About the Owner
About carole barrett
My name is Carole, and I live in a delightful, quirky little 18c cottage, a mile and a half from Bath city centre. My family have lived here for 5 generations, and whilst I have traveled quite extensively around the globe, I appreciate how beautiful this city is, with its green hills, and grand mellow stone buildings. A wonderful place to live and visit.
I love to walk in the surrounding countryside here, and enjoy yoga, and swimming, and of course travel too. I have two daughters in Australia and two in the UK, so visiting them also keeps me busy!
Why carole barrett chose England
The cottage feels very calm and peaceful.
It is three 1700c cottage all rolled into one, with a later addition of 1805c facade. The garden is south west facing, and has a small and pretty lawn, with a refectory table for 8. Its interesting with lots of little rooms leading into one another.
What makes this cottage unique
The cottage is so close to Bath, on an airy hill above Bath, away from the traffic and noise, but only 1 and half miles from the centre. Its nice to walk down the hill into Bath, and maybe get the bus back which stops outside the cottage every half hour.
Its also just a few minutes walk from the beautiful surrounding countryside, and walks to local pubs , and networks with the canal a mile away.
It has the benefit of one or 2 local shops, pubs and deli.
Please note. Sorry unable to take hen parties.
