Welcome to Carr House, a luxurious contemporary detached 4 bedroom holiday home in the idyllic South Lakes market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Carr House benefits from a quiet cul-de-sac location, yet is only a 5 minute walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs of Kirkby Lonsdale and the River Lune. Immediately outside the property there is an area of patio and a large gravelled area providing ample parking for 3 to 4 cars. Please note that the property has not been affected by the recent flooding in the north of the country.
I live in Nottingham, England with my husband, daughter and cockerpoo dog, Brian. Over the past 5 years Kirkby Lonsdale has become our "home away from home". It really is the ideal place to get away from it all whilst retaining the convenience of top class dining and drinking experiences within easy walking distance. In addition to our passion for food and drink we both also love getting out and about - again Kirkby is perfect for this with plenty of local walks, running routes, cycling, canoeing and golf nearby. The South lakes is also only a short drive away.
After many visits to this lovely market town we finally took the plunge in 2014, purchasing Carr House as a second home. Not quite ready to move completely from the city we now split our time between Nottingham and Kirkby.

Booked to celebrate my daughters 30th made perfect due to weather and company! House was lovely comfortable socialable perfect for mixture of young grandchildren and adults easy walk into Kirkby didn't want to leave!
The fact that we stayed here 4 times last year, kind of says it all!
Our last trip here over the Xmas holidays was absolutely wonderful, and couldn't have been any more perfect for our young family.
The house is stunning...... everything you would ever need and more for a holiday.
The village (Kirkby Lonsdale) is picturesque, with an amazing selection of Pub's/Restaurants/Shops/Takeaways.
The Indian Restaurant is a particular favourite of ours.
Great base for exploring the Southern Lake District - Lake Windermere is 25 mins away.
But to be honest, we barely leave the village when we stay here.
Cannot recommend this house enough.
Beautiful house with a lovely, large south facing kitchen diner which was ideal for our group. It's only 5 mins walk from a supermarket to stock up on food, or 5 mins walk onto the high street. Large lounge area that has a balcony with table chairs. Spacious bedrooms with great showers and fluffy towels - ideal after a hard days walk! Absolutely recommend and will definitely come back..

Cannot believe how nice this house is, it's in the perfect location as its a 5 minute walk from the nearest town (Kirkby Lonsdale). I stayed there with my family for my mums birthday as she knows Zoe the owner! cannot recommend it enough! Thank you Zoe and Matt x x x x
We stayed at Carr House with my family 6 adults, 1 young teenager and 2 dogs for 1 week over New Year. The house is a fantastic layout and very well equipped for families, couples and dogs. The rooms where all immaculately clean, very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms.
The location of Carr House is also fantastic just a short stroll to the village and supermarket. Kirkby Lonsdale is lovely with lots of nice restaurants pubs and shops.
The owner of Carr House Zoe I cannot speak more highly of. She was very accommodating with anything we needed to ask her for, and a pleasure to deal with. I would love a return stay at Carr House! Thanks for everything Zoe xx

A 33% deposit is required on booking with the balance payable 4 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. If the booking is made less than 4 weeks before the start of the holiday then the full balance is due at the time of booking.
