About the Owner

We have been coming to holiday in Cornwall ourselves for more years than we care to remember, initially in our younger years to surf on the North coast, although if surfing is your thing the South coast has plenty to offer with the rugged Whitsand Bay only a short drive along the coast.

We visit all year round & the beauty of Looe is...its open 365 days a year!!

Ideal location, great to be so close to the beach and the pubs for the evening. (Mr and Mrs Reiner)

Great place, loved being able to sit downstairs for a meal with friends while the kids watched DVDs upstairs. (The White family)

Had a great time. Loved being able to sit outside, the flowers were beautiful! (B & T Abrahams)

Just beautiful!!

  • 5 of 5

We are just back from a weeks stay in this beautiful cottage. It looks lovely in the photos but is even better when you see it for real! Clean, tidy and surprisingly spacious as its over three floors. The location is perfect, within the hustle and bustle but far enough away to not be disturbed. It's literally less than a minutes walk to the beach, shops and cafes.

The area is great for kids with crabbing, boat trips, rock pools and a beautiful beach. Would highly recommend the Courtyard restaurant which is 2 minutes away from the cottage, and also a cream tea in West Looe overlooking the Estuary.

I would highly recommend Sandpipers, and can't wait to go back next year!!

Lovely little cottage

  • 4 of 5

I had a lovely stay at sandpipers, very central close to all amenities & the beech yet surprisingly quiet & peaceful no noise from late night revellers. Like all coastal resorts he only downside was parking but 35pound for a weekly pass in the car park wasn't to bad. All in all I would recommend sandpipers & would definitely stay again.

Owner's Response: Thanks you very much for taking the time to review. Glad you had a good time. Yes it's a pain there is no free parking near the cottage, but there is free parking over on West Looe which is a 10 minute walk. Hope to see you again soon!

Beautiful Cottage in a Lovely Location

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I had a lovely break at this cottage in Looe. The location is perfect, a minute from the beach and with all the local pubs, shops and restaurants, everything you need is on your doorstep. The cottage itself was also very comfortable and homely, a home away from home, with good cooking facilities and a well stocked kitchen if you want to eat in, a comfy and cosy living room and master bedroom. The owners of the cottage have clearly gone above and beyond to make the cottage a fantastic place to stay. My girlfriend and I would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely cottage in great location

  • 4 of 5

My husband, our 3 year old son, and I spent an enjoyable week in this cottage. It was nice to have accommodation spread over three floors giving us enought room to spread out and the kitchen had all the equipment you could require with the exception of a washing machine. I do suggest that anyone with children who need a dark bedroom bring a black out curtain with them as the street light outside is rather bright. The cottage is well maintained and is literally a 2 minute walk from the beach, the quay and the shops. We highly recommend anyone with children to try Mama J's Italian restaurant in Higher Market Street, they are remarkably child friendly. We come to Looe quite often and we look forward to booking Sandpipers again soon!

Owner's Response: Hi Helen Thanks for your feedback, glad you liked the cottage! We hadn't realised that the blind allowed street light into the second bedroom and will address this with a blackout blind as soon as possible. Kind regards Peter

Practical comfortable cottage in a quiet setting

  • 5 of 5

Very well laid out facilities in cottage, nicely decorated, impeccably keen. Owner contactable throughout week and very helpful. Convenient for beach, good indian restaurant within walking distance; gifty shops small and friendly, also good basic stores like Co-op and Boots. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Cracking property in a cracking spot

  • 5 of 5

From the outside the property stands out to its neighbours, with lovely climbing plants and a bold blue door.

Inside, the property doesn't dissapoint with natural features, and a lovely traditional homely feel.

Sandpipers is a 30 second walk from the beach, the pubs and the pasty shops.

I would highly recommend sandpipers.
