Another Fantastic Stay

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we arrived for our second stay, it felt that we had arrived back at our second home. Everything spotless as always, comms with Katy as easy as ever. We literally dumped our bags, crossed the road and down the track to Readymoney Cove for the obligatory skimming of stones on the beach. On this trip we nailed some of the great walks to be had in Cornwall - The Hall walk from Fowey; nearby Lanhrydrock and further afield to Trelissick Gardens near Falmouth, the Roseland and on the north coast, Watergate Bay (head round the corner to Mawgan Porth for something to eat - less crowdy and just as good). The only disappointing part is having to leave.

Magnificent Bulah to compliment stunning Fowey

  • 5 of 5

Wow! the best holiday house we have ever stayed in! and we have stayed in a lot. Bulah was so clean and tidy; well equipped with everything you could want in a house. The owners have definitely thought long and hard about what people would want from a holiday house and have totally nailed it. Well done them!

Bulah is just a short walk by road or via the lovely tree lined lane into Fowey where there are beautiful clothes shops, gift shops, galleries and bakeries. Hall walk is a must for people who like walking and a river crossing. Golant and Polkerris are must too all within walking distance. We had a fab two weeks and would recommend Bulah to anyone who would like a real comfortable stay.

Thank you to the Bulah owners for letting us stay in their stunning house

Beautiful, home from home, perfect for children

  • 5 of 5

It's a beautiful home and they thought of everything! From general information emailed the week before our arrival to a fully equipped kitchen, good quality furnishings and lots for the children as well: board games, two spades and a fishing net, ample DVDs, a train set that my kids played with everyday - there is a living room upstairs and downstairs so kids took over the upstairs one - TVs in every room which is great on holiday.

The garden is very well maintained with lots of herbs growing which we used in our cooking! There were a couple of bikes in the garage as well but we had brought our own so didn't use them. The only issue we had was finding it late at night on arrival as the road has no name - luckily passers by helped us - also, phone reception is poor but wifi is included so it's not too much of an issue.

Bring good walking shoes! But if you need to take a bus back from Fowey center, ask the driver and they will drop you outside the front door. We generally didn't like the food much but 'Sam's" is worth a visit - amazing bouillabaisse! The bakeries are great and Eden project is not far at all - you could easily spend a couple of days there - tickets were a little cheaper from the Fowey tourist office.

BEAUTIFUL HOME FROM HOME

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday spent in an excellent holiday house. Bulah was perfect. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. The upstairs lounge was ideal for the kids, giving them their own space. The outside space was a real sun trap which we made the most of as the weather was really great. We walked into Fowey numerous times using the path and also stopped off at Readymoney Cove. A lovely walk. Bulah is in the perfect location for sightseeing. The Eden Project was well worth a visit. Having children I can recommend the Football Golf, it was really good fun for all the family. We occasionally ate at the Holmbush Inn in St Austell, which I would recommend . Lovely food. This property is an all round home from home. Hope to be back one day.

Wonderful property, very family friendly

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Bulah during May half-term, and were lucky enough to have a week of fantastic weather with sun every day. The house is absolutely fantastic - very spacious, clean and bright with plenty of good facilities. We have 2 young children (3 & 5) who loved the house, and it was perfect for a young family - they liked to play in the upstairs living area, which is nice and bright, and the enclosed rear garden was safe for them.

The bedrooms / beds were all comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped and the whole house was spotlessly clean. There was a games cupboard with a few toys for younger children, and plenty of DVDs to choose from.

Fowey is a good base for a holiday - we spent time going into Fowey to explore, going to the beaches (the closest beach is about 1mile along a footpath, we also went elsewhere to a very 'sandy' beach and a 'rock-pooling' beach). The Eden Project is very close and we spent a day there, we also went out to Lappa Valley railway which was good for children.

We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful property

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a family Easter break at Bulah and cannot recommend the property highly enough. Thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean upon arrival. You can tell that thought and expense has gone into finishing this house. Comms with Katy where a breeze and helpful from start to end. I used to live locally and for me the house is perfectly located for visiting anywhere in Cornwall - we travelled to the north coast, St Ives, Penzance and closer to home - Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan etc. Equally we simply enjoyed the walks into Fowey or the 10 minute walk from the house to Readymoney cove.

We're already planning our return visit!
