Guestbook comments from the owner

Ellies Cottage is by far the most homely and cosy self catering accommodation we have rented in the past 25 years. (We go self catering at least twice a year). The cottage lacks for nothing. The beds are a dream!!!. The welcome breakfast pack was an added unexpected bonus. Locals very friendly and helpful. Hastings itself proving to be a pub/eating house heaven. Hoping to return here very soon. Thank you.

Jill & Maurice , Ledbury, Herefordshire.

We had a great time. I don't think we have ever stayed anywhere so homely and comfortable. You certainly thought of everything.

Sue and Nick, Faversham, Kent

What can we say that has not been said already? The cottage was amazing. It was nice to call somewhere home!!! It was absolutely perfect. Just enjoyed our time here so much. We will come back for sure. Thank you for everything.

Visiting our Granddaughter cottage on same road so just perfect. Loved the place so homely. Husband kept forgetting low beams will definitely stay here again much better than hotel or b&b

A fantastic place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a long weekend at Ellie's Cottage with three friends and we are all planning our next trip. The cottage is well equipped, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location. Communication with the owners was excellent and the welcome parcel of food was an extra bonus

Everything you could wish for.

Comfort, cleanliness, attention to detail and a superb location make this a wonderful place to stay. From the minute Andy greets you with his beaming smile to the feeling of being treated like a truly honoured guest you know you will feel at home! The provision of a very substantial welcome pack, complimentary wine, umbrella's, sparkling white fluffy towels, the attention to detail is endless. We were hard pushed to think of anything they had not thought of! The location is superb. Charming narrow old town street and a short walk to the Old part of Hastings where fishing as a living is all around you. Good pubs, good dining, wonderful Rye and Camber Sands around the corner made our 4 days fly by and wished we had booked for a week. Recommended without hesitation. Dawn and Nigel, London.
