About Amanda and Peter Wise

For many years our family sought a sunny holiday home that we would wish to visit again and again. We travelled widely and in 2006 finally discovered Aphrodite Hills and bought this property off-plan.

The Penthouse was originally intended to be two properties but we redesigned it to be one huge "Villa in the Sky" - a villa sized property with a huge living and dining space for open plan family living, and fantastic panoramic views across the sea, mountain ravines and the resort itself.

Our two daughters who were small at the time have loved coming here again and again, now as teenagers almost ready to leave home they bring friends to stay with us and those friends in turn are excited to return again and again.

In future we hope to spend ever more time here ourselves :-).

The property was finally ready in 2008 and we were thrilled to take delivery after 2 years watching it develop - there's a photo book in the Penthouse showing this process!

We chose Aphrodite Hills for the luxury and quality of the facilities on offer, and we chose Cyprus as it has such a lovely long season. You can reliably holiday in Cyprus almost all year round - certainly swimming in the sea right through from Easter to the end of October and many swim here all year round.

This location is wonderful for families and groups of friends alike. We have happily let our daughters scoot up to the shops and the fantastic play area in the resort centre without us and the close proximity of all facilities mean you can swim, golf, tennis, spa, shop or eat and drink without using a car at al

This property offers THE biggest living / dining area of any property on the resort, the most choices of sunbathing position, sun or shade and the closest proximity to the resort centre with all its facilities.

It is moments walk to two fantastic separate and beautifully landscaped pool areas so you can always choose company or quiet.

The Penthouse also offers a wonderful spot for sunset lovers - either sitting on the sofa with a sundowner or bubbling away in the private Jacuzzi as you watch the sun slide into the sea.

Notes on accommodation: This extremely popular Penthouse apartment at Aphrodite Hills offers large and versatile accommodation with every modern convenience. Being our own holiday home it is equipped to a higher standard than typical rental properties. The property has full air conditioning and plenty of doors and windows to allow natural ventilation as well. There are 3 double/twin bedrooms and 3 shower rooms all with private showers and WCs, one of which is en-suite to the master with a separate bath. Each bedroom has generous built-in storage plus tables for books and treasures and direct access to its own terrace taking advantage of the elevated position affording spectacular views. The property is entirely on the first floor with safely contained terraces so is ideal for a family with children who may otherwise wander. It is also the most spacious property available on one floor so for those who don't want internal steps it offers great flexibility. Outside: The Penthouse offers elevated views across adjacent gardens and 5 private terraces, one covered, each with lounging and/or dining furniture. There is a gas BBQ on one terrace and our private hot tub on another. Three of the terraces including the largest offer sea views. Utility Room: Airer to dry clothes, steam iron, ironing board, pegs and lingerie hangers. Airer can be set up on a lockable, covered, open terrace which can also be used to store golf clubs, bicycles, tennis gear, wet swimming and diving equipment, lilos etc Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen plus hand, bath and beach towels are provided. For stays of 10 days or more a mid-stay clean is offered free of charge on request. Further cleans can be arranged at additional cost if required. Other: There are 5 terraces so you can choose sun or shade at any time of day and a variety of sea, mountain and village views. There is a selection of comfy loungers for sunbathing and two outdoor dining tables and chairs offering a choice of dining spots!

Beautiful apartment in elevated position overlooking the Mediterranean

The apartment is spacious, well appointed and the balcony is bathed in sunshine all day. The location of the apartment is close to the main square which has a small supermarket, cafe, restaurants and wonderful Retreat Spa

Amazing Penthouse, you will not be disappointed

I was delighted to book the Penthouse, it looked amazing on the photo's and certainly didn't disappoint. This was our second visit to Aphrodite Hills with our two young children and Grandparents. The Penthouse is huge and they have thought of everything you may possibly need to use during your stay! The grandparents were able to enjoy their own wing of the apartment whilst we had the other 2 bedrooms at the other end and a balcony out to the hot tub! Even in August the hot tub was nice to enjoy in the evenings!! The communal pool is a short stroll away, it's so relaxing and never a issue with finding a sunbed! This was perfect for our 6 and 3 year old, very safe and they made friends with the other children. Amanda was amazing to deal with and the whole process of booking etc was so easy. I would also recommend Rocky from very professional pickup and car seats provided for the children.

Beautiful apartment with amazing views and facilities

The apartment did not disappoint in any way. Beautiful location and exceptionally well equipped. Very close to a lovely pool area and great facilities within Aphrodite Hills resort.

A very friendly welcome from Graham with a thorough explanation of the various facilities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the stunning 'villa in the sky'.

Superb views from balconies in all directions..!

This is one of those "must do" apartments if you get the chance, better than a villa. It has an excellent large open plan kitchen, dining and living area, with multiple balcony terraces to use depending on the time of day, or what you are doing. Conveniently located from Paphos Airport and well positioned for exploring other parts of Cyprus. It is light and airy, with fabulous South Westerly views of the Mediterranean Sea. The resort village is close by with a good selection of sport, restaurant and shopping facilities. Another "must do" is the Sunday Buffet at the Golf Clubhouse, with a scrumptious range of food and drink available with lovely vies across the course. Only five minutes to our favourite beach at Aphrodite Rocks too..!

Special interest holidays:

This is a fantastic location for a cycling holiday with a wonderful local company renting excellent mountain bikes with as much or as little support (e.g. guided rides, transport, emergency back-up) as you wish.

Also wonderful for walking in Spring when the surrounding flora and birdlife are really worth seeing and Cyprus is at its greenest.

In addition to the extensive resort facilities there are lots more attractions and activities within an easy drive and anywhere in Western Cyprus is easily accessible as day trips.

It's also a wonderful location for coastal and mountain walking, with one favourite regular walk of ours being from the Penthouse to the iconic Aphrodite's Rock (less than 1 hour) with the option of returning by pubic bus if desired.


You can walk to the nearest beach in around 20 minutes (it is well below the main resort so uphill on the way back :-)). There are many other beaches nearby - our favourites are Pissouri Bay where a wide range of watersports are available and Kourion where you will find water-side tavernas, gently sloping sands, an equestrian centre and well-preserved archaeological ruins. The coast in this area is generally unspoilt and has some magnificent cliffs with great walking.


Paphos airport is only a 20 minute drive away. Larnaca is around an hour and a half.

A car is not essential, especially if you just want to chill out and enjoy the many facilities of the Resort. Regular, cheap local buses run between Paphos Harbour and Aphrodite's Rock calling at the Resort each way.

But to see more of this lovely island a car is recommended.


The Resort centre with shops, restaurants and sports facilities is a 10 minute walk.

Kouklia, the nearest traditional Cypriot village is a 5 minute car ride.

Pissouri is about a 15 minute car ride.

Paphos is around 20 minutes away.

Aphrodite's Rock, where the goddess of love in Greek mythology is reputed to have emerged from the sea, is a 5 minute drive away.

You can easily drive to Limassol or up to the Troodos mountains where there are many monasteries and wineries to explore.

Further Details:

The Penthouse is in the flagship Theseus Village area of Aphrodite Hills, very near the Resort centre and its facilities - closer than most other properties on the resort.

So the 18 hole Aphrodite Hills golf course, tennis academy, the award-winning Retreat Health Spa, supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants plus a choice of 2 beautifully landscaped pool areas including a safe, sun-shaded paddling pool for children are all on your doorstep.

From Aphrodite Hills it is easy to explore Paphos and all of Western coastal Cyprus. Alternatively you can head East towards Pissouri and Limassol or North into the Troodos Mountains for a complete change of scene.

Aphrodite Hills itself offers plenty to do and explore and the adjacent coastline is also well worth some time. There are some great walking trails both in the hills and ravines around the resort and on this stretch of coast.

There is Segway, bicycle and 4 wheel pedal car hire on the Resort - all an easy stroll from the Penthouse!

Alternatively you can park just across the road from the resort entrance and walk to Aphrodite's Rock along a stunning coastal path in 20-30 minutes. Take your camera for the incredible views!

A bus runs regularly from Aphrodite's Rock to the Resort and on to Paphos Harbour.

Kourion, a local beach, offers spectacular sights and scenery and horse riding as well as safe swimming and beachside restaurants.

If you fancy a bit of off-road adventure, take a Jeep safari over the Akamas Peninsula National Park to the sands of Lara Bay, home to a turtle sanctuary.

You could also visit the small town of Polis, with its blue flag beaches, and nearby Latchi, stopping in one of the picturesque restaurants around the old fishing port and maybe take a boat trip or try some water sports while you are there.

If you're interested in ancient history head for the Tombs of the Kings in Paphos, and the stunning mosaics at the House of Dionysus in Kato Paphos near the harbour

Bookings can be secured upon payment of a 50% deposit with the balance being due 8 weeks before your planned arrival. A £200 damage deposit is required which is fully refundable subject to a satisfactory post-departure inspection.

On arrival at the resort you will be met by our local British agents who will take you to the property, show you round and demonstrate its features. They will also be on hand should you require any advice or assistance during your stay.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible when possible although in peak season Saturday changeovers are encouraged, or timings to dovetail with other guests to minimise void periods.

However please tell us what you're looking for and we will always do our best to accommodate.
