Guestbook comments from the owner

This is a beautiful cottage, in a wonderful location, with stunning views across Malvern and the Severn Valley. The cottage is warm, cosy, comfortable and quiet and has everything you need for your stay. You can walk to the centre of Malvern in about 35 minutes, partly across the beautiful common and there is a path giving direct access to the hills about 5 minutes from the cottage. The cottage is a beautiful mix of old and new, and has a great selection of books for both adults and children. James and Pepi were a delight to communicate with, and I would highly recommend them as hosts, and would not hesitate to stay in their cottage again.

Wonderful views and very quiet

  • 4 of 5

This is a well equipped cottage with wonderful views over the Severn Valley towards the Cotswolds. It was also very quiet. If you are taking children with you the bedroom with bunk beds is definitely geared up for them with lots of toys and books. The kitchen is well equipped as well. It might benefit from a more comfortable or two easy chairs in the sitting room although the sofa was very comfortable indeed. I would recommend it as a good place to stay.

Nice quiet area, lovely view from the front of the house.

  • 3 of 5

The house is in need of some TLC. It needs a good coat of paint and the utility room is a mess. It would be very useful to have the instructions for the cooker, washing machine and dishwasher at the property.

Great for walking as you can get up to the hills without using the car.

The bus information at the property is completely out of date and an up to date train timetable would be useful.

Great!

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant time in Malvern. The cottage was great. Fantastic location and a lovely view in the front garden. We are a family of four with two children under two. The cottage was child friendly with a cot and highchair both being provided.

The bedrooms are pretty big which provided lots of space. There were lots of books in the children's room which was a great addition and the kitchen had everything you could need.

The cottage is in a very quiet spot with lots of walks on it's doorstep. We drove in to the centre of Malvern most days which was around 10 minutes away. Ideal.

Communication from James throughout was excellent. We have family in Malvern and will be staying in the area again and will definitely return here.

Cosy cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Four of us - two couples - spent Friday evening to Monday morning at Ivy cottage. The cottage was clean, cosy and warm with a fantastic view out of the front windows. The owners had furnished it tastefully and there were loads of interesting books to browse through. A friendly pub doing good food and excellent beer was close by, up a hill accessed by the Pixie steps. We went walking in the Shropshire Hills on Saturday and Offa's Dyke on Sunday near Hergist. Malvern is well situated to take advantage of the amazing countryside walks available in the locale. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Cute, comfy and ideally located

  • 4 of 5

Cute little house with everything you need as a family to enjoy the area for a few days. We didn't have a car and didn't need one, shops, pubs, town and all a easy walk away. Great location for exploring the local hills.
