Enjoy its amenities along with the delightful setting, within easy reach of all the riches of the Derbyshire and Staffordshire Peak District. Little Bent cottage is a luxury self catering holiday cottage which sleeps up to 6/7 adults. You can unwind in peace and tranquility in the midst of spectacular rural countryside. Spend days out walking The Coombes or wander around local market towns and picturesque villages, or visit the wealth of historic buildings,and gardens such as Biddulph Grange. Little Bent is well located near the historic market town of Leek, and in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The area offers wonderful opportunities to explore the ceramics trail, go geocaching, enjoy adventure and excitement. There are many attractions within a short drive, Alton Towers(9miles), Rudyard Lake and The Churnet Valley Railway , and the Manifold Valley. The area offers wonderful walking, riding, cycling and climbing opportunities. The wow factor is the location which offers stunning views. The Cottage provides a warm welcome with its two wood burners, modern farmhouse style kitchen, three bedrooms, a small cloakroom, and a bathroom with a large shower and a Jacuzzi bath, and comfortable furnishings. Bent Cottage is ideal not only for those seeking peace and tranquility, but also provides a perfect base for further exploration of the Staffordshire Moorlands and the Peak District. there is plenty of outdoor space to chill or for childern to run off all their energy! At a additional charge there is a dog sitter/walker available. And A local CRB checked babysitter.we have the services of a qualified, experienced hairdresser and beautician for those thinking of a relaxing treat for themselves or may be a group of friends.

Very nice to be greeted by the owners and a lovely welcome basket.

We'll equipped kitchen, everything provided. Eg, foil, cling film. Washing up liquid and good quality cleaning products , very useful for making pack ups etc. love the modern shabby chic decor. A lovely feel to the cottage. Lovely log burners. Nice bedding and towels. The whole cottage is very clean and cosy. And wonderful to be able to bring our dog who is such a big par to f the family. And great that a dog sitter was arranged at short notice too.

Overall we had a lovely week, very relaxing and would defiantly recommend the cottage to our friends.

Washing line, pegs and clothes horse available, locking bike shed, BBQ and outside furniture.the area outside is exceptionally spacious offering lots of opportunities to enjoy a safe, ring fenced , private space. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels provided, with washer/dryer and iron/ironing board facilities. If booking more than one week towels will be changed after the end of each week, and bed linen if requested. The property is very clean and pleasant .

Perfect cottage in wonderful location

So glad I found this little gem, my husband, daughter, son in law and two grand children 8 and 18 months had a wonderful few days here visiting Alton towers, waterworld, monkey forest then Cadbury world on the way home. The cottage is lovely in wonderful secluded grounds with just the sound of sheep and birds. Pauline has provided everything you could need and more, I wasn't expecting so much and the little touches like home made cakes, fresh eggs and milk are very much appreciated, she also told me about local shops,restaurants and places to visit. The weather wasn't too good but the cottage is very cosy we absolutely loved it and would recommend it to everyone

Distances:

Little Bent is well located for so many types of holidays. Its on the edge of the Peak District, lots of amazing walks and cycle trips are literally just outside the gate. Within less than 10 miles you have the Manifold Valley, Dovedale, The Roaches, Rudyard lake, Carsington water and much more. The market town of Leek is just 2.5 miles away. With Buxton, Macclesfield, Stoke On Trent and Ashbourne nearby. Just to mention a few.

Further Details:

Nestled between so many picturesque villages,Bradnop, onecote,Butterton. Grindon. Ipstones. There are no shortage of traditional country pubs to sample. Many within walking district and all within a short cycle ride. With a cycle hire centre in Waterhouses, where the less frequent riders can enjoy a peaceful, flat cycle ride along the manifold track. There are golf courses in town. Clay pigeon shoots every second and fourth Sunday in the month. Families will love the world famous Alton towers which is than 10 miles away, Trentham monkey forest or the popular Waterworld; where regardless of the weather the family can experience hours of family fun. There are the alton towers spa; another great experience, regardless of the weather. The nearest supermarket is only 1.5 miles away.

A £100 deposit is requested upon booking, the payment is due on arrival .The deposit will be returned no less than 24 hours after vacating assuming that everything as been left as it was found .

Changeover Day:
There is a flexible change over day. With arrivals no early than 3 pm , unless prior arrangements have been made . And departures are asked to be no later than 11am.we have full week. Weekend and mid week breaks available. Minimum of a two night stay.

Notes on prices:
Our prices start at £175 for a 2 night break . Up to a £600 for a high season week for 6/7 guests.with an additional £100 refundable deposit. This is our first season and we hope that you will agree that these prices are very competitive and we think represent good value for money. But we will let you be the judge of this.
