Cottage in Wenhaston, Nr. Southwold, Suffolk, England - Peaceful Location, Off Road Parking For Two Cars And Secure Storage For Bikes

Dreadnought is a stylish but cosy cottage full of character but equipped with all the modern conveniences to ensure a comfortable stay. There are a king, double and single bedroom for a maximum of four guests and a newly refurbished bathroom. A large kitchen/breakfast room leads into a wonderfully light living room with wood burner which in turn leads into a dining room with a cosy seating area. Spacious and light Dreadnought lies in the pretty village of Wenhaston, within easy reach of Southwold, Dunwich and the RSPB Minsmere Bird Reserve. Beautifully presented and well equipped cottage

  • 5 of 5

This truly lovely cottage provides you with an excellent welcome, with some basic essentials plus a delicious cake awaiting your arrival. The excellent first impressions continue to delight as you explore the whole property. The decor, furnishings and equipment have all been carefully and tastefully selected to ensure a really fantastic holiday in relaxed and comfortable surroundings. We have been using Owners Direct for many years and this is definitely the best property we have stayed in. Perfectly positioned to visit gorgeous Southwold, Aldeburgh and Norwich as well as many other Suffolk and Norfolk destinations. We will return!!

Pretty Cottage, Pretty Village

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at Dreadnaught. It was comfortable, well designed and the roses were such a treat, almost coming in through the bedroom window. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. Perfect location for the coast at Southwold, Aldeburgh and Minsmere and the village was well placed near - but not too near - to the A12 for travelling around the rest of East Anglia (if we had had time!) We would love to stay again when we can next get back to Suffolk.

A great cottage, clean warm & welcoming

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is every bit as good as the photos suggest, from good off road parking to the tidy courtyard garden, first impressions are very favourable. Enter into the kitchen and it is clear the owners, managers & cleaners all care about this property. It really was the best overall we have stayed in, everything was good quality and well thought out.

The village is a great base for exploring Suffolk with The Star inn being an 8 minute walk away, great 'local' pub with very good food at surprisingly reasonable prices. The Queens Head at Blyford was just a 15 minute walk and was also very welcoming, with very good food & Adnams beer.

Living & dining rooms were well equipped with good stocks of games, books & DVD's. Bedrooms were spacious & welcoming with comfy beds.

Overall we would recommend anybody wanting to visit this part of the world to look no further than Dreadnaught cottage.

I forgot the welcome Victoria sponge - best cake ever - enjoy.

Lovely cosy cottage

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a cosy cottage in a village and this was exactly what we got, especially as the weather was cold, making the log burner a real luxury. The cottage was clean, well equipped and beautifully maintained. The location is ideal for getting some of the lovely places in coastal suffolk with plenty of walks, bracing sea air and nice pubs to warm up in. Thoroughly recommended.

Perfect cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cosy cottage is even nicer than the photos! Beautifully refurbished with very comfortable beds and seating and very well equipped. The welcome pack was a lovely touch; especially the delicious home made cake - thank you!. We had a long weekend with friends and enjoyed birdwatching, walking and relaxing in lovely weather. Also enjoyed the food in the two local pubs which are both within walking distance. This is one of the best properties I have stayed - highly recommended!
