About the Owner

A family farm, once owned by the Caerhayes estate, and in the same family ownership for30 years . Ben and April have been running this unspoilt holiday property since then and have raised their family here.

It is close enough to the beach to walk there, but tucked away up a country lane so is quiet and very peaceful.

brilliant place, comfortable and warm, sea views, easy walk to the beach and coast path....friendly owners who are happy to help if needed and a short drive to the city of Truro for coffee, shopping, street buskers and eating out day and night

We love this area, it's natural beauty, the sea, the walks , and not just in the summer but all the seasons . It can be wild and wet, mild and balmy or deliciously frosty.......with flowers trees , ferns and all sorts of wild life ......shady groves, tumbling streams, majestic cliffs....it has it all........ Catch a bus or jump in the car and in 20 minutes you can be in the city... at the theatre, or shopping in one of the markets or maybe just sitting in a cafe' and soaking up the atmosphere......

There are two beaches at Portholland

The two beaches at Portholland are 1/2 mile walk down the valley there are other beaches nearby...Pendower Caerhayes...Carne


Truro and St Austell Train Station 12 miles away...regular bus services to within 1 mile of property


Pubs , restaurants , places of interest, ferries to Falmouth etc all within a 1/2 hour drive.....St Mawes....Portscatho...etc

  • Notes on accommodation: The Granary is self catering...with all facilities, and wonderful views over farmland to the sea. The Jingle House is a B&B , it has a lounge area with a TV and selection of dvd's a breakfast table and shower and loo.... breakfast is brought to you in the morning....to suit you..There is a sink, with hot and cold water, a micro-wave oven and 2 ring hob in case you want to stay in for a meal in the evening, plus a fridge, washing machine and tumble drier, these are in an adjacent shared utility room..this room also has books and games Outside: Plenty of garden space, visitors have use of all of the garden as well as their own private space.....there is a trampoline and swings for the children...and benches, tables, deck chairs, barbeques and lots of other garden features for visitors to enjoy including a glorious array of flowers plants and shrubs
