GUEST COMMENTS 2015
Elaine and Family May
We had a wonderful holiday at Moonlight villa and it was everything expected and more.Did not want to come back and will certainly think about re-booking the villa in the future. Everything was clean and in excellent order and the views and peace were memorable. The kitchen had everything one needs and we only ate out once, preferring to stay at villa.

Guestbook comments from the manager
We had an absolutely fabulous time! The villa is wonderful and the view is simply breathtaking - we had some of the best sunsets I have ever seen. I even managed to bake a fairly decent sponge cake for Jenny's Birthday!
In terms of feedback, the amenities within the villa are excellent eg blender / coffee maker / whisk etc and the finish & décor are first class. The booking service was extremely simple (we would repeat in the future) and Sara was brilliant, especially when I inadvertently closed the front door with the keys inside!

Quality family time
After booking Moonlight villa through Annie at Peninsula villas in 2015, shortly after we left we booked again. We returned this year and had a lovely stay. We loved the new landscaping and pool as it gave more space for enjoying the evening. Every year we look forward to returning to this place as it offers unspoiled, unblocked sea view with fresh breeze in the evenings. You would not need air conditioning at night and do try sleeping outdoor.
Wonderful experience breathtaking views and sunset
We are a family of 4 enjoying the pleasures of Moonlight villa, sadly we have to leave tomorrow. We are reluctant and sad to leave this wonderful villa, it really must have the best open sea/Greek Island views in the whole of the Bodrum Peninsula, views and sunsets are breathtaking and tireless.
We booked Moonlight late in 2015 via Annie at Peninsula Villas, who are the owner’s booking agents. We were very surprised to learn some of the dates in July we wanted were already booked. Annie explained Moonlight is in demand and often repeat guests book early for the following season to secure their dates! Now we understand why and we will do the same for next year! Online booking was simple, payment direct to the owner’s bank account was also simple, secure and receipt of funds quickly confirmed by Peninsula Villas, we cannot fault their admin and process and would highly recommend them.
Sara, the villa manger, met us on arrival and is professional, efficient and friendly. We are regular visitors to Yalikavak and have to say, this is the best villa we have rented, why didn’t we find it before? The standard of fittings and furniture inside and out is very high and the views from all rooms and the relaxing terrace really are amazing.
When we booked, Annie explained the owners were building a new pool and terrace for 2016 and that it would be really classy and stylish … WOW, it is! The pool is a large infinity pool and huge spacious sun terrace with classy sun loungers, hammock and pool towels. Moonlight and sunsets are spectacular sights from the pool and dining/lounging terrace. We have spent most of our holiday living outside, eating, swimming, sun downing, BBQing, the villa is perfect for summer outside living, something we are not used to. Inside the villa is equally as attractive – in short, a perfect holiday home for a relaxing, chill out break. One topic we need to comment on is the area. Having seen news reports about safety in Turkey, even as regular travelers to this area, we wondered what to expect. We thought we might see refugees attempting to reach Greece as reported last year, but saw none. We spoke to restaurant owners about this and were told this had now stopped and evidently there are none in the area. Safety concerns, the Bodrum Peninsula appears to be unaffected and the serene, calm way of life in a small town area is the same we experienced in previous years.
Moonlight, we’ll be back!
Amazing Villa with spectacular view
We have stayed in many places over the years but nothing quite prepared us for this villa, having the best view you could ever wish to see.
The Villa is truly luxurious with attention to the smallest detail. Our evening would often finish with a drink on the balcony.
There are plenty of places to visit and the restaurants cater for all tastes and pockets. The Palmarina with it's multi million pound mega yachts are worth a visit. Nowhere is far but a car is recommended.
If you want luxury in a wonderful location then look no further. We must comment that the organisation/administration of the booking and management during our stay was flawless. Thanks to Annie,Ian, Pascale and Mark who made our stay so wonderful. We will definitely be back. Many thanks, Kevin & Pam from North Wales.
Perfect relaxing villa with stunning view.
We had the most wonderful holiday at Moonlight. The villa has everything you can need and more besides. Spacious, cool, comfortable with lovely terrace and pool furniture that just begged for long relaxing days watching the boats below going to and from to Yalikavak harbour a few kilometres away. Husband Spent most of day lazing in the gorgeous comfy hammock! We could hardly bear to go anywhere and only went out 4 evenings, watching the sun go down whilst barbecuing the rest of the evenings.
Thanks go to Pascale, the house manager who was available to answer any questions we had and supply local detail and Annie at Peninsula Villas who we booked through.
A very efficient service and fast contact when we had any queries. Annie also arranged the private transfer to and from the airport which went without a hitch.
Thanks also to Hassan who maintained the pool each day for us.
Villa is furnished beautifully with comfortable sofas and beds and lovely bathrooms. Kitchen is top notch, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine washing machine and more gadgets and saucepans than you could ever need.
Although car hire is recommended and we intended to hire one for a few days, we found that a 10 minute downhill walk with stunning views took us to the local Migros supermarket and bakery, an uphill walk back so don't carry too much, but a taxi for a big shop only cost 10 lira back (£2.50) so we stocked up twice that way.
The dolmus stop to Yalikavak and Turgetreis directions are by the supermarket too and it was good fun passing money up and down bus for everyone but a taxis are cheap, equivalent of £10 one way to Yalikavak and £6 to Gumusluk, both worth a visit for the waterfront restaurants and wandering around looking at craft stalls and shops.
You will not regret hiring this villa, we are all hoping we will return soon.
Fantastic villa with idyllic views
Absolutely fantastic villa with idyllic views!
We had a great time at the “Moonlight villa”.
The villa was everything we had hoped for and even more!
The owners obviously take great care to provide every detail. The villa is luxury, spacious, and also very clean. A truly wonderful space, perfect for our family to share. Kitchen is also very well equipped with everything you can possibly need.
The furnishings and decoration are stylish and delightful, with little touches (library, paintings,...) that make you feel at home.
We also especially enjoyed the outside dining and lounge area with stunning panoramic sea view. Our kids loved the pool and garden!
We loved BBQing at evening and eating outside, whilst watching wonderful sunsets. It was also so relaxing to sit down on the lounge area on the terrace, sipping a drink and admiring the sail boats go by.
Location is perfect: bakery and supermarket are only 2 minutes drive. We ate great fish on the Gumusluk beach and also enjoyed the Yalikavak’s luxury marina and all its amenities.
Yalikavak and Gumusluk’s markets are also worth it!
Thank you also to Annie from peninsulavilla care who helped us finding the villa we were dreaming of!
We will definitly come back to Moonlight villa. Simply LOVED it!

Activity and Interests
Special interest holidays:
Good location for walking. Many historic sites around with Ephesus ruins a 2.5 hour drive away and Bodrum Castle and the Mausoleum less than 20 mins away.
Koyunbaba beach is approx 10/15 mins walk from the villa and can be reached by following the road through the Karya development. Some beaches are private and may have access restricted to residents of nearby properties.
Yalikavak beaches and the Marina are 10 mins by road. The Marina has a large pool and beach club. All towns on the Peninsula are close by so worth exploring on days out. All are different and offer beaches, waterside dining.
Bodrum Milas Airport is approx 45 mins away.
The Bodrum to Kos (Greece) ferry can either be caught from the Ferry terminal in Bodrum or Turgutreis. This is a day trip and takes less than 1 hour and costs around Euro 25/30 per person.
A car is advised for this location. The dolmus (public transport minibus) runs along the main road from Yalikavak to Gumusluk, this is near the Migros supermarket (which is 1km, 2 mins drive away).
Bodrum town is 20 mins from Villa Moonlight
Yalikavak is 10 mins drive, Gumusluk fishing village and harbour restaurants are 10 mins drive in the opposite direction
Turgutreis is 20 mins drive
Nearest supermarket, Migros, 1 km - 15 minute walk, 2 min drive
Moonlight is on a development of only 7 private villas, with apartments behind them. There is a very large shared pool close by (with child's pool) with child's playground, basket ball and outside gym area.
Yalikavak's town centre has retained its traditional Turkish charm. With its simple but stylish laid back atmosphere and friendly welcoming locals, this is its main attraction and the reason why holidaymakers return to the area year after year. Along the coast road en-route from the villa to Yalikavak you will pass some of the best fish restaurants on the Bodrum Peninsula huddled together in their own 'fish restaurant village' area. A couple of minutes further on takes you to Yalikavak's fashionable new Marina with super yachts, gullets and sail boats visiting from all around the world. The Marina is home to smart shops, bars, restaurants and a beach club which hosts open air concerts during high summer. The centre of Bodrum is less than 20 minutes from here with its own smart Marina, town centre shops and, of course, the famous Bodrum Castle.
Bodrum town has fabulous shops in the Marina area and also along the narrow streets of the old town near the Castle. At night, the Marina has open air live music starting at 10pm until the early hours nightly during high summer.
Yalikavak has supermarkets, banks, ATMs, Taxi ranks, bus station, petrol stations etc.
