Located at the prestigious north end of Anna Maria, Blue Waters is a beautiful private resort-style villa, just minutes walk from the stunning white sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island and a few blocks away from the individual shops, restaurants and bars of Pine Avenue. This luxurious four bedroom four bathroom property, situated on a quiet residential street, offers a lovely canal view, private dock with boat lift and easy access to the intra-coastal waterway.

An oversized heated pool featuring a shallow water lounge and heated spa is perfect for relaxing as you admire your surroundings. Offering the best of both outdoor and indoor contemporary living, the landscaped back yard has a poolside lanai and terrace with upscale loungers and umbrellas, a giant-sized hammock, dining table seating eight and a large flat screen TV. Cook out on the Weber gas grill/barbecue or relax on the swinging seat which hangs in the shady branches of the magnificent Rosewood tree. The poolside office will allow you to catch up on any pressing business matters before enjoying the rest of your day at the pool. Extending the entire length of the back of the home is a fabulous second floor balcony equipped with rocking chairs, sofas and a small table, ideal for breakfast or an evening glass of wine, watching the sunset and local wildlife.

Blue Waters' light and airy interiors will also delight you. The attention to detail has created a spacious, superbly appointed home away from home. For those who love to cook, the fully equipped chef's kitchen includes KitchenAid professional grade appliances and a six burner cooktop inlaid in a large granite island with wine fridge. A convenient laundry room houses the full size Maytag washing machine and Maytag dryer.

An abundance of French doors throughout the home, with every bedroom having its own entry to the outdoors, makes each suite feel like a private oasis. Two extra large living areas provide plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy themselves. These boast top of the range furnishings, beautiful tiled and wood floors, large flat screen TV's, DVD players, a music and speaker system allowing listening throughout the house and there is even a full sized pool table. High speed internet, cable TV and flat screen televisions in every room complete the entertainment experience for guests.

Superbly located and meticulously maintained, Blue Waters sleeps eight in the comfort and privacy of their own bedroom suites. It has a two vehicle garage, plenty of guest parking and bringing your own boat is easy with the private dock and lift.

PLEASE NOTE: Not suitable for children under five. The pool is unfenced and our rear garden backs straight onto a canal, which is again unfenced. This is great in a lot of respects as we have a lovely view and you can kayak straight from our dock. However, it could be dangerous for a very young child if they fell in and were unable to swim. Parents therefore need to be aware of the potential risk to small children/non-swimmers at our property.

Wonderful pool.

30th Anniversary Vacation

Booked house though VRBO - particulars handled by Island Real Estate, Anna Maria. All aspects of booking and lease documents were handled timely and professionally. House was exactly what was expected and portrayed in listing. Simple check in and check out procedure. House was clean on arrival. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and a wagon were included for the beach which was a 5 minute walk straight up the street with a cross walk. The internet wi/fi connection was flawless. Upstairs the pool table, sitting area, balcony, and wet bar were all excellent and fully functional. The unit was walking distance to a good number of restaurants and a few short blocks to Pine - which is the downtown areas with shops and more restaurants. We especially enjoyed watching the Daytona 500 on the outdoor flat screen while cooling off in the pool, as well as catching the sunset over the canal from the spa. Another nice feature is the mangrove across the canal - blocking the home across the way - it makes the backyard quite private. It also comes with a floating dock for kayaks and a boat lift. If you have a family event or occasion - we would definitely recommend checking out 230 Willow.

Wow, just wow!

We were fortunate enough to enjoy a perfectly relaxing time at Blue Waters for 11 fabulous days, following a hectic short break in Orlando staying at the Universal Studios Portofino Bay Hotel. No matter how good the hotel was, it couldn't compete with the special style and luxury of this wonderful villa. It's obviously been lovingly designed and furnished by the owners to an exceptionally high standard, creating a pristine and supremely comfortable home from home.

It's ideally located in the north of Anna Maria, just minutes walk from the beach. We were able to stroll down to the squeaky fine sands, towing the beach cart with four chairs most evenings to enjoy the spectacular sunsets and dive-bombing gulls, splashing into the ocean in search of fish.

The villa is close to a wide range of fine shops and restaurants, again within easy walking distance - or via the convenient free trolley bus which we were able to catch at the end of the avenue to take us down to the City Pier.

But if you really want to chill out, there's no need to look any further than the gorgeous back yard and patio. There are lots of lovely sun-drenched or shaded positions set around the magnificent pool - and the heated spa was a very popular spot for a relaxing or invigorating session.

The TV, sound system and indeed all the appliances are high spec - and the soft furnishings are fresh and classy. But it was difficult to resist the outdoor charms of the villa and so the vast majority of our waking hours were spent under the sun or stars, with many evenings enjoying a glass or three of wine on the private upper balcony.

With the canal running right at the rear of the property, we just had to make the most of its proximity, so we rented a tandem kayak from Beach Bums on Pine Avenue for a couple of days and had a fantastic time paddling across Bimini Bay and out into the gulf, right from the back door!

Big thanks to Caroline and Reg for letting us stay, we made some wonderful memories at Blue Waters. Don't think twice about renting this property, you'll simply love it.

Spectacular home and a perfect vacation!

We were on Anna Maria Island for a family wedding and could not have found a better place to stay for the week. Everything about the house was perfect for our entire family. The kitchen is a dream to cook in and made cooking dinner for extended family a breeze. The beds were all very comfortable and the living room was a great place to hang out and catch up with everyone.

We spent a lot of time hanging out in and around the pool as well as on the beach. The only small complaint we had was the inability to use the beach wagon in the garage, but we rented one from Beach Bums when we rented bicycles. We also rented kayaks and had a wonderful time paddling out into the bay. We didn't see any manatees until we were almost back in front of the house when one swam right under us! The second trip out we saw dolphins and another manatee. The little ones had a great time sitting on the dock watching for manatees.

We really appreciated the binder with all restaurant suggestions and were able to walk down to the Sand Bar for the wedding. We also appreciated the flexibility of being able to rent Sunday to Sunday as most rentals require Saturday to Saturday which isn't very convenient when a wedding is on a Saturday evening.

We were impressed by the responsiveness of Island Realty when we called with one small issue - they followed up twice to make sure it was taken care of. Several other extended family members remarked what a special house we found and I wouldn't be surprised if one of them rented Blue Waters in the future. Thank you for a wonderful house and a wonderful week on AMI!

Being on a canal and so close to the beach is great for both children and adults - you were really lucky to see a couple of manatees, they can be very hard to spot. We have taken note of your comment about the beach wagon and will get this replaced, so thank you for flagging this up. We offer flexible start days rather than Saturday to Saturday bookings, as we understand that for a lot of people their stay at our property often has to fit in with other plans, such as a wedding or visiting the theme parks in Orlando. We were also pleased to hear that Island Real Estate had been so responsive in dealing with your issue. They have their own maintenance team and a 24/7 guest relations service, so that if anything does go wrong, they are able to deal with it quickly.

A beautiful holiday home that will surely impress

"I had the pleasure of staying at Blue Waters for 10 days and had a fantastic experience. The house offers everything that one could possibly ask for. The kitchen/lounge is beautifully open planned and ideal for social purposes. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is a great size and has everything you need. The bedrooms are a good size and as I was staying upstairs, I enjoyed stretching my legs on the balcony that stretched the width of the house and gave me great views of the pool and the lake out back, a great way to start the morning. Entertainment is clearly paramount and the pool table, several flat screen TVs, sound system with speakers all round the house were ideal for when indoors. On top of this, the pool and jacuzzi got a lot of use and has a great bbq out back. The lake gave us the chance to fish off the back and the house has two kayaks which we made good use of to boot. As far as location goes, it is situated on a nice quiet residential road but only moments from quite a few restaurants and bars as well as Pine Avenue. To make the best use of this, we hired bicycles for the trip and was able to cycle pretty much anywhere on the island within 5-10 minutes, this includes both piers and the beach is even closer. All in all, the trip was thoroughly enjoyable and looking at some of the other properties, I personally didn't see any better than this and will definitely be returning and staying again. "

Hiring bikes is a great way to get around the island - you can even put them on the front of the free trolley bus which runs the length of the island if you have had enough cycling for one day. Blue Waters location also does really mean that you are not too far from many of the main attractions of Anna Maria; great beaches, restaurants and individual shops. Very upscale, well appointed, luxury home.

This well appointed home is like something out of HGTV with high end furniture, appliances, and kitchen ware. The home has several large flat screen TVs and an integrated sound system. The game room, beautifully furnished lanai, pool and hot tub cannot be beat. You can fish in the intercostal behind the home or on one of three island piers. Many restaurants are within a short walk. The neighborhood is very quiet. A fantastic property for a luxurious vacation!

Coast/Beach:

5 minutes walk. Beaches are beautiful white sand & many different types of shell can be found. All beaches on the island are public, although not all have car parks. A lot of people hire bikes or golf buggies to get around or use the free island trolley bus, which stops at the end of Willow Avenue.

Travel:

Car hire recommended. Nearest airport is Tampa International, which is 35 miles away (about an hour's drive). Alternatively you can fly into Orlando or Miami.

Distances:

Shops and restaurants on and surrounding Pine Avenue are 5 blocks away. The whole island is only 7 miles long so nowhere is very far away and it is joined to the mainland by two toll-free bridges. The historic Rod & Reel and City Peers are 5 minutes & 2 minutes drive away respectively and the whole island is filled with interesting shops, restaurants and bars. Sarasota with its ballet, theatre, opera, shops and restaurants is about 14 miles away.
