We have lived on this beautiful coastal farm for over 20 years. Rachel grew up in the area and went to school here and Chris moved down from Oxfordshire to farm here 30 years ago. We have been offering B&B and self-catering holidays for over 30 years and we love to share this wonderful location with our guests.

Idyllic - didn't want to leave

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was in a gorgeous spot for watching the sunset with a glass of wine. It was also well-equipped and comfy.

Unique and amazing accommodation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 5 nights in this outstanding cabin. Absolutely beautiful location, easy to find, we watched amazing sunsets over the sea every evening and enjoyed relaxing on the decking. Secluded, yet with great access to the farm and ideal for walking in the beautiful countryside and cliff walks. Even exciting for watching a storm over the sea and the night sky full of stars.

The cabin is very comfortable and well equipped for cooking or BBQ. I would highly recommend this unique, immaculate and state of the art cabin. Our hosts Rachel and Chris gave help and advice about the area. The beauty of this peaceful place is beyond description.

We had a lovely time

  • 5 of 5

We booked a weekend in the cabin at Tresmorn farm without really knowing what to expect (the place was, for example, free for the whole of August). It turned out that we were the first guests in Chris and Rachel's newly built wood cabin.

The cabin is located in a field off the farm with the only neighbours being a large herd of cows. It is extremely well appointed, having a small kitchen with all the usual appliances and crockery, a shower room and a large and rather luxurious bedroom with fantastic views out across the cliffs. Although advertised as 'off grid', luckily it had a USB charger so it was possible to remain in contact with the outside world.

Its hard to express how idyllic the setting of the cabin is - the views are fantastic and the only sounds are from the wind and the animals on the farm, and rain falling on the roof at night. It was lovely having breakfast outside in the early morning near the animals! (though I should add that they were safely behind an electrified fence) The only slight problem was that it was quite hard to find, though this was probably more a reflection of our own incompetence. In terms of accommodation, the cabin was extremely comfortable. Chris was very courteous, asking if everything was working properly as we were the first guests.

We had a wonderful time at the farm and will certainly be back soon. The photos here really don't do it justice. The only problem being that it almost certainly won't be so free this time next year.

Car: recommended

The cliffs are just a few minute stroll from the Cabin.

If you are feeling nimble you can scramble down to the small beach at Butterfly valley which you can have to yourself even in August.

The beach at Crackington Haven is just 2 miles away. 5 minutes in the car or an hour's stroll across the cliffs. There are 2 good cafes, a Pub, and public toilets.
