A wonderful stay in a hidden gem!

  • 5 of 5

Bay Tree has everything you could possibly need! The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully presented (the attention to detail is fantastic) with some lovely finishing touches (cream tea and fresh flowers upon arrival).

The garden is fabulous! Having the outside entrance is perfect for wet surf boards and dogs!

The Cottage is perfectly located in the village, everything you need is very close by and the shops and amenities are well stocked.

Thank you to Jill and Zoe for a wonderful stay. From the first enquiry to arriving, you have been brilliant. Very un-intrusive and laid back.

Hartland is wonderful, the Quay is just spectacular! A great location for both the Devon and North Cornish surf spots! Looking forward to returning again soon.

Luxury holiday

  • 5 of 5

Well there isn't much to say about Bay Tree Cottage apart from fabulous. Brilliant base for a walking holiday, many walks straight from the door in a forgotten part of North Devon.

Arrived to a beautiful cream tea, which we ate in the sechuled suntrap garden.

Thank you Jill for making our holiday perfect from booking to leaving.

Well worth a visit

A hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

The pictures on the website really don't do this cottage the credit that it's worth. It is an absolute hidden gem.

We arrived to find a cream tea awaiting us, and a pint of milk in the fridge for us, all these little extra's really added to the holiday.

Hartland is a great central point to be based if you want to explore both Devon and Cornwall.

Highly reccommend it to anyone who is looking for a great week away in a beautiful part of the UK.

Thanks to Jill for the welcome we received.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Outside: You can enter the garden either from the kitchen or directly via a separate second entrance. Once in the garden you will find a gravelled area with garden furniture and a Bar B Q and an unusual curved seat for at least 20! Above this area is a small lawned slope which continues around the back of the property. Bay Tree is the only property in Fore Street to have a garden to the side and therefore be able to take advantage of being south facing. A real sun trap and secluded too. Utility Room: Our utility room aka the boot room/buggy park/bike shed/surf store! It's a great space which can be accessed from the kitchen or via the second entrance through the courtyard. It has a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and has great storage space. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. We always leave a generous supply of household essentials and non essential treats! Other: The dining area flows from the kitchen and has a table and six chairs.
