Lovely comfortable quirky cottage

  • 5 of 5

We came for a weeks holiday with 3 kids and 3 dogs. A very accommodating cottage with plenty of room for us all. Wendy had emailed us previous to our arrival with hints on places to go/eat. Can highly recommend penrhos to walk dogs. Beautiful views too.

Nice little touches in the cottage, board games, DVDs and even some tennis rackets in the garden. Plenty of storage in each bedroom (and lots of coat hangers too!) very comfortable beds. We all slept like babies, even the dogs.

Many thanks Wendy

Thank You

Thank you Wendy. Very efficient booking process. Interesting traditional quirky cottage. Very warm during our stay during a very cold April. Great location for seeing the Island. Enclosed and lovely garden safe for dogs. We had a great time with our Daughter Son in law and 7 month old Granddaughter. Thank you for supplying and preparing the cot. Would definitely book again if the opportunity arises again in the future. Regards Paul.

Lovely cottage on a lovely island

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful location in one of the most accessible holiday destinations we've ever been to - Anglesey. The cottage was lovely. Plenty of space for us and our 2 Labradors. The garden was nice and secure, although we did have a little 'pond action' on the first night with our of our stupid dogs. The cottage has all the facilities you'd ever need and is comfortable and homely. The location is excellent for everything that Anglesey and North Wales has to offer. We were out and about every day and could have stayed for a month. Thanks Wendy for a great stay, and for being so easy to deal with.

Well thank you again and hope to see you on Anglesey again soon, Regards wendy and Paul Simpson

Great Cottage, Perfect Setting.

  • 5 of 5

Great cottage with everything you need. Warm and comfortable throughout, enjoyed having a log fire of an evening. Loved the new bathroom.

On arrival it was lovely to see the Christmas trees. Thanks Wendy for our anniversary card.

2 Border Collies enjoyed the large garden and it must be nice in summer to sit out in.

Centrally positioned to visit beaches, forests and all attractions on the island.

As a regular visitor to Anglesey this is one of the better cottages that we have stayed in and hope to be back again soon. Thanks Wendy for being so helpful.

Beautiful, spacious cottage in ideal location.

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a fabulous weeks break in this stunning cottage - we loved it so much we immediately booked to come again for our silver wedding anniversary in the summer! What an absolutely wonderful, spacious cottage, full of character, very tastefully decorated and furnished, set in large, beautiful, private gardens, in a very quiet setting and fabulous, central location which provides easy access to everywhere (and we went everywhere!). Throughout the weeks stay (end of December/beginning of January) we were never cold once; all the rooms are very spacious and well furnished, with each bedroom having plenty of storage facilities; and the parking availability is excellent.

We'd never stayed in Anglesey before, and as soon as I informed Wendy, the owner, of this, she absolutely went above and beyond to ensure we knew the best dog friendly beaches, restaurants and pubs; she recommended lots of places to visit and things to look out for (which proved invaluable, as we saw a pod of dolphins exactly where she recommended going, at the time of day she'd suggested!); even going as far as leaving us a map of the island with places highlighted or added, and where the nearest supermarkets, petrol stations, restaurants, pubs and takeaways were; absolutely fantastic. We explored the whole island with ease; and ventured over the Menai Bridge a couple of times as well - as the cottage is in such a central location, it's very easy to get just about everywhere.

The cottage is very clean, well-maintained, managed and cared for; it's very clearly a labour of love and pride for the owners.

Our 21 year old son is at University in Bangor - the whole reason for us going to Anglesey was to make sure we saw a little bit of him over the Christmas period (typical student who only comes home for a food parcel and to get his washing done). He shocked us by choosing to stay with us in the cottage for the whole week (absolutely amazing); and said it was one of the best holidays he'd had - he had no idea of the beautiful beaches and villages (and pubs) that have been just "over the bridge" from him for the past 2 years.

Thanks to Wendy's recommendations, we visited some wonderful places - Newborough Forest and Beach is an absolute must; and had some excellent meals with great views (the White Eagle, and Ship Inn).

I can't recommend the cottage highly enough; we can't wait to return in June. And Wendy is simply amazing - friendly, helpful; and nothing is too much trouble.

Owner's Response: Hi Lindsey and family, Thank you so much for your lovely review, it's great to hear that you all had a good week, that you were comfy and cosy in there. I cant believe the Dolphins were on call for you at the right time and place, I laughed out loud when I read it. Glad the places we suggested were good and you all enjoyed them. Thanks for your booking for your Silver Wedding anniversary I've ordered the sunshine in advance for you ha ha Thanks again, take care and will contact you nearer the time xx

Just perfect

  • 5 of 5

What a gem of a cottage. Such a cosy, welcoming and warm cottage... couldn't be better. It has everything you need and I can imagine in the summer what a delightful place to be. It's well placed to explore the island and we will certainly be returning. One an evening, we popped into Valley to buy a Chinese meal and another night Fish & Chips (diet went out of the window) but it just shows how close you are to amenities.

Wendy, the owner is more than helpful. It was a pleasure doing business with you Wendy, thank you.

Owner's Response: Hi Jayne, Nice to see you have done a review, thanks for your lovely words, it was a delight talking to you too, yes it is beautiful in the summer, my husband spent the day collecting leaves in the garden before you and your family arrived , the next morning I woke up and it was as if the green bin had reemptied itself on his lawn, poor chap. I wished for a gush of wind to take it all away for him, Thanks again for all your help when you left the cottage , it was a massive help. I'm here now doing some jobs, my 94 year old mother in law is enjoying the jigsaw you left, thank you. Well thank you again and hope to hear from you again soon Wendy and Paul Simpson
