This sunny, light and modern second floor apartment, ideal for all times of year, even in winter thanks to York's calendar of interesting seasonal events, is located in a purpose built block with secure gated parking. Situated at the head of a quiet cul-de-sac, it offers stunning views of the Minster and is less than 50 metres to the city walls and Monlbar.

The property is finished to a high standard and comprises two bedrooms; one double, one twin, a spacious lounge and well equipped kitchen /dining room to seat 4. Easy to use electric heating in every room. Furniture, beds and bedding are all of an excellent quality to ensure a comfortable stay. Towels,tea towels and other basic kitchen necessities plus a welcome pack are also provided in the price. For further requirements a Sainsburys store is tucked away 50 metres from the apartment.

A "meet & greet" service is offered alongside an information pack containing maps, guides, venues and up-to-date current events for you to make the most of your visit.

The lounge looks onto an enclosed communal garden with seating and covered dining area plus a sheltered cycle store for the more energetic visitor.

York is a surprisingly compact city and most major attractions; river walks and cruises, museums, Minster, shops and restaurants are all within easy walking distance of the apartment. The railway station can be reached on foot in around 20 minutes and the Railway museum is close by.

For people wishing to travel further afield by car or public transport, North Yorkshire offers a varied range of tourist attractions within an hour's drive, such as; spectacular coastline and beaches, historic houses and picturesque villages, all set in beautiful unspoilt countryside, even a nostalgic trip on the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway to Whitby for their famous fish and chips!

Notes on accommodation: This sunny apartment is ideal for all seasons and even in winter the cosy heating and double glazing make it ideal for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Outside: The enclosed gardens extend to the rear of the property and contain benches for sun worshipers, and a covered barbecue and seating area, plus a cycle shed. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Housekeeping services will be provided to include good quality bedlinen and towels at the start of each stay. A Meet and Greet is offered as part of this package.

Amazing Accomodation

This was an amazing find on VRBO/HomeAway. The location cannot be beaten. It is walking distance to everything in York. No car is necessary, except for going further afield. There is plenty of beautiful sights to see in North Yorkshire.

The flat itself is first class all the way. Decorated with high standards in mind. It was very comfortable with everything one might need at hand. The front room has a stellar view of York Minster; especially at sunset.

Having gated parking gave piece of mind. Parking in York is so limited but we had a space to come to whenever we returned.

Prior to the stay, we had excellent communication with owner Julia, who made certain things were ready upon our arrival. When we did arrive we received a warm welcome from Jim and Julia, who introduced us to our temporary abode.

If the need arises, I would most definitely stay at this property again in the future. In addition, I would recommend this to my friends and family.

Excellent location and lovely apartment

We had a great time in York. The apartment was very well equipped and it was a great place to relax after a day out walking. Also the location made it very easy to get into all the sights of the city, with restaurants and bars in walking distance.

Lovely apartment close to everything!

We stayed here for weekend (4 people) and loved it. The welcome was punctual, thorough and friendly. Everything you needed was there and there is loads of space. The view out over the Cathedral is wonderful. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting York.

Fantastic flat, great location

We were a family of four (two adults, two kids, 13 & 11 yrs) that stayed for three nights in early January 2017. The flat is in a great, quiet location, just outside of the walls (Monkbar) near York Minster and had also had car parking which was a bonus. It is a short walk to all the attractions in the city and there is Sainsbury's very close by to walk to. The flat itself was fantastic, homely, comfortable, good size and was even better than the pictures. There was a great view of York Minster from the living room which was great to look at whilst relaxing on the sofa. The flat was modern, clean and had everything we needed. Julia was great to deal with and although we didn't meet her, she had everything organised for us to get into the flat and made sure we settled in ok. The flat had free Wi-Fi with a good connection. There was even some provisions being milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. We loved York and wished we had a few more days, we certainly recommend this flat and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic

The apartment was just perfect. Very smartly decorated , with everything you would need in the kitchen.

Very clean, and the manager of the apartment was very friendly and helpful.

Location couldn't be better, and it was very nice and quiet.

I would recommend this apartment, and would certainly like to stay here again.

Bookings through contacting owner directly on mobile phone or email. To secure the selected dates a deposit of 25% of the holiday cost is required. The balance plus a £100 refundable breakages guarantee cheque is requested 4 weeks before the start of the holiday or on arrival.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day Fridays and Mondays but we can be flexible. Please vacate the property by 10am on day of departure and new arrivals will be welcomed after 3pm.
