About the Owner

My husband Richard and I work and live in Devon. We run two successful holiday homes this one in Devon and the other in Dorset. After renting many holiday homes ourselves over the years with our family, we wanted to provide high quality, comfortable and cosy, character cottages for our guests.

Our beds have memory foam sprung mattresses as we feel that having a comfortable bed is very important for our guests relaxation!

Dear Gill and Richard

We have really enjoyed our stay in your pretty and well appointed cottage. As we stayed for a month, waiting for the arrival of our first grandchild, we feel we would have discovered any pitfalls. There are none! Superb!

Very best wishes

Ann and Bill (Llandinam, Powys)

We had a lovely time here in Kenton and quickly realised what a friendly village it is. We have had a couple of sunny days and enjoyed sitting outside in front of the kitchen and resting. We also enjoyed a day out at Oddicombe Beach where they have a cliff railway.

The cottage itself is home from home. Very clean and beautifully furnished. ( we watched the DVD!) thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage x

Although only a short 4 night stay, we had a wonderful relaxing stopover in this gorgeous cottage. Thank you. It was spotless and had every need catered for! All those little things and thoughts are what gives this holiday home the "wow" factor, of course along with its excellent finish and fantastic decor. We loved it and hope to be back sometime in future.

Thanks again.

Joanne and Allan Wood. We love Kenton too!

Hi Gill

I just wanted to tell you how much me and my daughter enjoyed staying in your lovely cottage last weekend. The cottage is beautiful, cosy and comfortable. We really couldn't fault it and had a great weekend. You've done a brilliant job!

Best wishes

Location

From the Owner

We bought Primrose Cottage at auction and by doing so the property appeared on BBC's Homes Under The Hammer Series. The property was in a very sorry state and we worked very long hours to completely renovate it to the luxury home it is today. We have tried to retain much of the Victorian character in this Grade 2 listed property, but have installed contemporary design features and high quality fittings and furnishings to make it comfortable and welcoming for our guests. A CD of the programme and the renovations is available to view at the cottage. The cottage has received a Gold Star award from Visit Britain and is currently rated as 4 star. The position of the cottage in the middle of Kenton is ideal for the glorious beaches, Dartmoor, Exeter and the ferry to Exmouth.
