Why Daniella Fowler chose South East Cornwall

We have always wanted a house in Cornwall, walks along the beach with the children, fish & chips by the sea followed by a local beer or cider.

In October 2013 we decided to make it a reality and started our search for a property, Looe was the first village we looked at and we all fell in love with its warmth and character.

Modern and superbly equipped apartment on 2 floors

We were in Looe for a week of sailing. The apartment was perfect for us with 2 bedrooms and a spacious shower room on the lower floor and a large living room and open plan kitchen above. All modern features, but tastefully done to fit in with the traditional style of the building. It was great to have a washing machine so that we could clean and dry clothing for the next days sailing. Right in the centre of East Looe and close to beach, sailing club and resturants.

Fantastic property and a very enjoyable holiday

What a find! This property is an amazing apartment spread over two levels and has been finished to a very high standard with all the required accessories and more. The apartment is located right in the heart of Looe and is perfect for a holiday spent on the beach and crab fishing with the kids. There are loads of restaurants and shops nearby to visit. We were also blessed with a full week of Sun!

The description on the listing is accurate and the property is clean, comfortable and well-maintained.

Due to the nature of Looe, there is no local parking but we managed to unload near the apartment and parked the car in the large car park for £38.00 on the outskirts Looe only 10 minute's walk from the apartment. As everything is located conveniently near the apartment this was not an issue and in some ways enhanced the holiday by not having to use the car.

Many thanks to Daniella and her family for allowing us to stay and have a wonderful week. We will hopefully be back next year and would certainly recommend to family and friends!

Great location

Excellent location and furnished to high spec. Loved it and will look it up next time i visit Looe.

Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. Went with a 12 month year old son and a 83 year old mother. Mother struggled a little with the stairs. Baby ok so long as dont mind lugging the pram up the stairs.

We have stayed in Looe many times before but further out of the town. This apartment is in a great location right in the heart of things. My daughter and I had a wonderful week wandering around the shops and eating in some fantastic restaurants. The apartment is very modern; we loved the decor but its also comfortable. Thank you Danielle, we hope to be able to return soon.

Within 1 minutes walk away from Looe's sandy beach and rock pools


The closest airport is Plymouth 25 miles away, Plymouth Port is 20 miles away. Looe railway station is a 7 minutes walk away.

Pay and display car parking is available within walking distance.


Polperro is 11 minutes drive away, Plymouth 42 minutes drive. There numerous are attractions with easy reach of the property to name a few The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Further Details:

The historic twin towns of East and West Looe provide you with safe beaches, a wide choice of restaurants, excellent walking routes, fishing trips, diving, culture and history. Wake up in the morning to the cry of the gulls and catch the sun rising over the bay. West Looe can be reached by a passenger ferryboat when the tide is in or can be reached by a stroll across the seven arch 19th century bridge. A long history as a port and fishing village Looe has plenty of pubs in which to spend an enjoyable evening soaking up the atmosphere. A quiet pint in a slate floored, low beamed bar or an up-tempo night with live entertainment, with one of the largest fishing fleets on the Cornish coast this means that the fish you eat in the many good restaurants is as fresh as you can get, fish and chips whilst sat on the quayside or sample a filling Cornish pasty from one of several traditional local bakers, and no holiday beside the sea would be complete without an ice cream and in Looe they have award winning ice creams in a multitude of flavours to suit both young and old alike.
