The two bedroom en suite house is completely detached and situated in its own private road 2 minutes walk from the beach. The private road is opposite the Royal Pavillion Fairmount Hotel in St James. It is in a quiet, peaceful location within its own surroundings and small private gardens. The terrace to the rear of the house has its own private plunge pool and also table, chairs and sun loungers. The property is secure within private electric gates and private road. The front terrace has a comfortable chill out seating/sofa area to relax and also a dining area with dining table and chairs. There is air conditioning throughout the property in the bedrooms and also the living room and kitchen. There are large ceiling fans on the outside terrace above the seating and dining area.

Two minutes walk from the beach; St James is located on the West Coast of Barbados. Quiet peaceful beaches with no waves and calm crystal clear blue water.


Nearest airport is Grantley Adams International Airport which is 45 minutes by car. Car hire is recommended as the local supermarket is ten minutes by car from the house in Holetown. Although car is not needed to get to the beach.


Nearest town is Holetown which is ten minutes by car. Here you will find a variety of restaurants and bars and a supermarket. Holetown is known for its evening entertainment in first and second street with various lively bars and restaurants. Lime Grove shopping centre has just been built where you will find exclusive shops such as Hugo Boss. Speightstown is the other town following the road along the sea front which is twenty minutes by car. Bridgetown the main town is half an hour by car.

There are many places to visit in Barbados apart from the beach. These include the Barbados Animal Santuary, the East Coast which is stunning and 45 minutes by car, this really is the old Barbados and you can enjoy breathtaking views and deserted hidden beaches along with Bathsheba beach known for surfing with huge waves. Other places to visit are St Nicholas Abbey known for its rum making and the Abbey is an old plantation house to visit where you can learn the history, take a tour and also have some lunch and rum tasting of Barbados. The Harrison caves are in the middle of the island half an hour by car which are amazing for tourists to go and see. Barbados has a lot to offer alongside its beautiful white beaches and many attractions and places of interest.

Change over day is normally Tuesday's or Friday's but can be changed when the booking is made and is flexible. Should additional cleaning be required more than once per week this can be arranged when the booking is made at the expense of the guests.

To reserve the house we ask for 50% of the total amount due for your stay which is non-refundable and then the outstanding 50% to be made 4 weeks before your stay. All payments to be made by bank transfer. We also ask for a refundable deposit for damages (and excessive usage of air conditioning) which is $300 per week. We ask not to leave air conditioning running when guests are not in the house.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

  • Notes on accommodation: Property is suitable for the elderly. There are just 4 steps into the house and then it is all on one level and both showers are walk in showers. Children are also welcome. No pets allowed. Smoking outside only. Outside: Private terrace to the front of the property has a seating area and also a dining area. Two large ceiling fans are on the terrace. To the rear of the house is a private decking terrace with its own pool which is weekly maintained and cleaned and small garden area and table, chairs and sun loungers. There is also a BBQ. All the gardens and pool and terrace areas are private and the house is detached within a private road with gated community and electric gates for security. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The cleaner comes twice a week and towels and linen are included in the property. Linen and towels and changed every week. Cleaner can come in more on request at a cost.
