Home from home! Extremely well equipped and comfortable. Excellent informative information on both the cottage and the surrounding areas. Loved the fact that there were games, books, dvd's etc. to keep you entertained on a rainy day

Perfect in every way! Highly Recommended.

  • 5 of 5

Wow, what a beautiful cottage in a very scenic part of the peak district! We absolutely loved our long weekend stay. The cottage was so cosy and homely with everything you could think of provided. The log burning fire was our particular favourite. And a perfect place to warm ourselves and the red wine!

So many lovely places to explore on the doorstep and slightly further afield. We managed trips to Alton towers, Bakewell, Buxton and Chatsworth house during our stay. Definitely recommend the ice cream shop in the village and the pub almost on the doorstep. Not to mention the chip shop which was also excellent.

All of the information in the welcome pack was very detailed and informative with great ideas of things to do. Very very highly recommended and we definitely want to return.

Thanks so much from Laura-Jane and Mark from Loughborough.

Great house in a beautiful village

  • 5 of 5

Me, my girlfriend and my parents stayed in this lovely property for three nights, and it suited our needs perfectly.

It is conveniently located next to a pub (that does incredible food - not just quality, but quantity too!), and is a short five minute walk from the very picturesque village of Bradwell. There is a pleasant 40 minute walk to Castleton, and a 10 minute drive to Mam Tor, on which we took a two hour circular walk. Stunning scenery, would definitely recommend.

The house is definitely on the small side, but it is still very manageable - the four of us didn't feel cramped at all. The only real complaint we had was that because the weather was so warm when we stayed, the attic bedroom was uncomfortably hot (even with the window open wide open), which made it a bit difficult to sleep. In the warmer months, a fan for the attic bedroom would definitely be a good addition.

Although we didn't meet Ivan personally, he has very friendly and helpful in all our correspondence. There's even a really helpful welcome pack that provides useful information about the surrounding area.

This is a very nice, well located property, and we would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings!

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned after a weeks long stay at the cottage. We used this as a base for traveling back and forth between Sheffield whilst my eldest son competed in Ponds Forge. From the moment we booked until the moment we left, we knew we were in safe hands! Communication between the owners is brilliant and the cottage more than lived up to our expectations. In a beautifully quaint location, this chocolate box cottage allowed our family to completely unwind and relax between busy swimming sessions. We really can't thank you enough and would definitely return!

What a little gem!

  • 5 of 5

Our little break in the Peaks was a last minute decision and as always my wife came up with the idea and did the research of places to stay. I have learnt that she is generally right on most things so when she said we should book 4 Cherry Tree cottage I agreed - and again she was spot on!

Situated in Bradwell we felt like we were in a little village right out in the countryside, but actually had really quite access to, well, everywhere in the Peaks! The village has a number of pubs, a chippy and a coffee shop, as well as a Co-op which we used for all the general foody bits we needed.

The cottage itself was really lovely, situated across three floors. I would describe it as small but perfectly formed! The living room was warm and snug, with a good TV, DVD and freesat. My one request when going away is a decent wifi connection, and this we had! It meant our boys could be kept quiet for longer on a morning with cartoon watched on the iPad from the 2nd floor.

Both bedrooms were really comfy too, and the bathroom had exactly what we needed. The kitchen had everything including a dishwasher. Outside there was a lock-up which we didn't make use of but would do if we return and bring our bikes.

Ivan the owner was a pleasure to deal with and was really friendly and helpful in the lead up to our stay and we would certainly consider staying again at Cherry Tree Cottage on our next trip to the Peaks.

Absolutely lovely cottage..

  • 5 of 5

I spent a short break away in this beautiful cottage.. Everything was perfect. From the fireplace to the heart pillows, the bedrooms and the kitchen. The area was also very nice with a traditional pub exactly next doors.

Perfect cosy get away in beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect cosy getaway in great location in the Peaks with good access to surrounding area and choice of local pubs. Everything you could need in the cottage. Well equipped kitchen, cosy, relaxing living room with wood burner and two comfy settees...home from home! Upstairs are two good size bedrooms and very comfy kingsize bed. Bathroom is small but plenty big enough and a great shower! Very clean property and stylishly furnished. Decent size yard at the back and good size shed which was perfect for storing our mountain bikes. Lots of good rides (and walks) straight from the cottage into the stunning surrounding countryside.

Varied choice of pubs in the village, the Desperate Dan Pie at the Olde Bowling Green pub just a few doors down is a must, and for finer dining and food to really get your taste buds going, the Samuel Fox is only a 10-15 minute walk from the cottage with a log fire and very friendly staff. Good facilities in village, local shop, Co-Op and great dele sandwich shop (sausage rolls with black pudding and onion marmalade are delicious).

Owners very easy to contact and can't do enough for you. Great place, great location...will definitely be returning!
