another of Mike's apartments.

Amazing apartment and a perfect location!

This was absolutely perfect for our 6 night stay in Nice. We were a group of 7 women on a family vacation and found this perfect for our stay.

The location was incredible! A quick walk to the beach and super close to tons of restaurants and shops! It was very easy to get to the train station (about a 20-25 min walk) or to the tram line (5 min walk) which takes you to the train station.

The apartment itself was amazing! The bedrooms were great and had great air conditioning for when it was warm! The bathrooms were both really good and spacious as well. The common area with the couches and big table were great and comfortable. The TV was great especially for us being able to watch the Euro 2016 games! There was also netflix and Apple TV which was an added bonus! The kitchen was perfect too! A huge fridge and freezer, a dishwasher and a nice oven/stove and microwave. Lots of dishes and glasses and everything we needed to cook with!

We would definitely stay here again, Mike was great to communicate with before the trip so we were completely prepared for everything, and Diana was a great help for when we arrived and our departure! Loved loved loved our stay!

Stay tax £0.63 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the owner upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 18 years.

Booking Notes:
For bookings made well in advance a 25% deposit is payable to secure the reservation with the balance due 45 days before the start of your holiday.
Payment is made by bank transfer in EUR.
For bookings made within 45 days the full amount will be payable to secure the reservation.

Notes on prices:
The apartment has 2 double beds and 2 twin beds which sleep 6 people. For groups of 7 guests we can provide an additional bed at a cost of EUR 20 per night.

Check-in time is 3pm-6pm. We will be able to arrange a late check-in but this will incur an additional charge. For check-in from 6pm-9pm the amount is 30 Euro for check-in after 9pm it is 40 Euro. This is payable in advance.
