The apartment is part of a small complex situated in a peaceful area just away from the village centre, but within easy reach of all amenities. To the rear of the property is a small decking area, while the balcony at the front is the ideal spot to view village life and watch the sun go down over the mountains.

When the opportunity came in the year 2000 to visit my cousin who lives in the traditional French alpine village of Les Carroz, we came and fell in love with the area. By chance we looked at a property that seemed to 'find us' and have been spending as much time there as work will allow ever since.

Activity and Interests

Travel:

The traditional alpine village of Les Carroz is situated 10km from the A40, Autoroute Blanche and is midway between Geneva and Chamonix, in the Haute Savoie region of France. The village is situated at 1140m, and in winter, the liaison with other resorts of the Grand Massif offer a ski domain of 265 km of pistes, while in the summer, mountain lovers and sport enthusiasts will find Les Carroz an ideal holiday destination.

Cluses railway station is 20km away,

Geneva is the closest airport (1 hour away.) Annecy Airport is 60 km and there is Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport (2 hours) and Paris (5 hours).

Calais is about an 8 hours drive by car.

Further Details:

The village centre has 3 banks (2 with cash point), two supermarkets and various ski and bike equipment outlets, a Doctors and a Dentist. You will also find a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Larger supermarkets and retail outlets are situated in nearby Sallanches and Cluses in the valley. Its the perfect place to unwind and get away from it all in the family friendly village of Les Carroz. In winter, the main focus is on snow sports. All ski equipment and lift passes can be obtained from the village and a ski school is available if required. The Telecabine gives access to the Grand Massif network in liaison with Flaine, Morillon, Samoens and Sixt providing 265 km of pistes, with runs to suit all abilities. There are 15 black, 56 red, 41 blue and 13 green runs all served by 80 lifts. Within the Grand Massif, the higher resort of Flaine at 2500m is only a short drive away or ski from the Telecabine. During the summer months, either relax and take it easy or take advantage of the wealth of outdoor activities available locally, e.g. walking, climbing, parapente flights, mountain biking, canyonning and ballooning. The village has an outdoor pool and sports centre with free entertainment laid on in the village during peak season by the Tourist Office.The area also offers a wealth of natural history with alpine specialist bird, mammal and flora species. Activities near by include Bird Watching, Canyoning, Cycling, Hiking, Mountain biking, Paragliding, Photography, Rambling, Rock climbing, Sightseeing, Skiing, Snowboarding, Swimming, Tennis, Via Ferrata, Walking, White water rafting or just relax!

Prices are for 7 nights, additional nights are pro-rata, there are no under occupancy fees and prices are for the apartment not per person.
Letting's during the winter months, December - March are strictly Saturday to Saturday, but are more flexible April - November. Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday with the accommodation is available from 2pm, and should be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

Prices are in Pounds a £50 booking deposit is required. The balance along with a £100 damage deposit is required 6 weeks before arrival. Our bookings run from Saturday to Saturday.
