Holiday Home in Holetown, St James, Barbados, Caribbean - Fantastic Location, Private Road, 5 Min Walk To Beach, Shops, Supermarket, Bars and Restaurants

Little Bimshire is a beautifully Furnished, 3 bedroom 3 bathroom (all en-suite) Bungalow constructed 7 years ago adjoining Bimshire House. It is in a Private road in the Holetown area, on the Beautiful Platinum West Coast. There is a large family pool (shared with the Owners in Bimshire House when occupied) with pool and patio lights, and plenty of patio area for a Bar-B-Q's, entertaining and sunbathing, (The is a 5 burner gas Bar-B-Q with gas supplied) there is also an outside shower by the pool and a large undercover entertainment area. Across the back of the pool there is a large avery with multi coloured Budgies, Tortoises, waterfall and fish pond. The garden has numerous fruit trees including Limes, Pomigranite, coconut, mango, Bananas etc, of which guest are welcome to use when in fruit. Due to our location a car is not essential as Little Bimshire is within 5 minutes walk of all local amenities including; Banks, Post Office, Shopping Mall, Supermarket, 24 hour garage, Cinema and the famous Lime Grove Mall (where top brand clothes and jewellery can be purchased duty free). There are numerous Bars and Restaurants in Holetown catering for all tastes including local Bajan dishes, Ragamuffins restaurant in 1st Street is a must on a Sunday night for great food and entertainment and then join the street party afterwards (if your fit enough). Also within a 5 minute walk are beautiful White Sandy Beaches, with numerous Water Sports (scuba diving, Snorkelling, Fishing, Waterskiing, Glass Bottom Boat rides and Swimming with Turtles. Local buses are plentiful, reliable and cheap, and can take you all over the Island, including into Bridgetown, where as in Lime Grove you can do your Duty Free Shopping, especially for Fine Jewellery such as Diamonds, Emeralds, Rubies, Sapphires and the very rare and beautiful Tanzanite, also famous brand watches including Rolex, Omega, Tag etc. are also all available Duty Free. For the more energetic there are several World Class Golf Courses a short drive away, Horse Riding, tennis and Polo are also nearby, and some of the best Diving in Barbados can be found at Folkstone Marine Park in St. James.

Notes on accommodation: Smokers are welcome but please do not smoke inside the property. We do not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult. There is a z bed available for a 7th guest at £50 per week, Childs Cot/Day Bed (up to age 6ish), High chair, all available for Hire. Baby sitting service is available @ £20 per hour minimum charge £40 .For your convenience a local PAYG Mble phone is provided, there is a charge of £120 if lost or damaged Outside: Large pool and patio area with poolside shower, large Gas Bar-B-Q, sun loungers, tables and chairs with an undercover area! The Garden has various fruit trees including Coconut, Mango, Lime, Bananas, etc. A large avery with birds, pond, fish and tortoises. Parking for 6 cars. Cleaning / Towels / Linen All towels, Pool, Bath, etc are included. Beds & towels are changed weekly, there is an additional charge of $150 Bds per clean if extra cleaning is required

Superb value, great hosts.

The property is much bigger than we imagined and has a real feel of spaciousness, helped by the high ceilings. The lounge and dining areas are all very well equipped. All three bedrooms are large and easily 'double' rooms, with en suites for each.

The property was spotlessly clean and the outside area also. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen has all appliances you would expect in your own home, including a large fridge freezer including an ice dispenser.

Outside there are ample tables, chairs and sunbeds.

Barry and Julie are the owners and live in the adjoining property - they are such a nice couple, very welcoming and friendly - they make you feel at home and they genuinely seem to enjoy having guests. They were very helpful in terms of their local knowledge. We had an issue with a car we hired and they were able to help get that resolved.

We used all three rooms as we were three couples - this property is great value for money and I have rated as 5 stars, largely because of the owners approach to their guests, which for us was perfect.

Property is very comfortable and in convenient location

Property owners are very nice and extremely quick to respond to any queries or requests. Our flights were very delayed and they were understanding and had some supplies waiting for us when we got there. For myself this location was perfect. It is very close to brand new updated supermarket, west coast beach - best beaches on the island, shopping plazas with movie theater. Plus you have access to a pool at your front door which my daughter loved. My only drawback on the property was not having a dryer in the house for laundry. But that’s a personal issue as I like to travel with as little as possible and just do laundry. Most travelers don’t want to do laundry on their vacation! Would definitely stay on this property again

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your lovely review, it was a pleasure having you stay at Little Bimshire, with regard to there being no dryer, due to the climate in Barbados we have never found it necessary, most things dry in the sun in a couple of hours or so, especially as we do have 2 Large Rotary lines in the garden and for the occasions it does rain there is also a will mounted rotary dryer in the car port and we find washing drys on that even when it’s raining outside, but your point is noted regarding its convenience

Fantastic house, fabulous pool, great area and amazing hosts - highly recommended

Baz and Julie are just fabulous! They can't do enough for you and are the most wonderful hosts anybody could ask for. They go above and beyond what anybody would expect, to make your holiday the best it can be! They made us feel so welcome and comfortable and we could just be ourselves without worry. We really cannot thank them enough.

The house is perfect in every respect. It's in a great location just 5 minutes from a lovely beach and all the wonderful activity in Holetown. A short drive away are other beautiful beaches and the location is so central that getting from one end of the Island to another is easy and quick by car. The buses are also regular and go to all major destinations and can be caught at the end of the road.

The pool is fantastic - a great size with shaded seating areas around the edge. The kids played for hours at a time in the pool! Julie and Baz also provided them with a myriad of wonderful toys - water pistols, floats and slides! They were so happy in the pool and would have stayed in every day if we had let them!

The house has good sized rooms and the open plan kitchen/diner/lounge is a fantastic social place to be with the family. Every room is en-suite and a good size. The kitchen is well equipped and provides the basics such as salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets, tea bags, coffee, sugar etc. Baz and Julie welcomed us with a glass of wine, beer and a chat on our arrival. Baz even drove us down the road to collect take away pizza! So kind!

I really can't recommend the house, location and the hosts enough - they made our holiday extra special and you will not regret booking this place if you are holidaying in Barbados. THANK YOU BAZ AND JULIE - YOU REALLY MADE OUR HOLIDAY THE BEST IT COULD BE. We will definitely be returning, in fact, we intend to book very soon for next year!

Beautiful villa, very helpful and friendly owners, highly recommend

Travelled to the villa as a party of 6 consisting of 4 adults and 2 children. We got hopelessly lost on the way from the airport and phoned baz who was extremely helpful and even came and met us and took us to the villa. Without him we would probably still be lost now! Julie & baz made us all feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble, everything is provided even down to washing powder and adapter plugs. The villa is absolutely beautiful, well maintained and the owners went out of their way to accommodate us and our requests. Soya products were sourced for us and extra pillows provided. I cannot thank the owners enough and I would love to stay there again in the future. It's centrally located, right by the shopping centre and there are several good restaurants within easy walking distance however we found a car very useful throughout the holiday. There is a huge variety of pool inflatables which the children absolutely loved, games, dvds and music are also located in the villa. The pool is lovely, everywhere is very clean. The birds were lovely to wake upto also. The only thing we couldn't find was an ice cream scoop which was not the end of the world. I highly recommend this villa. Hopefully we will be able to visit again.

Perfectly located property, five minute walk from the sandy beaches, friendly bars and restaurants.

A massive thanks to Baz and Julie, we've just had a fantastic stay at their Villa, Little Bimshire.

They really couldn't have been more accomadating and helpful. The Villa is spacious, very large living dining area, three bedrooms en-suit, all very well furnished and very clean & tidy.

A good size swimming pool, before or after going to the beach was also well used.

With only a five minute walk to the sandy beaches, restaurants, friendly bars, supermarket and a great shopping Mall. Holetown really has lots to offer all age groups and Little Bimshire is a perfectly placed and affordable Villa to enjoy Barbados. And with the wonderful hospitality of Baz and Julie you really couldn't wish for a better holiday.

Amazing property in holetown

What a fantastic vacation we had at little bimshire, julie and baz were amazing hosts, the property had everything you could ask for we were there for four weeks and had gorgeous weather. Ragamuffins is a must for the drag queen show on Sunday nights and also the one love bar next door for $2.50 beers, also happy hour at zaccios right on the beach with amazing sunsets. The beaches were beautiful and only a 5 min walk from the house as was the supermarket and the mall. Food was quite expensive to eat out and also in the supermarket I would advise people to take as many basic supplies as you can with you.

Thanks again julie and baz for a great stay hopefully we will be back soon and congrats again on the birth of your newest grandson .
