Fantastic well fitted and equiped appartment very close to the main St Gervias lift

  • 5 of 5

Amazing and immaculate apartment. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you will need.

A very short walk to the main St Gervais Cable car and easy access to many other of the Chamonix lift pass resorts, either by car or local Ski-Bus service.

Also a nice walk to the main St Gervais town with a brilliant diversity and sensibly priced restaurants. So much better value than the 3 valleys.

Great communication with the owners, who were really helpful in recommending local services, restaurants and how to get the best out of the holiday.

A very comfortable, well-equipped apartment in a fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this lovely apartment in the beautiful alpine town of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. It was just right for our needs - very comfortable and well equipped, with fantastic views from the balcony, only a short walk to the cable car for Le Bettex and a wonderful local baker and the centre of town only a few minutes away. Saint-Gervais is a great centre for visiting the mountains in the summer with the Tramway du Mont Blanc rack railway, many great local walks and Chamonix only a few miles away. All directions and instructions were very helpful. Thoroughly recommended!

Preparation for the Ascent of Mont Blanc

  • 5 of 5

We spent 8 nights in St. Gervais Le Bains which we used as a base for Alpine walking with the intention of spending as much time as possible as high as possible to prepare ourselves for the ascent of Mont Blanc during the following week. The flat in Le Warrens was exactly as described in the literature and we found it ideal for our purposes. There was plenty of space for the two of us but we might have found it rather cramped had we been four people. The kitchen was very well equipped and we didn't lack anything we needed during our time there. The verandah was an excellent place to eat, both for breakfast and in the evenings. The whole flat was very clean, the beds were comfortable and with the flats on either side and below us appearing to be empty, it was very quiet and peaceful at night. The only feature which would have added to the flat would have been air conditioning although we only thought this on the two hottest days. We made good use of the fan! The location of the flat was far enough from the centre of the village to prevent us hearing any significant noise in the late evenings and yet close enough to allow everything we needed from the village to be a short walk away. Two bakers' shops were within a few minutes' walk and a telecabin was also just a few minutes away.

Five star apartment in comfort, standard, design as well as location

  • 5 of 5

We are two female childhood friends who just arrived home after one week ski holiday in this lovely appartment, The apartment is smart, very nicely designed, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped. An extra plus is the huge balcony that makes the rooms flowing in light, and from which the views over the village and the mountains are stunning. Also the location is top - just a few min walk to the Bettex Gondola which leads up to the vast and breathtakingly beautiful ski area of Evasion Mont Blanc. The Saint Gervaise village center, with a good selection of shops and restaurants, is within a 10 min walk. However, for the "every morning fresh bread" you just have to cross the street from the apartment building which was a blessing. Right next door to the bakery you conveniently also find the ski rental shop Nerey Glissé, which we warmly recommend.

Overall the village of Saint Gervais is very pleasant with some great restaurants (we especially liked La Galeta) and a genuinely friendly atmosphere. However, with a nonexistent nightlife beyond the restaurants and a couple of sport pubs, this is definitely not the place for the party seeker. On the other hand it is the perfect place to be for relaxation or “skiers-only”, as well as for families as there are many activities besides skiing, such as public bath, skating, mini golf, tennis etc.

The skiing is excellent! Maybe not as daring and challenging as in neighboring Chamonix but instead you get a huge connected system with a great variation for every level of skiers. The slopes as well as the lifts are impressively well maintained, and the off-piste possibilities are numerous. A big advantage is the relatively moderate lift queues which enable you to enjoy more efficient skiing. There are a wide selection of restaurants in the slopes in different price ranges, and –absolutely not to miss if you like music and dancing - the famous and very lively after ski at “La Folie Douce”.

Last but not least; when it comes to beauty, the ski area of Evasion Mont Blanc have without no doubt very few (if any) competitors!

We would surely like to return both to Saint Gervais and the apartment, and will gladly recommend it to others!

Our warmest thanks to our hostess Gillian for a wonderful stay and for your support, friendliness and professionalis

Owner's Response: Great news that you had a great holiday and found the apartment to your liking. We agree that St Gervais is not for party lovers....its appeal is the relaxed environment, authenticity and family orientation. We'd be delighted to welcome you back.

This is a lovely, bright apartment - very well equipped, roomy and clean. Excellent location for the Bettex lift and for walking into town. Has a large balcony with great view over the village. Hope to return next year.
