Very nice to be greeted by the owners and a lovely welcome basket.

We'll equipped kitchen, everything provided. Eg, foil, cling film. Washing up liquid and good quality cleaning products , very useful for making pack ups etc. love the modern shabby chic decor. A lovely feel to the cottage. Lovely log burners. Nice bedding and towels. The whole cottage is very clean and cosy. And wonderful to be able to bring our dog who is such a big par to f the family. And great that a dog sitter was arranged at short notice too.

Overall we had a lovely week, very relaxing and would defiantly recommend the cottage to our friends.

Fantastic week!

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from an amazing week at this cottage. A beautiful property which feels like you are miles from anywhere yet just 1 mile from the town centre. There was so much to see and do from Alton towers, waterworld and the monkey forest is a must!

The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything you could need (right down to a slow cooker, hair dryer and straighteners!) jacuzzi bath amazing and memory foam bed so comfortable! I was worried there may be the smell of dogs but this was not the case at all - it was clean smelling and not a dog hair in sight.

The owner Pauline was amazing - baking delicious cakes, leaving milk, bread and eggs and even boiling the kettle for our arrival! Suggestions for days out and places to eat was so useful - just a shame we didn't get round to doing them all.

I would definitely recommend this cottage and look forward to returning here in the future!

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

A comfortable cottage with lovely views in a great location. Had everything you needed and the field for the kids to run about in was a bonus. Whilst the cottage is in a lovely rural location, it is only takes a few minutes to drive into Leek. Lots of lovely walks and places to visit nearby to keep kids, grandparents and dog entertained.

A beautiful cottage, very clean and cosy. Set in a rural area but near to all amenities. The owners were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to visit. The treats they provided on arrival were much appreciated. Would highly recommend this cottage.

A little Gem in the countryside.

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was perfect from start to finish, The cottage was clean and homely, and well equipped. The fresh bread, cakes and milk, and welcome made us feel comfortable straight away. As you wander around the cottage you will find little signs giving you information that in alot of places is not even thought about. A really nice touch.

We visited some lovely places while we were here, and would recommend seeing the Monkey Forest. If you want a day with the dogs you must visit the Dorothy Clive Gardens, really beautiful. The Lazy Trout is a great Dog friendly pub, but we found ourselves getting take-out more often than not , so that we could go back to the cottage, and make the most of this little gem.

Returning to little bent

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time staying at little bent and it's more beautiful than we remembered it. Pauline was as welcoming as always, leaving fresh bread, butter, milk, eggs and cakes which were yummy! We had every season of weather whilst there including snow which the dogs loved playing in at the field. It was cold enough to use the log burners which add to the lovely cosy feel of the cottage. The sunsets were as outstanding as last time. It was a perfect, relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. If you want a holiday where you are totally left alone then this is the place to be. Look forward to returning again this year. Thanks again Pauline and Ray, the hard work and attention to detail you put in to the cottage certainly does you proud. X
