A fabulous contemporary apartment with all mod cons only 5 mins walk from the harbour.

We had a very pleasant 4 days staying in the White House Apartment while exploring the Mevagissey area. The Apartment was comfortable, warm and had everything you need for a holiday home. All in all an excellent find.

Great location with parking, outside eating area. Very light and airy in all rooms. Quality and very tasteful furnishings, plenty of seating, fast wifi, very well-equipped kitchen with coffee machine, oven dishes and plenty of crockery and cutlery (loved the wine storage!). Very comfortable beds with quilts. Spotlessly clean. Great showers and towels smelled lovely! It was perfect! Thank you!

Beautiful clean and warm

Lorraine was very helpful, the apartment was great. Very comfortable everything we needed. Just a short walk down the hill to the town. Much easier than trying to park in the village.

Had a great new year our favourite pub was The fountain and Salamander for a gorgeous meal. Coastal walks are amazing

Beautiful ground floor 2 bedroom apartment

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful stay in this fully furnished and beautifully updated apartment in Megavissey. Megavissey is a charming fishing village that is centrally located to all of Cornwall. Upon our arrival the unit was spotlessly clean and the owner Lorraine thoughtfully provided us a supply coffee and scones the morning following our late arrival the prior day. The unit is located across the street from access to the Costal Trail and thankfully at the top of the hill as you enter the village for those of us that find the driving challenging in these small villages!

Further Details:

Narrow streets and steep valley sides lead down to the centre of old Mevagissey where the distinctive twin harbour provides a safe haven for the many fishing boats that land their daily catch of skate, lobster, plaice and sole. In typical picture postcard style, pubs, cafes, galleries and shops cluster around the harbour walls and line the pretty streets.

Named after two Irish saints, St Meva and St Issey, the village dates back to at least 1313 and during the 1800s Mevagissey prospered on the back of the abundant source of pilchards out to sea. Around the maze of streets you’ll find plenty of seafood restaurants and there is nothing more sublimely Cornish than tucking into some local scallops or mackerel and ending the evening with a walk along the harbour wall with lights of the village twinkling on the water.

Nearby are The Lost Gardens of Heligan which underwent a famous restoration after decades of neglect and now brims with an amazing array of sub- tropical flowers, trees and plants and the Pentewan trail, an easy-going 5 mile round trip from the beach at Pentewan to the village of London Apprentice and back. The trail runs along the bed of an old narrow gauge railway which once took clay and tin ore to the harbour at Pentewan until it silted up and the railway ceased operation in 1916
