Casa Hiraeth has been sympathetically and beautifully renovated and expanded over the past few years, giving it all the modern conveniences that you would expect. Casa Hiraeth is built around a traditional inner courtyard, which gets the morning sun, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Off the courtyard is a stunning and completely private swimming pool and multiple terraces with uninterrupted views over the hills, perfect for watching the glorious sunsets. One of the terraces is equipped with a relaxing outdoor lounge seating area with fireplace, kitchenette, BBQ and dining area, perfect for evening al fresco dining. Another terrace has a Moroccan style covered seating area, ideal for secluded and shaded outdoor dining. Both patios are equipped for year round use with lighting, fires, Wi-Fi and power.

The variety of terraces allow for ease of experiencing the typically Spanish outdoor-living lifestyle. The house also benefits from a large open-plan kitchen-dinner with snug/lounge area and wood burner for the cooler months and beautiful distant views of the undulating countryside. There is also a comfortable lounge with wood burner for cosy winter evenings. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with large ensuite, which overlooks the rolling hills and olive groves. There are two other smaller bedrooms, one double and one twin, which both share a family shower room. All bedrooms come equipped with air-conditioning for those warm summer nights.

Additional facilities include an office area with WiFi, PC & printer, which enables the ability to work remotely. Throughout Casa Hiraeth, there is an abundance of traditional Andalucian characteristics, which add to its authentic and individual charm, along with those necessary modern trappings that we all need. There is a secure driveway and parking area sufficient for two vehicles.

About the Owner

We both mainly work in the UK and as our jobs are mainly computer based, we are lucky that when time allows, we can escape the hustle and bustle of city living and escape to our holiday home retreat, working from our office area in Casa Hiraeth.

We also have three teenage daughters, who also thoroughly enjoy the activities available in the surrounding area, which includes cycling, strolling through olive groves, kayaking on Lake Iznajar, and even skiing in the Sierra Nevada’s mountains during winter months.

A beautiful home in a sleepy village

This property has everything you need for a relaxing break. It's located in a small friendly mountain village with easy access by car. The house has been maintained to a high standard and has some beautiful features inside and out. The facilities and equipment are 5* and wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future.

Stunning property, beautifully maintained.

A beautifull villa in a stunning location.

Very comfortabale and you can tell that this is not just a holiday let but someones home that they make plenty of use of.

6 of us stayed, parents and grown up sons with partners, lots of room inside and out for us all to have are own space when needed.

So many areas to relax along with the well maintained pool.

The gas BBQ was well used on the top level of the villa, stunning sunset views as you eat and drink into the night

A very short walk to the local bar/restaurant that was of a very high standard, especially considering the village is quite remote.

Local agents were very helpful and easy to contact.

The steps could be a problem if you have very young children but this is a minor point.

Would recommend to everyone we know and have no hesitation in returning.

Beautiful property with everything you could want

The house was easy to find and in a beautiful location with excellent views. It was much bigger than we imagined, with lots of rooms leading into other rooms. It is a home from home, as everything has been thought about. If you want to cook there are all the things you need, from spices to tin foil. Apart from food to eat, we did not have to buy anything else which we have had to at other properties we have rented before.

The wifi was really good and worked everywhere and it was great to have use of a computer too. The pool area and the pool itself were very clean and the water was not full of chemicals.

We loved the little enclosed patio area off the main floor, which was very private and intimate.

Another bonus for us was that we could walk to the local restaurant, only one minute away and eat without worrying about driving. Overall a relaxing, luxury property with everything you could want.

Tastefully decorated in keeping with the area with everything provided one could wish for.

The villa absolutely made our holiday. It was a delight to relax in and come back to after a days sight seeing, with charming balconies for every part of the day. Somewhere for everyone to escape and relax too. Beautifully decorated and everything provided to make one's stay easy and enjoyable.

Unique and home from home

We have recently returned from a lovely holiday in Casa Hiraeth. The downside? Having to leave!

Alun and Rachael were extremely helpful, organised and always very prompt in supplying relevant information and answering any queries we had.

We were met at the house by local agents Del and Chris who again were very friendly and helpful.

The house itself is beautifully furnished, decorated and was very clean on our arrival. It is really homely with everything that you may require having been thought about and readily available. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is air conditioning in all 3 bedrooms.

The three outside seating areas are perfect with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside visible from the middle and upper terraces. These all have sun at various times during the day and evening. We had many very successful barbecues on the top terrace and made full use of the outside kitchen - the fridge being particularly useful.

The photos and description of the property are exactly how it is.

We would be happy to recommend this property and would also gladly return.

Quirky and characterful home

We spent an enjoyable week in this spacious, well equipped and delightfully renovated property which is well situated for exploring the surrounding villages and towns including Cordoba. The owners have very much put their their personal touch on the property in terms of furnishings and it feels much more homely than the typical holiday rental.

The house has a spacious kitchen/dining/living area with all the kitchen equipment, crockery and pans one would need on holiday including a cool bag although we did not realise this and brought our own. The main sitting room is tastefully furnished with comfortable sofas and has both a TV and sound system. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and the master bedroom has a large en-suite with separate shower.

The outside space includes several sitting areas and terraces catching sun at different times of the day. The views from the mid level terrace in the evening are wonderful. There is also parking for at least 2 cars although the garage is not accessible for guests.

A washing machine, washing line, pegs, airer, iron & ironing board are all provided in the outside laundry room

There is a small supermarket across the road selling basics, but not fresh milk, and a friendly local bar which serves a good steak 100 yards away.

The local agents, Del & Chris, met us on arrival and were very helpful in terms of showing us round the house and providing local information.

Overall an excellent choice both in terms of the property itself and its idyllic location.

We searched a long time and were delight to find such a beautiful traditional Spanish house in this ideal location with stunning views. Casa Hireath is unique because it is on the edge of the very friendly village called Fuente Del Conde, which has a supermarket perfect for freshly baked bread in the mornings and Antonio’s bar and restaurant, which serves fabulous Andalusian cuisine. The village is set within the undulating countryside with views of olive groves and close to the Moorish town of Iznajar with its stunning lake, beach, beach bar/restaurant and water sports facilities. Being centrally located, we all enjoy day trips visiting the historical and cultural cities of Cordoba, Granada, Seville, Malaga and the Costa del Sol. Fast rail links even make a trip to Madrid possible!

Malaga and the many beaches of the Costa del Sol takes only 50 minutes approx. by car


The airports of Malaga and Granada are both approximately 50 minutes away by car.

There are also fast rail links about 30 minutes away from Fuente Del Conde, giving access to all Malaga, Granada and other major Spanish cities.

Casa Hireath being a traditional Spanish house is built on the hillside, so has a variety of terraces with views of the rolling hills, perfect for a relaxing drink and watching the fabulous sunsets. My favourite spot is the top terrace in the early morning sun with a cup of tea enjoying the glorious views. There is also a private internal courtyard, ideal for alfresco breakfasts. Family breakfasts can also be enjoyed in the large open plan kitchen-diner overlooking the olive groves, and with the shuttered windows wide open so benefiting from the cooling breeze. The stunning large swimming pool is perfect for a cooling dip, and with it being lit we also enjoy midnight swims! In the evenings or winter nights the cosy lounge with wood burner is a great place to relax with the whole family
