Situated on a country lane in the village of Otterburn this holiday cottage is benefited by its spacious rooms and beautiful interior standards. The living room boasts a solid oak floor as well as an open fire place and Flat screen TV & DVD player. Wi Fi supplied. The Sun Lounge offers fantastic views of the garden and surrounding country side. A fully equipped kitchen looks onto the sun room making it ideal for families or groups of friends wishing to prepare meals but still be involved in the living space. Through the sun room’s French windows lies a large and well maintained garden that is separated from the front garden and drive making it an ideal area for children, pets and relaxing in the summer sun. All bedrooms are good sizes and with a single, twin and two doubles this house offers great versatility. Additionally, a utility room and porch offer extra space for preparing for the great outdoors or just another place to sit in the sun. With such lavish standards and a fantastic location for exploring the Northumbrian countryside, guests of this property will not be disappointed.

What makes this cottage unique

The size and versatility of the sleeping arrangements mean that this property is ideal for large groups and extended families. In addition, the fully enclosed back garden is exceedingly useful for families with small children and/ or pets. With two separate living spaces both leading onto the outside garden and the kitchen opening onto the sun lounge this property offers a great deal of space for relaxing and enjoying yourselves. Although the cottage is located on a quiet country lane, the local village shop which sells groceries at competitive prices is only a minute walk away at the bottom of the lane, making it a truly convenient location. A gravelled drive allowing for at least three parked cars completes the convenience of the property.

The cottage is very spacious and homely with great facilities and clean throughout and was even decorated for Christmas , Susan and Frank were very accommodating bringing us logs for the fabulous open fire on our first evening there , which was Christmas Eve , giving us information about the local pub and the village events over the Christmas period and leaving us a fabulous little Christmas hamper, the kitchen is well equipped and the oven , hob and microwave very easy to use as there are full instructions on hand full Christmas dinner was cooked and many other meals with ease during our stay ,there was also plenty of information in the cottage itself about the area and the surrounding areas , Great walks straight from the door our 2 Labs loved it !! the cottage is also very dog friendly one of the best we've stayed in . The cottage is right on the Otterburn Village trail walk, ans has great access to the Otterburn ranges where you can walk miles and not see a soul ,but only when the red flags are not flying or you could be in great danger !! Otterburn Mill is great to pop down and have a look around and also has a great cafe for lunches , the shop is open at very regular times and is very well stcoked . All in all Heatherlea is a fantastic place to stay and we would really recommend it to all , we hope to stay again in the furure .

The older part of the house is on one level with a double and single bedroom and family bathroom.
