Sandpipers is a 150 year old ex-fisherman's cottage ideally situated in the heart of East Looe. It is arranged over 3 floors, set in a quiet traffic free lane and only metres from Looe's sandy beach, picturesque working fishing harbour and bustling promenade, with all the town's facilities on your doorstep. Sandpipers has been extensively refurbished whilst keeping it’s character, and has extensive living space within and outside seating on a planted, open courtyard.

About Peter Corbett

We have been coming to holiday in Cornwall ourselves for more years than we care to remember, initially in our younger years to surf on the North coast, although if surfing is your thing the South coast has plenty to offer with the rugged Whitsand Bay only a short drive along the coast.

We visit all year round & the beauty of Looe is...its open 365 days a year!!

Coast/Beach:

1 minute walk to a golden, sandy beach supported by cafes, beach shops and RNLI. Two minutes walk to a rocky beach, ideal for rock pooling. Talland Bay and Polperro can be accessed along the coastal path from Looe.

Through the summer activities such as guided rock pooling for the family, fisherman's choirs, woodland dawn chorus walks and events such as the Lugger's regatta, music, book and food festivals and live entertainment throughout the year in the many pubs. More than 20 restaurants within walking distance of the cottage, some award winning, with a huge choice from family diners to haute cuisine.

The coastal path heads off from both East and West Looe, and a bar/restaurant can be found at Millendreath and Talland Bay.

Travel:

A short drive from the A38 (10 minutes) to the centre of Looe. Rail links by the National network from Liskeard, via the picturesque Looe Valley line. Bus routes from/to Plymouth. Parking is available close to the property at the Millpool car park (£32 a week). Free parking is however available in the area. Sandpipers can be accessed by car, to drop off and pick up luggage.

Distances:

Polperro fishing village can be accessed on foot, or by bus.

Further Details:

Bustling high street is supported by supermarkets, chemists, post office, banks with free cash points, pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Sandpipers Cottage, Looe.

Once again Looe has provided us with the ideal break, a complete wind down. Sandpipers is ideally located, 2 minutes from the beach in one direction and 2 minutes from shops, pubs and restaurants in the other (oh! and don't forget the pasty shop, mmmm....) that actually could be 1 minute depending on how quickly you walk, baring all this in mind the cottage is in a very quiet location. Inside it was clean and adequately furnished and provided all the facilities you might need. We had a wonderful week!

Just beautiful!!

We are just back from a weeks stay in this beautiful cottage. It looks lovely in the photos but is even better when you see it for real! Clean, tidy and surprisingly spacious as its over three floors. The location is perfect, within the hustle and bustle but far enough away to not be disturbed. It's literally less than a minutes walk to the beach, shops and cafes.

The area is great for kids with crabbing, boat trips, rock pools and a beautiful beach. Would highly recommend the Courtyard restaurant which is 2 minutes away from the cottage, and also a cream tea in West Looe overlooking the Estuary.

I would highly recommend Sandpipers, and can't wait to go back next year!!

Lovely little cottage

I had a lovely stay at sandpipers, very central close to all amenities & the beech yet surprisingly quiet & peaceful no noise from late night revellers. Like all coastal resorts he only downside was parking but 35pound for a weekly pass in the car park wasn't to bad. All in all I would recommend sandpipers & would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Cottage in a Lovely Location

My girlfriend and I had a lovely break at this cottage in Looe. The location is perfect, a minute from the beach and with all the local pubs, shops and restaurants, everything you need is on your doorstep. The cottage itself was also very comfortable and homely, a home away from home, with good cooking facilities and a well stocked kitchen if you want to eat in, a comfy and cosy living room and master bedroom. The owners of the cottage have clearly gone above and beyond to make the cottage a fantastic place to stay. My girlfriend and I would highly recommend staying here.
